Second time was in fact the charm. We visited Ocean Cafe our first and last day while in San Diego. When I say it was easily my favorite açai in the area, that is no joke. The whole trip I could not stop thinking about the Hawaiian bowl and the second time around, we did end up adding a banana muffin, which was absolutely amazing. I didn't get a coffee this time because I just think I am not big cinnamon person. During this stop in the shop got super busy while we were there, the atmosphere was nice and the staff did an amazing job connecting with everyone one of their customers and even bringing our food to us at the table, which was really really nice. I have this spot once a week! My personal favorite açaí in my area. I reallyyyy enjoy their chai and matcha as well (I add their sugar free syrups that are also tasty). They also have GF bagels which are not very common in cafes. I will say - every time I have ordered online they have messed up the order. Their bowls have won a ton of awards (I can see why) and they have pre-made options in addition to "build your own" customizable ordering. I came in early on a Tuesday, so the cafe was pretty quiet and not crowded at all. I needed a place to work for a bit while waiting for my car to finish at the shop, and when I arrived I was a bit worried that Ocean Cafe wasn't the type of place that welcomes remote workers to hang around too long with their laptops. But, I found out later that they do offer free wi-fi for paying guests, you just need to ask for the password at the counter. The seating area is nice but kind of small, I probably wouldn't stay more than an hour or two, but it's definitely nice for a quick meal! read more

This comes with Bacon, Ham, or Turkey with eggs with cheese. We opted for bacon. Upon eating at home, although yummy-there was no bacon inside both sandwiches... what a bummer. For drinks I ordered the Iced Vanilla Caramel Latte and Iced Milky Way Latte both large size. The Vanilla Caramel was too bold and the Milky Way I liked more because it was sweeter and more enjoyable than my order. Overall, a good caffeine boost. A yummy snack was the cheese bread which comes with 4 pieces. These were tasty goodness. Service was sweet!
