First time there. Food is pretty good. Service is a bit scrambled. Staff is nice and friendly though...our food was about 30 minutes late. Something is a bit off, maybe it is management. We "might" go back but nothing to write home about...Perkins Restaurant is always on point and we will probably go back there. On Vacation from New York and never ate at Friendly's until today! The food was awesomeness!

Our experience was very good. The food came out quickly and fresh. The servers and the hostess were very friendly. When our baby daughter spilled her drink one of the employees quickly ran over to clean up the spill. They only shortcomings were that there were no utensils on the table and the drinks could have been refreshed a bit sooner. read more

Good food. Horrible service. No one came to fill up our coffee, took a long time for any service. Family threw up next to us and left, the staff moved the throw up closer to us and did not clean it up during breakfast. Many people leaving before ordering because it took so long to be served and smelled disgusting. Very unorganized management. read more

I was not pleased with it at all. It was pretty dead in there yet our meal took a very long time to come out. The lettuce on my burger looked like it was going bad. Turning brown and mushy, and they put the most pathetic slice of tomato on my burger.. wasn't even a whole slice. The ice cream is fine, but the waitresses get everything wrong. This is my second time coming here, this time was not great. First, they put chocolate in my ice cream when I say NO chocolate. They could have been sued because I am allergic to chocolate. Then, they got someone else's receipt mixed with my receipt. Lastly, they really need to clean up everything. If I could give zero stars I would. Went there today for lunch. I arrived with my wife and two kids. We explained that we would be a party of 10, but the rest of our party was not there yet. They sat the four of us down. We strapped in our one year old into the high chair. Set up our 3 year old with crayons to color, took coats off and settled in. Not easy with a one year old and a three year old. The manager then came over and told us we had to leave our table because they were giving it to another group and that we would have to wait out front. My wife and I explained to her that they had already sat us and we had already gone through the trouble of settling in our baby in the high chair and our toddler. The manager said that it was store policy that if the rest of our party was not there yet then we could not be seated. I reminded her that we had already explained to her before we were seated that the rest of our party was not there yet and they had sat us anyway. And I also reminded her that we had just set up a baby and a toddler which is not easy to do.At that point she very rudely said that the person that sat us didn't know the policy, but the manager was there with this person when I explained this before we were sat. They said we had to leave the table and they gave it to other people. We would have left, but didn't want to confuse our out of town family members that were meeting us there. This place clearly does not care about customers, especially customers with small children. The actions of the people at this restaurant were outrageous, heartless, and despicable. We will never go there again ever, and will probably not ever go to any other friendlys again ever either. They also screwed up the order too, but that is almost besides the point after the other issues. read more

Hi I usually don't do reviews but I feel like I'd be doing a huge disservice to people if I didn't tell my experience! Me and my family came to the Poconos 2 weeks ago and decide to stop here for lunch! Service was decent and so was the food! I paid my bill and tip using my credit card! After checking my credit card the next day I found out that my tip was change to a larger amount! I called and spoke to the store owner and was told I would get the $3 over charge that someone decided to charge my card( 3 dollars is not a big deal but the fact that someone can change your whole bill is scary, who knows how many other times this happened and no one noticed!!!!)nevertheless 2 weeks later still haven't received my credit and this has me NEVER wanting to eat at Friendly's or use my card period when going out to eat!!!!! So be PLEASE people be aware when using credit cards here!!!!!! read more

Food was ok. Service was slow. My coffee cup was dirty, and instead of simply apologizing that it was dirty, the manager and server tried to explain-- basically saying it was a build up of coffee grounds. I don't care what it was, something wasn't properly cleaned if a build up of coffee grounds is on the side of my coffee cup. Yuck. An apology would have been sufficient. read more

I was to your establishment on Sunday, All I have to say is that your staff is not very friendly, First of all, I had my grandchild with me, and a friend, my Little one was choking, on tenders, and No One even came over to see if she was ok, I was frantic, thank god someone that was with me took the matter in his hands, your staff just walked away, if you saw a child , small child choking, would you just walk on by, not even come over to see if she was ok, she could have choked to death in your establishment, very rude, uncaring, and I will never take myself or anyone to your Friendlys again, now I know people dont like to get involved, but a child was Choking, and no one from Your staff came to see if she was still alive? very poor, and will not be going to a Friendlys again, I have been there countless times in East Stroudsburg, but Now I will NEVER go into one, was a Nightmare! read more

This was my first time at this Friendly's and my last time. Went with my wife for breakfast. Her french toast was not cooked on one side. Totally raw egg and she ate a few bites before realizing the side placing the plate was raw. Our waitress was very sorry and replaced the breakfast quickly. The troubling thing is that I sent a complaint to Friendly's who in turn contacted the owner. The owner called us and told us that what we were saying was impossible. Another words we were telling a lie. We told her to ask the waitress and then she started making excuses like it is a young crew there. There are many other better choices in the area. read more

Horrible service! There was no wait, we asked for a booth, hostess asked if we would sit at a table, we said ok. The manager made a comment to the hostess about our request for a booth and she pointed to a booth. We did not want the hostess to get in trouble so we said the table was ok. We waited 15 minutes and no one came and even asked for our drink order. I asked the hostess as she went by if someone would be coming by to take our order, she went in the back and came back and told us "she will be right with us." Waited another 8 minutes and now the booth that we would have had ordered. The children (8,3 and 20 months) were getting loud because they were hungry. we got up to leave and the booth was now receiving their drinks and we still had not even seen a wait staff. When I spoke to the manager I told her that the service was horrible! Half an hour and no one even asked how we were or what we wanted to drink. Not even an apology! The Friendly's in my NJ hometown closed, as did most of them in my area. I was not surprised because the food and service was always horrible. So, I was hesitant to try it while traveling today. I was so pleasantly surprised! The menu is the same greasy fare, but it was prepared nicely and served hot. The restaurant was clean, had plenty of seating, and was well attended. Best of all, the service was excellent--from the welcoming hostess to the attentive server. This is how Friendly's was always meant to be! read more

I was very pleased with the food and especially the service. We were here on Friday night and the place was packed. But our server was patient with us when we took extra time looking at the menu. She kept us informed when the food would be arriving and overall very attentive to our needs. This is our first time at Friendly's.
