I've twice gone to Friedman's for appliances in the last year, and their service and selection is outstanding. The personal attention they provide, problem-solving and "can do" attitude, with follow-through, are exemplary. The first place I tried to buy a new refrigerator, after our 30-year old subzero failed, were morons. Their delivery people were unprepared and unprofessional, so bad we had to cancel the order -- they couldn't even get it into the house after spending a couple hours trying, and tried to "turn off" the water under the sink -- think about that for a second! Can anyone imagine the water line to a refrigerator coming from there? We had to kick them out and demand a refund. The Friedman's installers, on the other hand, were certified experts, problem-solved our awful front steps situation, got it into the house and did the installation correctly. They knew how to turn off the water at the source, too. I went back for a washer and dryer just recently, and again, the professionalism and attention were the best. Knew our refrigerator was on its way out. Went in a little concerned about finding something that would fit in the same space, as the cabinets had been built around the old one. Jeff Halliday helped me find one that was not only a great refrigerator and would fit in my space, and got me a good deal on it to boot. Bill was a huge lifesaver! I ordered a washer from another local business and when they attempted to deliver they had already given my model to another customer earlier in the day. I called Bill on a Monday and he was able to have the exact same unit delivered on Tuesday. He was very careful with handling and maneuvering this almost 600 pound appliance. Getting it into our house and around the various obstacles was done masterfully, avoiding any damage to our home and the new refrigerator. Blake went above and beyond in ensuring the installation was as perfect as possible, and the water-line was secure. Update: 9/26/25 The manager contacted me last week and I was able to select a replacement refrig. last weekend and have it delivered this week. Working with Bill, selecting and scheduling the replacement went seamlessly. The delivery and installation also went smoothly & efficiently with Armando & Brandon. They texted me with arrival status and made sure everything was good before they left. Great delivery team. Updated my review from 1 star to 3 stars. ******* Good customer service until the appliance stopped working. Purchased a refrig and extended warranty less than 2 years ago and the refrigeration section stopped working end August. Friedman's sent out their warranty repairman to replace 1 or 2 parts. The replaced parts did not solve the issue (refrig still goes well over 45 F). I've contacted Friedman's at least 4 times only to be advised that they will contact warranty repair team again. I have yet to hear from the repairmen. I have also left 4 messages for the manager, Al, in the last 2 weeks and have yet to get a call back. How much more unprofessional can it get when you are ghosted by the manager with whom I've never even spoken and the repair team? I would be happier if they just called me and told me that the brand I purchased may not reliable and offer suggestions rather than be totally ghosted. read more

We have done business with Friedman's for over 20 years. 4 years ago we bought a GE dishwasher. It worked fine until it didn't. Luckily we bought the extended warranty. Friedman's sent a GE repair out and he got it working until it didn't. Friedman's sent another repairman that said he fixed the issue. 2 days later we asked for another repairman. He came out and this time found the problems. Cost to repair was equal to cost to replace. The salesman was dealing with was Oz. He was very helpful and took our case up the ladder. They agreed to credit us the sales price for our unit. We chose to upgrade to Meile. All went very smooth. Thank you Oz for helping us get this resolved. We came back again! Friedmans has such great inventory to choose from and knowledgeable and friendly sales and service folks. This time, our 7 year old range needed (sadly) to be replaced. We thought it would last us 20 years, and we were seriously not ready for another high cost appliance but working with Brian Ortega helped us make a solid decision based on appliance lifetime, service quality and name brand, so we chose a beautiful Wolf dual fuel range and thought delivery was about going to be a month out. Surprised when Brian called us a few days later to let us know the range came in! Installation and delivery was done by John Yeagar at Top Tier Installation the very next day. They had to do a few adjustments and a change to the plug, but had it in and done in about an hour. A pleasant experience all around and John knows his stuff! I give both companies an A++ for their professionalism, courtesy and knowledge of their business. Bonus for using Top Tier was getting an additional year on top of Wolfs warranty due to John being a certified Wolf installer. I hope we won't need to buy any more appliances any time soon but if we do you can count on another review from me. read more

Tom West is the hero of my dilemma when a fire in my oven ruined my apple pies and a Bosch oven that I found out was discontinued years ago. Because the oven I had was a European style oven, I wanted an oven that was the same style as the Bosch oven so we wouldn't have to cut into the cabinetry to fit an American size oven. Thanks to Tom's steadfast commitment to helping find an oven to correct my problem. he found an Italian manufacturer who had a model that would fit perfectly in the space saving my cabinetry. While we came in on our first visit and thought we knew what we wanted, we ended up coming in at least five more times over the month. Mynor from Custom Appliance Installations did a great job installing the unit. We had a rat problem in the past that damaged the old dishwasher, and he had to modify the cabinet so the new on would fit. Recently we had a problem getting service for a Fisher-Paykel dishwasher that we bought from them several years ago. It was no longer Friedmans responsibility but I was at my wit's end after several months of back-and-forth with a repair service, so I stopped by and talked to Howard Pimental. He immediately emailed the F-P rep with the details and, a week later, a F-P service rep repaired our dishwasher at no charge to us. This was definitely above-and-beyond and much appreciated! I cannot offer enough praise & gratitude to Mr. Peter Burstedt, Friedman's sales for urgently supporting me with immediately replacing my 15 Y.O. large freezer (loaded with food) on a Sunday just before Christmas - some food had begun to thaw... I explained to Peter that my wife just had surgery 2 days earlier and i that i could not possibly leave home to shop - he assisted and gave me what turned out to be the best honest advise in making my purchase. Then the delivery was right on time with Kevin & his partner rose to the occasion with a yes we can positive attitude! my home has a very tight entry; so they had to take the freezer door off to get thru the space and without room to be able to use a dolly, physically muscle/carry it thru that tight space for about 20 feet and then climb over the top of the freezer with a ladder to exit... obviously, i tipped them generously but Kevin & Friedman delivery staff are stellar, respectful, and pros!!! My wife and I recently purchased a new GE profile washer/dryer. We already knew we wanted to check out Friedmans since we've had numerous family members purchase appliances here and we're satisfied. Going into it, we already had a pretty good idea what we wanted after days of research. We were promptly greeted by an employee, and though he was very friendly and accommodating, I didn't quite get the sense he was super knowledgeable in the washer/dryer space. Ultimately that wasn't a deal breaker for us since we had already narrowed down what we wanted. Luckily, the set we chose was in stock and within 2 days we're delivered. The delivery service was very professional. 3 guys showed up and were very careful not to scuff walls and took extra caution lugging old washer/dryer downstairs and getting new set upstairs (laundry room on second floor). The reason for the 4 stars was that the original dryer had made a sound upon installation and ended up being a defective unit. Friedmans however had another of the same unit in stock and quickly delivered the new replacement within 2 days. Install again was great, however, the one hiccup was that the installers forgot to turn on the gas line after install. No big deal - it was just the turn of a knob. Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase from here again. Service was great and delivery timely. Price seemed fair too. read more

I had a great experience at Friedmans when purchasing my new refrigerator. I had a very old built in fridge that I wanted to replace with a standard fridge. I was having a lot of trouble finding someone to remove my old built in fridge. I called up Friedmans and spoke over the phone with Oz who was very helpful in connecting me with a company who would do this for me. I then visited the store to pick out a new fridge and Pedro was very helpful in knowing exactly what size and style of fridge would work best given my situation. He made the process of buying a new fridge very easy. I was able to buy a new fridge and have it installed the next day with the company that was recommended. Couldn't be happier with my new fridge!!! I was pleased with my whole experience at Friedmans and grateful to Oz and Pedro for their help. Yet another easy purchase working with Neel Patel. Friedman's is a trusted retailer of mine in an industry that doesn't have a lot of trusted retailers. I look after my house and my mother's and so in the past few years, I've replaced a fridge, microwave, washer/dryer and recently two ranges when our old Electrolux died after 10 years and Electrolux no longer makes parts. Frankly, Friedman's staff are all very good, which must mean they're doing something right by their employees, but Neel has gone above and beyond to make it easy time and again, and I'd recommend working with him. They also connected me with quality installers who are certified to install the brands they carry. In my case, it was a Wolf 30" slide in range IR30450/T, and the installer had to modify countertops and cabinet trim for a proper fit. I know it was a difficult task but they did it professionally and with expertise. Next up is Jeannie Normandeau who sold me the washer. She is knowledgeable, patient and made you feel at ease and comfortable. She made me happy and content.
