My fiance and I went in today to pick out the suit that I would be wearing to the wedding plus the groomsmen, ring bear, ushers, and father of the bride and groom suits. We were feeling a little bit overwhelmed; however once Dessie stepped in to help us we were fine. She went above and beyond to help us find exactly what we're looking for! A buddy of mines wedding is coming up so I had to get a suit obviously, I live in San Diego and went to the friar tux out here but the suit they had for me was just a little small, they said they would have a larger one for me there the next day, well there was some mix up with the truck and they said it wouldn't be here until that Monday, now mind you I leave For the wedding on Wednesday. they said the suit was in Anaheim, so I decided to drive up there as I was nervous I would be cutting it close if I waited until Monday. Had an appointment with them at 1 pm and then they didn't start seeing us till 2:30 pm. I dont understand why they would make appointments 15 minutes apart for a total of 7 guys for both appointments. Not only that but they wanted to charge us $145 per person to rent a tuxedo and that was including $60 off. I can purchase a suit for that price. If we didn't get those $60 off would we be paying $200 or more for a rent . That's insane for a rental. read more

When I went to get my rental, they then added a surcharge that equaled 37.50%. They called it an insurance fee, but you have to get it, even if you don't want it. If they had told me about it when they quoted me the price on the phone, I would not have rented it from them. They know people would not rent from them if they knew about the surcharge, so they purposely don't tell you about it on the phone. read more

What a waste of time! I rented a black suit and specifically asked for suspenders and suit trousers! They gave me tux pants!!!! And they didn't fit well! Suspenders didn't work. Experience here got worse and worse the more errors we noticed popping up. The final fitting experience was rushed and completely lack luster. Not to mention the fact that they mischarged the amount due and couldnt figure out how to fix it. And we wanted multiple options for our suits for the groomsmen, when we came to friar tux we were blown away by all the options and selections they had. Friar tux has done it again. For my wedding they were there when we had to drop out of another store because they didn't really have what we asked for. My brothers wedding is days away. My husband wanted to look nice and get a suit. With only days from a wedding getting it hemmed and what not seems impossible. We went to this store and they helped us out immediately. Kevin was great along with the other associate. They recommended a hem place and now my husband will have a suit ready (hemmed and tapered) a day before the wedding.
