Totally disgusting behavior I was at Friendly's in East Meadow and a very elderly man (he was a veteran-wearing a WW II Navy hat) ordered French toast. The waitress said let me check if it's ok bc it was after 11, she came back and said yes and then the nasty chef/manager never made it for him, he sat there for 15 mins and when he asked about his meal the waitress said she's not doing it now bc it was too late. Five stars solely because of Justin! This was probably the worst Friendly's in the system - unpleasant staff, turtle-like service uneven quality. Then Levittown closed and Justin was transferred here. This young man is "over the top friendly" (no pun intended) and incredibly efficient. The take-out area runs great since he came to East Meadow and Justin makes a great ice cream sundae. Kudos to Justin. I only hope management recognizes what an asset he is to the company and how he has turned this location around. read more

Can I start off by saying, holy crap. That was the worst restaurant experience I've ever had. My expectations were low, but holy shit did they manage to make them worse. I placed an Uber rays order from here last night and I'm totally disgusted. I ordered chicken quesadillas, chicken fingers and ice cream. I would give this place zero stars if I could. Went today on a rainy Saturday afternoon. Place was not crowded. Took over an hour to get our food. The waitress blamed the cooks saying that they were just very slow, but then the manager said that the reason was because they had a lot of carry out orders. Now, the waitress had to come back to us a few times because she kept forgetting stuff so it wouldn't shock me if she just simply forgot about our table. She kept skipping us and going to serve the people seated behind us. At one point she was walking by and stopped in her tracks by us as if she realized she had completely forgotten about our table so this very well could've had something to do with the service today. However, the manager giving us her excuse makes me think that the entire restaurant just isn't run very well at all. Out of all the Friendly's locations in Long Island, this one is by far the absolute best. I come fairly often with my grandfather for our night out together and he always gets the chicken soup which he has never had any other way than piping hot and delicious he says. He usually gets the New England Fish and Chips or a burger and always enjoys what he orders. I usually order the Honey BBQ Chicken Melt and order the fries and the bacon cremated. I love burnt and crispy bacon and fries. MMMMM. This is the only location who ever burns my bacon for me or even serves hot fries for that matter. The servers, although young, are quite attentive and friendly. The server we had last time, I believe it was Nicolette was extremely friendly and took genuinely good care of grandpa and I. We also ordered small sundaes, grandpa with strawberry ice cream with strawberry sauce and myself with Nuts Over Caramel and Butter Crunch with fudge. I love the Nuts Over Caramel but the Butter Crunch was a bit to crunchy for me (I'm not trying to be funny here). I almost cracked a tooth on the crunch.
