I finally decided to visit on Monday, June 16th, to have a worn spark plug replaced--I'm so glad I did. From the very first phone call, I was impressed. Jon, the service advisor, was friendly, clear, and professional. He took the time to explain everything in detail, including letting me know that their technicians would be taking lunch at noon--so I could plan my visit to avoid unnecessary waiting. That kind of thoughtfulness already set the tone for a great experience. They do not have a fancy waiting area nor a beautiful building facade or multiple choices of beverages but they have the best customer service, pricing and quality assurance of their work. From the outside, the building looks insight or unlikely but this is a total hidden gem on Bandera road. This is my new place for all my car's service and maintenance needs.

The prior shops would replace & adjust the brakes but after a while the annoying noise would return! I spoke on the phone & briefed the brake guys on where I was with this issue. Richard said he would do brake inspection and then gave me a reasonable estimate for brake job, which was actually less than estimates I got from other auto repair garages and national tire and repair centers. Richard explained options and gave his recommendation on what needed to be done to get the brake job done correctly. He only replaced the parts that needed to be replaced and warranties the work he does with parts he replaces. I am completely satisfied with the work done and cost and recommend Techmasters Auto Center and would advise everyone needing car maintenance and repair to call Richard even if you have used other garages in the past. Finding a trustworthy mechanic is tricky when you're new to town. This shop is anything but…read moretrustworthy. But I saw positive reviews, so I took my car there. The shop owner (David) ignored me as I tried to explain the problem, and how to resolve it. He was dismissive and rude as I made every attempt to describe the issue. I sufficiently explained EXACTLY what was wrong with it, but he legit blew me off. It was weird. He insisted on the key and then he said he'd call. So I gave him the key and waited. After 30mins, my buddy drove me past the shop to see their progress. I visually could see that it was resolved! But the mechanic hadn't called me yet. Clearly he was milking the clock. Then when I went to pay for everything, he charged me $25 for a completely unnecessary diagnostic fee. So I confronted him about it. He said: "You told me you didn't know what was wrong with it. We had to run a diagnostic. It's standard." Nah, bro. I told you EXACTLY what was wrong - I even showed you. He argued with me, and even tore up the receipt in the office saying: "Fine, don't pay for it!" I was in shock. Bottom line: this is not someone with whom you should do business. Incredibly disrespectful, emotionally unhinged, and thoroughly deceptive.
