Love this little donut shop!!! My brother told us about this place and I knew we had to try it. The seasonal flavors (we went in May) are to die for and they have such a good variety of classic donuts but also specialty donuts. We got multiple to bring to friends and share. My favorite was the yuzu orange creamsicle croissant wheel, baked chocolate chip dossant, and the chocolate long john filled with coffee cream. The lilikoi glaze was also pretty good but didn't have the strongest passionfruit flavor. I was pretty disappointed in the guava fritter - couldn't taste any guava flavor at all. I would still come back to try more seasonal flavors and the donuts are so fresh. read more

This is by far my favorite donut place! Not only do they always have an amazing variety, but they change things up and play with new flavors constantly. Everything I've ever gotten has been delicious. The only hard thing here is making decisions on which ones to choose each visit because you'll want them all. I spent $100 in donuts lol That might seem ridiculous. I bought 2 dozen to take to work with me last Friday. The donuts brightened the work place. Everyone enjoyed the mochi donuts. I personally, thought they were alright. The mochi donuts have an interesting texture. Definitely different from normal donuts. I'm just not a fan. The assorted premium donuts were alright. It was fun to try the flavors out. But most weren't very good. The ube donut was so plain. The carrot cake was good without carrot cake on top. The cream filled one was too much cream. The homer donut was good. Animal cracker donut was decent. The croissant/ donut with strawberry was good. And the blueberry vegan donut was the winner. As a vegan I've searched high and low trying to fill the huge donut void that being vegan had created. I've whined for days, thrown hangry fits, and drooled with jealousy as my family enjoyed pink boxes filled with the tasty, nostalgic, fluffy rings of comfort. Then one day the sky parted and rays of light surrounded this beautiful place: Friendly Donuts in Orange, CA! They have a fabulous selection of vegan donuts, the flavors of which dance on my tongue and make my heart sing with delight. I am solemnly telling the truth when I say these vegan donuts taste just as wonderful as regular donuts do. They have an even more humongous selection of classic donuts, so you can do a taste test right there if you do not believe the ramblings of a random and seemingly crazed donut junkie! Pictured here are the vegan chocolate bar, the vegan cake donut, and the classic tiger tail. Unfortunately I didn't get a shot of my strawberry rice milk, the maple bar, or the dirty thai tea we also got. Self-control is not my strong suit. That explains the crumbs, bits of icing, and the occasional sprinkle on the car seats. But wait! There's more!! The service is fantabulous!! Every time we've gone we've been greeted and served patiently (it takes me a while to decide which delectable donut I would like to partake in each time, but they never rush me) and "friendly." One of the Greatest donut in OC specially Dubai ones...Great service and cute ambiance! We really love their fresh donuts and their perfect service! Walking through the door to this unassuming donut shop I was transported back to roller skates, bell bottoms and banana seat bicycles. What a fun vibe unique from the typical pink box. Super friendly service while we gazed through the looking glass. So many important decisions to make. The selections of donuts were on a larger scale like all of your favorite donut shops in one. There's traditional, dossants, mochi and their specialty flavors. There's also a few breakfast items, merch and of course coffee. You know it'll be good when there's a line. read more

What I Ordered: Einspanner $2 Vietnamese Matcha Cold Foam $6 Fruity Pebbles Doughnut $3.36 French Cream Doughnut $4.92 Strawberry Cream Artisan Donut Milk and Cookies Mochi Doughnut $3 Peaches and Cream Croissant Wheel $6 Ube Croissant Wheel $6 Wonderful donut shop in the heart of Orange County. I started off with the drinks including the Einspanner and Vietnamese Coffee Matcha Cold Foam. The Einspanner was only $2! IN THIS ECONOMY! I don't know anywhere else that has an Einspanner for $2 at this time. The Vietnamese Coffee Matcha Cold Foam was delicious and had a lot of caffeine in the drink. I was surprised at how strong the flavors of the matcha were, and the quality of matcha they used was amazing. Another point that surprised me was how the matcha and coffee flavor profiles complemented each other. There was just the right amounts of matcha foam and powder on top of the coffee to not overpower but also have the matcha flavors still be present with each sip. I would love to go back and try the matcha lattes here. The variety of donuts at the shop was crazy. From the classics to fancy donuts, they had it all. My favorite was the Strawberry Artisan Cream Donut. The sweetness of the cream was well paired with the fruitiness of the strawberries. I liked that thsy used a dossant, which is a combination of a donut and croissant! The milk and cookies Mochi donut was great as well, with each bite being chewier than the next. I loved the cookie bits with the cream on top of the donuts. read more

Yes, yes, yes! I love this place. I'm updating this so say that their Dubai Chocolate donut is amazing! I recommend it 100%. I also had the Halo halo donut topped with an umbrella and flan on top. It probably weighed a pound. It was so good! The pandan icing was so good. The ube custard inside was so rich and just oozes out of the center. Wow! Service here is always friendly and top notch! read more

Ube is a purple yam -- It has a smooth texture and a mild, sweet flavor that has been compared to white chocolate or a cross between vanilla and pistachio. That beautiful purple color is its natural color.

I have to admit that the Aussie style breakfast is along with different twist on certain things that you wouldn't typically have for breakfast or initially caught my eye. I started off with the golden latte. It was a beautifully balanced turmeric latte with almond milk with a perfect amount of sweetness. Not only was it gut healing, but it's super warming on a chilly morning. While I was looking over the menu, I was between the breakfast burrito since everybody was ordering it or the soft scramble with chili oil. I landed on the soft scrambled chili crunch. It was served with a half avocado and rye toast the others in our party ordered pancakes, bacon, a chicken sandwich and a Yuzu drink. Everything came out in a timely manner and beautifully plated. I absolutely loved the soft scramble on Rye. It was a perfect serving size as well as hitting the spot for a not so traditional breakfast. As we're sitting there, I noticed everybody was ordering the lemon ricotta pancakes, so I could not resist and ordered some as well. I will say the most underwhelming part of that was the lemon ricotta pancakes due to the ratios for the pancake pancakes and lemon ricotta. Overall, my experience was spectacular. I cannot wait to go back to Bluestone Lane to try other menu items.

Plenty of seating in the food court with outdoor shaded seating too.
