What a great old diner that has a great vibe. Food was good (nothing fancy or over the top) just…read moregood tasting food at a good price. Clientele was primarily older (retired) but still saw younger couples as well. Our waitress was nothing fancy but she got the job done and checked in on us a couple of times. I love finding old "hole in the wall" places and this is one we will hit again when we drive by. Not much in the gluten free realm, so keep that in mind. We will be back. Serve a small menu of breakfast all day...a true dinner. Was going to get a slice of pie for dessert until I asked if it was homemade...our waitress said they weren't so I passed. If in the area, it is worth a stop!

We just had a very peculiar experience at this restaurant. First timers & we were excited to…read moreexperience good home cooked food. The tip from the previous diners was on the table & when the waitress came over I jokingly said 'I almost took your tip!' It was a joke & she 'not funny' as she walked by. It was a joke & when she came back to take our order she said 'we work hard for our money.' I said 'I work hard for my money too.' She then said 'I am only here to take your order.' My husband said 'it was just a joke.' Then the waitress said ' I will get someone else to wait on you.' At that, we left. Not sure what was going on with this waitress, but we were not treated right at all!!!! Too bad....maybe she was just having a bad day but we won't be back. We were not there long enough, but what we experienced was not good.

Soooooooooo good, I'm forced to push this review to the front of the line of eight million other…read more"pending" reviews to let you know that this place is NOT TO BE MISSED!! As much as I LOVE my hometown, "Field of Springs" Speakeasy Ramen (check it out!!) this new-ish location in Troy is OFF THE CHARTS good!! This was a very last minute decision to meet friends over in Troy, so I broke my STRICT rule and didn't check the EXTENSIVE menu ahead of time. They offer a few of the "best of" from Speakeasy Ramen, but TONS of different, DELICIOUS choices!! We shared a crab rangoon app and sushi arancini balls that were just AMAZING. One friend got the ramen flight (great idea for sampling, btw!!) and the other friend orders a philly cheese steak roll, and I got the hakodate ramen, which was WONDERFUL!! We didn't drink, but their cocktail list looks great as well!! I know I say it every time I "discover" a great new place, but I TRULY wanted one of EVERYTHING on their menu!! Beautiful decor, GREAT food, fair pricing and friendly service, I'm HOOKED!! What a PERFECT addition to downtown Troy's culinary "scene!!" Check 'em out!!

Recently open for lunch in addition to dinner - I cannot recommend more highly pairing your beverage and/or entree with the ahi tuna wonton nachos. Order it for yourself or to share. The ramen here is delicious. No fret if you don't care for ramen - there are many other options and something for anyone. The secret winner though are the cocktails. Very unique and delightfully balanced are perfect on their own but really paired with the delicious food menu.

It's been some time since we last came here and we decided to try it again. They have really kicked…read moreup their game! It's certainly worthy. Now given that, it's not your Taco Bell. Expect to pay more when the food is of this high quality and this well prepared! We started with the Caprese salad. Delicious! Burrata cheese, greens, prosciutto ham and a wonderful basaltic dressing. A+ on this! Then we both had the Maryland crab cakes. Lump crab cakes on asparagus. Just delicious, easily the best crab cakes I've had anywhere in Ohio, maybe the best I've ever had! A+ again! Service was fast and friendly! The setting is on the Great Miami River with a wonderful overlook! Everything was perfect! As Arnold said, 'I'll be back!'

Finally made time to pop in for dinner--unfortunately it wasn't on Lobster Roll or Cluster Crab…read morenight (guess we will just have to return at least two more times lol). The dinning room is nice, low light and low music playing. It seemed to get a little smokey in there but it wasn't bothersome. Our server was so lovely! And another lady that was floating around checking on tables was very sweet and fun! We really struggled with our ordering and "locking it in"...therefore we ended up ordering what felt like half the menu. For appetizers, we got calamari and the baked crab dip. The calamari was pretty light and delicious. The crab dip was heavy and but had a great flavor. I wasn't a huge fan of the chips but it was great with the bread that came to our table. The bread basket came out steaming and the butter was amazing we had to ask for extra. The butter is whipped and has green onions in it. Hubby and daughter each got clam chowder--it was different from what they are used to (and they are both clam chowder connoisseurs) but they still thought it was very good--just thinner and a lot more meaty ingredients. Daughter loved the halibut with risotto. Hubby really enjoyed the boathouse burger--bacon jam was new for him but he loved it. Though the burger was messy--he definitely cleaned the plate. My seafood platter was pretty good, I ate the scallops and coconut shrimp first. Then came our next dilemma...dessert!! So we each got one! Crème Brûlée, Highlander Grogg Chocolate Cake and Chocolate Chip Cookie Skillet. Everything was a hit!!
