Order placed through Foodja.com - 03/22/23 Fresheria Review: 3 stars = Hard to read labels (containers where plastic &/or black Styrofoam, and tin foil). They used a blue whiteboard marker, which caused issues. Hard to read or came off on others. One sandwich was missing but luckily, they duplicated one, so we had it covered. Now for the Power Shots that I thought were missing. After working with Foodja, they found the shots were delivered bun in small containers (like what the extra sauce comes in, and that's why I didn't think we had them - NO LABLE to identify what they were). We have used Fresheria before but as a Catering order, not as a Teams Order (each one chooses their meal) as we did this time. We will order again even with these mishaps. The freshness of their food outweighs the complications, but the complications needed to be mentioned so they can be addressed. Thank you Fresheria for the excellent meals! What a fun place! They have an extensive menu with Sammy's and Tortas, Wraps and Burritos, Smoothies and Jugos, Salads and Bowls. I was a bit bummed out this morning from my experience. I arrived around 10am to grab breakfast. I walked in and stood in front of the counter for about 5mins and no one came out to take my order Once I called back into the kitchen so see if anyone was there a gentleman came out to take my order. I asked him what was on the croissant sandwich which he didn't know. He handed me a menu so I could see and he started to ring me up but the price of the sandwich he was trying to charge me was different than the price in the menu. I came here today for the first time due to the high rating this place has on Yelp and unfortunately left disappointed. I came during my lunch break and ordered a turkey sandwich with no jalapeños. I was the only person inside the place and they forgot to make my order, which ended up making me late back to work. When I did receive my sandwich, it was sloppily made and had finger dents in the bread. One of my bread slices was the butt end of the bread. I would never serve that to my guests, much less paying customers. We were visiting SD for two and a half days and came here almost everyday! We loved the quality of the drinks and for the price, it was honestly a steal! Most places charge double what they charge for their smoothies. As for smoothies, I got the Blue Kale. It tasted so refreshing. We also got two juices: the Evergreen and the Detox. Parking can be a pain in the butt, since they're always busy, specially during lunch time, but there is 15 minute parking available around the corner if you're just going to pick up or order to go. The charming atmosphere and reasonable price point make it a standout choice. The customized and allergy-free food tastes like it's prepared just for you by your hot auntie or uncle. I had been craving the el vampiro juice from North Park for over 7 years, and when I finally ordered it, it was even better, fresher, and more wonderful than I remembered. Came here to get some greens after gorging on tacos next door. I was delighted to see the cheap price for a small juice $5 and a large juice $6. The store was empty at about 10am on a Saturday morning. The staff were very friendly and allowed me ample time to scope out the menu. I ultimately chose the "green power" a mostly veggie based drink. It was made within minutes and was a great size for $6. However, all I really tasted was celery. I was hoping to get a more well rounded ultimate flavor. I wanted more ginger and lemon. I think they just used mostly celery because it produces the most amount of juice from the other ingredients in the drink. It wasn't a bad drink.. I tried my first acai bowl here, so I really don't have anything else to compare it too. That being said, I really enjoyed it! I had no idea acai bowls were essentially acai sorbet with fruits on top. The acai bowls here came with Bananas, strawberries, honey, granola, and shredded dried coconut. Portion-to-cost ratio wasn't too great, parking is difficult , and there's no outdoor seating besides one small bench. Granted, it is a small little shop. This place was a great find after a long day at the Coggan Aquatic Center! Diverse menu of sandwiches, salads, wraps, ceviche, tostados and espresso drinks! I had the chicken wrap which was delicious and my husband and daughter had sandwiches which they both enjoyed! I typically order for take out which takes about 15-20 minutes. If you are dining in, there is seating inside but not much outside. This is a super casual spot located next to several other places to eat along this strip. Their wraps are all amazing!!! I have also had their agua frescas and juices, they are very fresh...Typing this up has got me craving a wrap. We got sort of a lot of stuff and I thought it was all on the pricier side for something so casual but not totally outrageous or anything. All the ingredients were fresh and pretty tasty. I got the be fresh salad. The ingredients were good but nothing I'd write home about. I've eaten some pretty phenomenal salads and this one was just meh. Not bad but not great. The watermelon smoothie and peanut butter, banana and milk smoothie were both pretty tasty. I wish I had got my own. Instead I got the chamango because I love mango and tajín. It was pretty good but it didn't really taste like fresh mango. It was very sweet. Wouldn't recommend it unless you're having a serious craving. Finally, my mom loved the chia pudding. She wouldn't stop raving about it. To me, it just tasted like Greek yogurt with chia seeds but maybe it's just not my taste. We had no major complaints. Everything was fresh and pretty tasty. Pearl St in La Jolla has some really top notch Mexican places - Don Carlos, Morelianas, and of course Taco Stand. All very tasty - but all very heavy. That's where Fresheria comes in. Lighter fare, like salads and tortas with lean meats, shine here. But the syncronizadas are the hidden gems, sort of a meat quesadilla but not laden with grease. I stopped in upon opening on a early Saturday morning and ordered the breakfast wrap which consisted of a spinach wrap, chopped ham, scrambled eggs, avocado, and a side of green salsa for $5. The wrap arrived piping hot and well stuffed with all its ingredients. I thought the eggs were a little under done or resembled more of a soft scramble. They were lightly seasoned so I added a touch of salt and a moderate amount of black pepper. The ham was tender and savory and the avocado slices ripe and creamy. The spinach wrap had very good flavor and held up very well to the abundance of ingredients inside. The slice the wrap into halves for ease of eating which I appreciated. The green house salsa I tried with the wrap was very good. It was a zesty salsa with a slight acidity. It did not provide much heat, but if it had a good balanced flavor. The owners, a husband and wife time, were simply down to earth types of peeps. They were very amiable towards me and fellow customers that walked in during my visit. Originally I made my way to La Jolla for the Taco Stand, but after seeing a 200 foot long line I decided to check out Fresheria nearby. I am so happy I decided to eat here. I got the fresh wrap, and it was one of the best wraps i've ever had. If you're in La Jolla and want something light, grab a wrap from Fresheria and walk down to the beach to watch the seals and listen to the ocean. I'm looking forward to going back. read more
