Our experience here started off okay and then went downhill. First of all, this store is always understaffed with just the same two people even when they are extremely busy. My fiancé & I came here to get fitted for him and 10 other guys. My fiancé was originally going to purchase his suit but they didn't have his size and we didn't want to deal with alot of tailoring so we went somewhere else for his tux. The 10 other guys were fitted but when the pick ups were available, most of the suits had issues and the staff didn't seem to care. One of the guys had an issue with his shirt and vest. The shirt was too big and the vest was too small. They had to order this again. Another guy also had an issue with his shirt and the neck fitting way too tight. He was provided with a different shirt that was too big but was able to make it work. Another one had an issue with his jacket where it was way too tight but luckily they had another one in stock. There was more of these issues and the entire time the staff seemed very indifferent about the issues and didn't seem to think it was a big deal that a shirt was too tight or too big. If we're spending alot of money on these suits for an important event, the staff should be more a little more understanding and caring. They brushed things off like it was no big deal. Maybe to them it wasn't but to us it was. What is the point of taking measurements when everything is going to turn out incorrect? Not sure I would recommend this place to anyone, especially not a for a large party. read more

Came here with my soon to be husband and his groomsmen, we didn't have an appointment but we figured we could just come in and look and decide on a style and color we were treated pretty rudely and rushed and no one seemed like there were interested in working, just getting out early. The guy and girl there refused to measure any of us, but they had no problem helping out the other 6 people that walked in by themselves. Definitely not coming back, will not give business to people who have to interest working. read more

Went in last night in a hurry to get fitted with a Tux for the weekend. Got fitted quick and fully paid. Found out last night that my friends went to another store to buy Suits instead of rent. So I ended up canceling my rental from Friar first thing the next morning as they opened. Guy on the phone said he has cancelled my rental and said that I would get the full refund back because it was a cancelled ASAP. Just got off the phone again because I was wondering how long it would take for the refund to come back to my card since I fully paid the previous night. The guy on the phone said that the refund was not issued this morning, only the rental order was cancelled. They charged me $20 for canceling after less than 10 hours. Really disappointed at the fact that the first employee in the morning cancelled my order but didn't issue my refund. Also disappointed that the second employee I talked to charged me my $20 for the reason of "items have already been pulled for my order". Now I'm down $160 for 5-7 business days. Thanks guys! Definitely coming back! *update* Michelle, the Manager of the Anaheim location spoke to me today and resolved my issue. Still down $160 for the next couple of days but I'm getting my full $160 back. read more

Javier Santana helped set us up for our wedding. He was very friendly, professional, and above all: knowledgeable. Everything was delivered on time and with the right dimensions. We feel that he went above and beyond our expectations. We also had experiences (for the same wedding) at other locations, and we were unimpressed -- and disappointed -- with their services. They had measurements that were off, and apparently one of the reps didn't read our specific instructions that were placed in the system in regards to how to handle the suits requested by one of our groomsmen. To keep it short: they messed up. We had all suits transferred to the Anaheim location instead. We also had a new employee help us in Anaheim while Javier was gone. Although he was enthusiastic, the measurements he took were bigger than those measured by Javier, and sure enough, when we came in for some fitting, they were ill-fitting. Javier promptly fixed my measurements to what he had originally found once he returned. With Javier, our experience was absolutely great. I am only knocking 1 star off for the location due to the wrong measurements by the other employee. Thanks a bunch, Javier! read more

She went above and beyond to even dress up the mannequins to look like what we chose. She provided great insight and helpful tips. I stopped in to see about renting or purchasing a suit for my sons upcoming wedding, apparently the staff there at the Friar Tuks in Anaheim on Claudia way can't help more the two guests at a time because my wife and I where totally ignored. I will never go to this establishment again, it's safe to say the customer service really sucks. If I could give this business a negative star rating I would give it a minus 4 stars. If a reservation is needed it might be a good idea to post that on the front door. read more

I have to give this place 5 stars because of the ultra superior service we received when we called them last minute for a photo booth. Did all of you know that they rent out photo booths for events like weddings and proms? Well, guess what? They do and if you're planning an event, a photo booth is a unique addition to any party! I called them in a tizzy because our other photo booth vendor backed out at the last minute. I remember how much fun we had at my best friend's wedding and decided to try to get them for my wedding. Not only were they so accommodating, but they gave us the tux rental discount. By the way, if you rent tuxs' at this shop, you get a crazy discount on the photo booth. And they don't skimp either. It ended up being about $500 LESS than any other photo booth company I checked out. They not only did an awesome job with the pictures and entertaining our guests, they gave us a REALLY nice photo album and had our guests put their pictures in the book and sign it. They brought all kinds of props, pens for signing the book and tons of decorations. After our wedding was over, they gave us the flash drive, our album AND gave us login info for the online gallery. We got so many compliments on our photo booth and it was just the extra touch that we needed to make our wedding unique. Thank you Friar! You did an amazing job and I really appreciate you making so many memories for us. I love you guys! read more

We walked into Friar Tux shop on a Friday night. We needed a tux for Saturday night. The shop was very busy, but very organized. We didn't wait long before Sean V., the manager, called our name. He listened to our needs and helped us choose the perfect tux. The fitting was done efficiently and quickly. We were told we could pick the tux up anytime after noon on Saturday. As promised, the tux was ready. Sean recognized us as we entered the shop. He made sure everything was perfect, even replacing the shoes that had a small scuff on them. Within 30 minutes, she put together a perfect suit for him, measurements and all. She's very knowledgeable and accommodating. The initial fitting seemed to go A-OK. When I came to pick up my order to get fitted, they seemed like they didn't expect me. That was a bit strange. One of the ladies working seemed very adamant about getting us in and out which I appreciated cause I didn't want to spend too long in there. Universally, I have not met anyone that has been pleased with the way their dress shirts fit. While mine fit perfectly, everyone of the groomsmen at my sister's wedding had something to say about the shirt. I was a little self-conscious of this so I kept my jacket on for most of the ceremony. Keep in mind this Friar's is in an odd, warehouse like location near Disneyland. read more
