I found this place on Yelp, while staying in LaPlace. When I walked it, it seems diner-ish. There was a few tables the sit at. A couple older couples were there. I noticed Friday was fish Friday's. I got a plate to go. When I got home and opened my plate. I found 4 pieces of fish on a bed of French fries, with potato salad and toast. I did notice the toast was already prepared when it was plated. It was hard by the time I got to it. The potato salad was extremely bland. The fries were really good. The fish was THE BOMB!! There was enough for brunch and linner!

Muffuletta sandwich Seafood gumbo Loved the sandwich. We think it was their famous Cuban sandwich and they add olive tapenade . It was fabulous Seafood gumbo had great flavor. It only has some tiny shrimp with rice We enjoyed it The man working there was super nice. We got a delicious cheesecake slice to go We flew in from San Francisco and drove right here. It's about 30 minutes from the airport

Coming back from New Orleans my group stopped for gas in La Place. We were hungry and asked locals for a good place to eat. What we were recommended was Frisco Deli. At first glance it doesn't seem much of a resturant and looks more like old mom and pop place, but when I placed my order I was amazed. The BBQ sandwich was one of the best sandwiches I had on my New Orleans trip. The wait time wasnt much and the food came to the table quick. If traveling to or from New Orleans I would recommend a stop at this restaurant for a bite to eat.

My favorite spot in La Place. Good service, good food, and affordable prices. The red bean Monday special is solid. Keep it up Friscos!

I was not disappointed. The moment we pulled into the parking lot we were treated with vintage vw bugs. A very good omen. The menu is vast and it all sounded so wonderful. As we stood there pondering our choices I couldn't help but notice the cleanliness and the decide. But what instantly drew my attention was the food being handed out. No paper wrap. No styrofoam here. Real plates and real silverware. . But the mountain of mouth watering piping hot onion rings called my attention. The old hippy he decided on the lot o burger with fries. And I had the veal tenderloin with those onion rings. Of course we had to have two frosty mugs of the namesake. Frostop RootBeer. Now I am a patient person and I will wait for fresh hot food to be served. So I didn't notice the amount of time it took. But any wait at all would be well worth it. The food was delicious and took me back to my misspent youth. People I am telling you if you are looking for quality and quantity. This is the place for you. The cost was reasonable. The owners are friendly and patient. But the real reason to make the trip is the food. They are the leader in every category: cleanliness, ambience, quality, taste, customer service, and quirkiness. This place has been standing along time. I hope they stay around a whole lot longer. We will return.

It brought me back to when I was a kid when I tasted that nostalgic root beer. The onion rings were on point and so was the club. The kids did not leave a bite of their hamburgers, so it is safe to say they liked it and it was big enough for three teenage kids.

However, I know wait times can be out the door so plan accordingly. We were dropped off by Uber, but in terms of parking, it's mainly street parking. Overall, the shop is pretty small. They have a handful of tables outside and more seating inside but it's not huge -- hence the longer lines. It's also quite eclectic with serving on plastic McDonald's plates and the music that was playing. We ordered: The ham sandwich, wedge salad, and a delicious pickle cocktail The ham sandwich had excellent flavor! I wish it had a but more ham on it, but overall the flavor was 10/10! The wedge salad had too much salad dressing. I LOVE blue cheese and blue cheese salad dressing but the lettuce to dressing ratio was off. Could have used less as I felt so much went to waste. The thick cut bacon on the salad was the exact salty touch it needed and the fresh dill was such a fresh touch. The pickle cocktail was delicious! I wish I would have ordered another one! It was slightly sweet, but also salty... SO good! Overall, I would highly recommend Turkey and the Wolf and totally stop by again if I were visiting New Orleans in the future.
