The manager was super accommodating when we needed a place to get some work done. He sat us away from the bustle of the main dining room in a section without a server and served us himself, cracked jokes and made us feel so welcome. The rest of the waitstaff were amazing as well. The evening before our wedding in Bristol/Providence, we stopped at this location off of 95 for a quick bite. It was already 7pm and we were in a rush, so we called ahead in the car, intending to eat while continuing our drive south. So we ordered a couple of meals and a shake to-go by phone and then headed over to pick them up. We were quoted 15-20 minutes. We arrived in 10, left almost an hour later. They hadn't even started on our meals and despite stating that they would start our shake upon arrival, it took fifteen minutes after me paying for them to start on that. Then, of course, they gave us the wrong size- a kids one! No, we did not have any kids with us. They also forgot our second drink- "I thought the milkshake was your drink" despite paying for two. After 45 minutes, the manager came and gave me my tip back in cash because voiding a credit card transaction was too much work for them. Oh well. He didn't even offer to comp one of the meals, or both, for us despite the fact that we were still waiting by the time he arrived. The final issue was, after almost an hour, they forgot all silverware. The guy didn't even know where to find it. UGH! Nothing you receive will look like the picture or even any normal description. They mixed fries and broccoli together in the to-go box, making for some soggy fries... Just avoid at all costs. AVOID! read more

This location is one of the better ones in my opinion. It's pretty clean for a restaurant full of children and it doesn't smell like rotten milk like other Friendly's I've visited. The perfect time to go is after 8 when kids aren't the main patrons and theres plenty of seating. Waiting for a host/hostess is always tricky at every Friendly's I have ever been to. This one is no exception. You will wait. You will wonder if anyone is ever going to seat you. You will wonder if the people in the kitchen, staring at you, will notify someone that you're standing there waiting. Eventually someone will skulk out of the back and realize a human entered and would like to start eating soon. Once seated everything moves pretty quickly. Our server was friendly and attentive. He put ranch on my sandwich even though I asked to have it removed but it was fine I was just trying to watch my calories so not life threatening. Food came out quick and was tasty. Our ice cream was perfect and he hooked us up with lots of fudge and strawberry sauce. Prices are up there for what you get but I've definitely paid more for less so no real complaints in that arena. All in all a decent choice if you're in the area and craving a little piece of New England childhood. read more

My boyfriend and I come here all the time for take out sundaes, but after our last experience here we would probably never come back again if it wasn't for the excellent taste of the ice cream. For the past couple of months our sundae orders have been messed up 4-5 different times that we've visited. We always order the same thing and it's always a simple order so it's astonishing to me how it continually is wrong. One time both our ice cream flavors were wrong and pretty much every time we go our toppings are wrong or missing. This time I received hot fudge which I didn't ask for (and actually hate on a sundae) and the almonds I wanted (and was dying to have) were missing. I know it's just ice cream but I'm so picky with how things taste that it's a huge disappointment to me. I feel like I can't trust this place anymore. I've never had this problem at any other ice cream shop I've been to. I don't know if this is due to the fact that the employees just don't care or not. I will say though, there are some employees there who we've had in the past that did an excellent job, but they don't seem to work in the front anymore. I suggest going forward that the order taker at least read back the order to the customer to make sure it's correct! If a Ben & Jerry's opened around here I would never go to this Friendly's again! read more

Friendly's is my go-to spot for comfort food (check out my reviews of other locations if you don't believe me), but this location didn't live up to my expectations. I came here because a friend from Louisiana had never eaten at a Friendly's, and was about to move back home where she would forever be deprived of Conehead sundaes and Fribbles. I could not allow that to happen. We both really enjoyed our food and ice cream. However, service was really off. Our waitress was very slow. In the beginning of our meal we cut her some slack because the restaurant was slammed. But later in our meal she was hanging out and socializing with a nearby table for almost 10 minutes while we waited - for refills (which she asked us about but never got us), for to-go boxes, for our ice cream orders, then for our ice cream. She self-consciously noted that "we must hate her!" more than once during our meal. Girl, if you know you're messing up that hard, you really should be trying to make up for it. 3 stars because even with terrible service and long delays, the Honey BBQ Chicken Super Melt is still the most delicious artery-clogging food in the world, and everything tastes better with hot fudge, whipped cream and a cherry on top. read more

Great place to grab a patty melt. The waffle fries are awesome. The ice cream of course is to die for ...plenty of flavor options and toppings galore. I love the Friendly's Vienna mocha chunk flavor with whipped cream, hot fudge and chocolate jimmies! Yum! It's not gourmet but hits the spot when the mood strikes. My daughter took me here with my mither. It was an odd time because we had to wait while my glasses were getting fixed and thought wed get ice cream. The server was very aweet. My mother and i just got scooos of ice cream and my daughger got a hot fugde sunday. It was clean and there wasnt many kids there. When we were done withbour icecream we hung around for maybe 10 minutes and asked our server if we could wait around. There was no oriblem she said. Came here on a weekday and still it was kind of packed. My son is Autistic who has sensory issues with noises so automatically he had his hands over his ears as we waited to be seated. I was hoping it was some what not busy but of course understandable. The fun kid's menu items like the cotton candy drink and awesome build your own ice cream kept his attention away from the noise so that was a plus. I ordered a dish that had fried shrimp with buffalo sauce on it but received plain fried shrimp. I still ate it and was still pretty good so I couldn't complain. I will be surprised if this company is still around in a few years. It never fails every time I visit Friendly's and this location in particular the service is super slow and I see no rush in anyone to get the paying customers in and out of the restaurant. In turn many people are waiting for tables and some people are leaving very unhappy. My experience today was just slow service at 4pm on a Saturday. Our meal was fine and ice cream tasted fine. I just didn't want to waste away my Saturday evening at Friendly's. Next time a burger and fries from Wendy's will be my choice. read more

Place had about 8 people in the restaurant and when I asked to be seated they said they were busy and only had two servers. Saw about 5 employees standing around. Slow service, not clean at all, the napkins and silverware came with food on them. Sat for 40 minutes with empty drink cups and no food. One table next to us was left uncleaned for about 20 minutes and was used by other servers to drop dirty dishes from other tables that were being cleared. It's kid "friendly," so that makes it one of our options when we have the little ones. The food is run-of-the-mill, but always hot and consistent. The waitress we had at our most recent visit was cheery and efficient. Your youngsters can yell like banshees and no one blinks an eye (although we don't let our kids get away with it...) The flip side? We had to ask for utensils AFTER our food was delivered to the table. The floor was full of litter (it would help if someone on staff would periodically clean--there was more than one person standing around BS-ing). I have been a fan of Friendly's since I was a little kid and it never fails to please and I have visited this location a few times and it has done a remodel which actually left the place kind of cold. The menu is the same Friendly's with burgers, sandwiches, entrees etc. and pretty good food. The service is on par and seemed adequate and attentive. The big complaint I have with this place is that they jacked up their prices so bad, we paid over $50 for 2 adults and 2 little kids??? Thats more then a chain sit down finer dining experience than this. Friendly's has always been a step below fast food, place to go to get a burger and sit for a bit, not some fine dining restaurant with inventive entrees. I was shocked to pay this price for a meal that should of been like maybe $30. I mean at least at a chain sit down, I can order a beer or a cocktail. I am sorry but until they adjust their prices, I cannot justify paying these prices for a few burgers. Outrageous! read more

This was a childhood hotspot! Clown cones- whats up! Sadly, this place closed and is no longer in Michigan from what I understand. So when I planned to trip to the New England area I was informed there was a Friendlys there & they frequented it often! I got the traditional diner fare - we split mozzarella sticks, I ordered the chicken tenders & fries (YUM) and a Reese's Cup Sundae which was DEE LISH. The only downsides are that ice cream is not portable so that I could stock up back in Detroit and their Ranch was not that good. I will definitely go back on my next visit. read more

A utter atrocity of a facility can not believe they are able to serve food legally. Let's not begin on the horrendous service the waitstaff have no sense of urgency or life force. Waited 15 minutes just to sit and then had no silverware or napkins. The food tasted like it was cooked in months old grease in a backyard. When the silverware finally arrived from our repulsive waitress it was dirty and both sets of silverware were provided in one napkin. Do yourself a favor and never stop by here seriously if you want this experience go in I guarantee you'll get something close too it. Our waitress didn't even check on us for 20 minutes we could have just left without paying but decided to pay at the front desk with the frantic manager who looks like she runs through tornados instead of providing quality experiences. read more

Well I think I really should start with the fact that it took over 10 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us standing at the podium waiting to be seated (i would have to say there were at least 5 servers on). At least once we finally were sat our waitress came over immediately. After getting out drinks she came back to take our orders, the way she spoke it was almost as if she had the smallest vocabulary. "Sure" was her go to word after anything we said. I have to say, compared to the other servers she seemed to have the largest section. However, that is no excuse. It's kid friendly and the ice cream was good, that's why it gets 2 stars. In a nutshell the place is sticky and the food is questionable. The people on both sides of us were trashy and cursing at their kids the whole time, then a kid barfed and cleared the room. Dirty silverware, no offer for a refill as your cup sits empty for 20 mins, gotta ask yourself when you can flag someone down (in our case when the bill came). For $2.29 per soda you bet I want a refill! Almost $9 for an order of 12 waffle fries with a squirt of cheese on it. My son's kids meal came with 3 chicken fingers, 1 had what looked to be a bite missing out of it. Sauce looked like someone dipped in it as well. Very strange, he ate some fries and ice cream and we left. Don't think we'll be returning. read more

We ordered one of the sandwich options and had a silver hair in one half of the sandwich, and a black one in the other. We spoke to the manager about it (who had black and silver hair), and were told we still had to pay for the replacement since there was nothing wrong with that one. We had originally planned on walking out after finding the hairs, and believe the replacement sandwich should have been free. There is a guarantee in their menu that if you aren't satisfied, your meal is free. For a mere $6.99, they have lost a customer. read more

Sooo much better than the one in Framingham. We went in at noon on a Saturday and our service was excellent. Denise had our table and she was very attentive and fast. The service was very slow and our waitress, Sheila, was not "friendly" at all. We paid with a credit card and did not leave her a tip. When I checked my credit card statement the amount was $5.00 more than my receipt. I went back and spoke with the manager. He pulled all of the paper orders from that day and of course my slip was nowhere to be found. He gave me back my $5.00 but there was no apology for the theft. We here tonight and had Kelly 520542 as our server she was not a good server. We ordered two of the jolly ranchers drinks for our kids and they were upset they didn't get the crazy straws like before and the other kids got. We noticed at all of Kelly's tables none of the kids had them but every other table did. We ordered the crispy buffalo chicken wrap and was very unhappy with our dinner it was very small compared to what we had before. We waited at least half an hour after we were done eating for Kelly to come over and offer ice cream to us. She did come to the table once but never offered or asked if we need a refill. She brought out the wrong meal for our son he ordered the chicken on a stick. It came out as just chicken fingers and fries. It's the same thing I understand but not what he ordered . This restaurant is so expensive and the food and service was terrible. After ten minutes (no exaggeration) we finally had to seat ourselves Even though the restraint was practically empty. I visited this Friendly's for the first time today. I ordered some take out and it was cooked very promptly. I was at first concerned that it might not be because I could see that one of the cooks was talking on his cell phone while preparing food [really people... this cell phone thing has gotten way out of hand]. I was waited on by the very cute and personable Nathan who gets my vote for "best smile in Attleboro". And last but not least, my food was very tasty. We haven't been to a Friendlys in years. We had to go out one afternoon and there was a Friendlys nearby. We both wanted a milkshake and I wanted some food. So we decide to go. We walk in and get seated. Although there's only 2 other tables being occupied, it takes about 7 minutes before Our waitress comes over. She was very nice, so I can't say anything bad about her. The food on the other hand... I ordered a crispy chicken sandwich, it sounded so good and looked good on the menu (I know, never believe the pics on the menu) word to the wise, only dine here if your having ice cream, shakes, floats or the like. The sandwich was awful. I should have sent it back, but I didn't. My fault. The chicken was...lets just say microwaved and tasted like it was from a day ago. The bun was (again) microwaved. I was so disappointed. I knew I shouldn't have eaten it, but I was hungry, needless to say tho, I was sick the rest of the day. I will never go back here to eat, unless it's for a shake. read more

After delivering our ice cream the fire alarm went off and we were evacuated, once allowed to return no one even checked to see if we'd like new non melted ice creams. Then while waiting for the check the alarm went off again, this time we were allowed to remain, but we just wanted to get out of there. It wasn't terribly crowded in there but we still had to go on a waiting list to be seated. Another waitress came by and seated a family that just walked in, completely skipping the queue & agravating the people in line. Table service took forever, orders were wrong. we were never asked if we needed anything (refills etc).And the bill was incorrect. I know Friendly's is a blast from the past, but this group really phoned it in. very disappointing! This probably should have been one of the locations that shut.
