    Açaí the authentic way!!

This is by far the best açai that I have experienced in San Diego! So authentic and the staff is so kind and friendly They don't use sorbet they use the real thing which is so nice huge difference!!

Delicious Acai served here!! It tastes really authentic and cleaner than other acai places. They offer a good amount of toppings and other options. The workers are really friendly and explain the entire ordering process to you. The menus are sheets that you write on with a whiteboard marker and fill out.

I first saw this from a video and got intrigued since we're huge fans of acai. Our go-to place sadly closed down last year so we were in the hunt for a new one. It's located inside a cookie shop and they don't really have an obvious signage unless you enter. The staff here has always been friendly and accommodating to walk us through the ordering process. Basically, you get a cheat sheet and get to customize it yourself. Their biggest size is actually humongous and we love the variety of their toppings. I just wish more fruits are included but the price isn't all too bad. Their acai base here is more on the watery side which I learned is traditional to Brazil. Also, don't sleep on their pao de quiejo! We could devour dozens of those.

Almost went back for more! The açaí consistency is top tier and the fruit is fresh and sweet as can be. I love the format of picking your toppings. Staff was friendly, it can definitely get busy on the weekends.

Cute little stand with AMAZING acai bowls! I ordered a size small and it was filled with so much yumminess! I love that they put mango sorbet(I think). I haven't really seen that anywhere. Whats better than eating acai on the beach!!?? Will go there again when I'm in PB!

Really enjoyed the açaí bowls here! I love how they layer the toppings so you get a perfect spoonful of fruit and whatever toppings you chose in every bite. The staff was super friendly, and this was the perfect treat after a fun day at the beach. Definitely coming back next time I'm in San Diego!

Literally the best açaí in town, don't waste time looking else where. Also, the service is the best all around. The employees are sooooo friendly!! They were just so nice, and always down to chat and give local recommendations as well!

A great Brazilian Açaí spot. For $11 you can order a regular with 2 toppings. I usually get the pistachio butter and the nut granola. Service is quick! Grab a pad and pen and fill out your order. When it's finished they place it on the rotation table. Location is a small shack so it truly is a grab and go but the employees are chill!

Excellent presentation and the açaí has a unique creaminess that I really enjoyed. However, for the $15.50 medium size, I really shouldn't have to pay extra for more than 3 toppings. It was really good, but I think there are other options at this price point that give more liberty when building your own toppings.

One of my new top açaí spots in San Diego! The fruit was fresh, and the açaí had the perfect flavor and consistency. I loved the layering of the granola (it stayed crunchy throughout) and the peanut butter was delicious. The portion size was reasonable for the price. The two shop owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. I'll definitely be back and highly recommend this spot!

Paulo and Giovanni are very kind I always love coming back here!! Tight next to the ocean and I love the vibes

I'm obsesseddddd! The fruits and the acai tasted so fresh. All the ingredients seem very high quality. You can really taste the difference between Acai Carioca and your average Acai shop. It's a must try!

The best açaí in USA ever !! Quality and fresh ingredients, great service and enjoyable ambiance

I placed an order ahead of time and showed up about 25 minutes later thinking it would be ready. When I checked in, a younger employee told me it would be another 10 minutes. Annoying, but okay. The parking situation around here is already a nightmare, so I really wasn't thrilled about having to stand around waiting even longer. Well, those 10 minutes turned into 25. During that time, I watched multiple people walk in, place orders after I had already checked in, and receive their food before me. The crazy part? It wasn't even busy. There was no line out the door, no rush, no obvious reason for such a ridiculous delay. After waiting long enough, I finally went up to an older gentleman working there (I'm assuming the owner) and politely explained that I had been waiting a very long time and was confused why people ordering after me were getting their food first. Instead of apologizing or even acknowledging the mistake, he was rude, dismissive, and acted like I was inconveniencing him for asking about an order that should have been ready ages ago. Then, after another 10 minutes, my bowls were finally ready. In total, I waited about 35 minutes after checking in for pickup. To top it all off, the older gentleman practically shoved the bowls at me without so much as a "sorry for the wait." Look, delays happen. Mistakes happen. What bothered me was the complete lack of communication, accountability, and basic customer service. If you're running behind, just be honest about it. Don't tell someone 10 minutes when it's really going to be over half an hour. The açaí is good, but not nearly good enough to make up for being treated like an annoyance. There are plenty of other places in San Diego serving great bowls without the attitude.

Street parking is available, but depending on the day and time, finding a spot can be an adventure of its own. Give yourself some extra time, especially on the weekends. Do public transportation if you can. Seating: Limited seating both indoor and outdoor. Room for maybe 20 people. Vibes: Welcome to PB. What's cool is that you're a few steps away from Crystal Pier and the beach, then you got your PB things from local beach goers to some fun random events. The spot itself is nothing too flashy. It has your nice pop music playing with some photos of their drinks and their accolades. Good for a grab and go but if you need a break from the heat, this is a chill (no pun intended). FOOD/DRINKS Funky Monkey Mocha (Recommend) This was good. What's not to love - banana, peanut butter, and chocolate. Fich mocha with a nice fruity sweetness of banana and that nutty taste from the peanuts. A fun and desert like drink that gives you a good caffeine kick. CUSTOMER SERVICE Great! Down-to-earth and welcoming. The menu was overwhelming but I had helpful service. TL;DR OVERALL 4.5 Stars. Good coffee, reasonable prices, and a fun selection that gives this little PB coffee shop its identity. Nothing flashy just simple drinks with growing flavors to reflect the diversity of people that come and visit. Their maybe many coffee shops in this are but it had a good charm. Much love to the Kozoglu family and the Pacific Bean team for holding it down! TIPS: - Definitely explore the signature mocha menu--there are A LOT of choices.

Another Fri-yay, another stop at Better Buzz... Now that we've embarked upon the month of…read moreSeptember, we're in my BDay month... and yes, I celebrate ALL month! I'm that girl. But I digress. Apparently, Better Buzz believes in birthdays too because they sent me my free drink reward today. So of course, I had to stop by before work and pick up a, you guessed it... Pumpkin Spice Latte. There were a few cars on the drive-thru ahead of me, but the line moved quickly. I also noticed that Better Buzz now has egg bites, so I also ordered the Veggie egg bites to give them a try along with my iced PSL. When I got to the window, my drink was ready, the employee at the window was cheerful, and I paid $8.33 for my egg bites (which was a little steep), and then I was on my way to work. The egg bites came with a little spicy yogurt sauce which was a nice tough. Better Buzz says they make the egg bites, "fresh in house, every day using cage free eggs." The egg bites did indeed seem very fresh, and I enjoyed dipping them in the sauce to add a bit more depth of flavor to them. The PSL is as PSLs are... mildly aromatic, sweet, and heavily flavored with cinnamon and pumpkin notes. It was an enjoyable way to start the morning, although I will go back to my basic and boring Americanos tomorrow because I tend to shy away from sugar in my drinks to be able to enjoy a sweet treat at some point in the day. I guess this was my sweet treat for today! I think Better Buzz doesn't get the respect it deserves from locals and self-described coffee people. Sure, many of the drinks here are sweet and a bit extra, but BB also has solid espresso drinks without all of the the syrups and added stuff. They may not offer pretentious pour over coffee from some faraway place, but they are consistent, kind, and fun. Better Buzz is a great place to go for a coffee or tea drink, a refresher type drink, and or light bites. I still really appreciate their generous rewards program, and honestly, I'll be a fan for a long time to come. Peace.

BETTER BUZZ @ PACIFIC BEACH WEST…read more Parking can be a little tricky here. They do have paid parking right out front, but honestly, if you just turn down one of the side streets, there's plenty of free neighborhood parking. That's what I did, and I found a spot almost instantly with no time limit, which was super convenient. I visited around noon on a Thursday, and it was definitely pretty busy. I've never been to this Better Buzz location before, and I was honestly surprised by how many Better Buzz locations there are around Pacific Beach! This one is located right next to Moonshine Beach and has both indoor and outdoor seating. We ended up sitting inside, but all the windows were open, so it still had a really nice, airy atmosphere. I ordered an iced vanilla latte with nonfat milk, light ice, and added a scoop of protein powder. I've been trying to increase my protein intake lately, so I loved that they offered protein as an add-in. They also have a great selection of pastries, bakery items, smoothies, and their signature Best Drink Ever options. The staff were super friendly, and I placed my order online since the line was pretty long. It made the whole process quick and easy. As for the drink, I honestly wasn't the biggest fan. It was definitely something different, but I don't think I'd order it again. The café also didn't have as many outlets as I was hoping for if you're planning to work there. There were quite a few bugs and flies inside, and the tables were a little sticky when we first sat down. Overall, though, it still had a great vibe, and I would definitely come back to try something else on the menu.
