Perfect Mexican food for after skiing. I had the carnitas plate. My wife ordered the taco salad with chicken. And it was real grilled chicken, not the cheap shredded stuff you find a lot. The place was packed, great vibe, salsa music. Our waiter was from Peru, he was an excellent waiter and also tried helping me teach my son Spanish! Great food, great vibe, great service. The manager that seems like he's 15 years old is horrible. I watched him be rude to people and I don't support business owners or managers that act like a POS. Food is just ok. And aside from that, they blast the music so loud that it distracts you from the horrible service. read more

Chile rellenos were quite good. Hair discovered in a chicken salad - waiter took plate away, but he didn't offer to replace the salad and charged us for it. I guess we should have asked to have the salad removed from the bill, but then again we shouldn't have to ask. Hey you skiers, boarders and everyone who might be visiting Silverthorne, CO. I recently was taken to this great restaurant when I was there on a working "vacation". I was very impressed by the quality of their food. I ordered horchata (rice water with cinnamon) and shredded beef burrito. First I received my drink and right away I was impressed with the stronger than usual cinnamon flavor; it was very good. Then when I began to eat my burrito; I was also thrilled with it's great taste. So make sure to ski on over to get some great authentic Mexican food! read more

Any Mexican restaurant that serves lengua tacos is a win in my book. Unfortunately, the house margs that we ordered were 2 of the worst margaritas we've ever had. At $10 a pop, they should not taste like watered down cheap margarita mix. We told the wait staff, they took them away and brought us the beers we asked for. When we got the check, they still charged us for the margs. $70 damn dollars for 2 margs, 2 plates of food and 2 upset stomachs. Chose this place off of a 4.5 star rating. So the experience begins...we walk in and two lady's look at us who are carrying plates into the kitchen, neither greet us. The music is extremely loud and fights over the extremely loud T.V. Does not make for a relaxing meal. My server doesn't seem to care about me. This is not a fast food restaurant, it took around 20 minutes to get our food after ordering, this is to be expected for made to order food. The service: While friendly and helpful, was slow to say the least. I wouldn't have minded if it was busy, but sadly it wasn't. Can't figure out these reviews. We were looking for a quick lunch in Silverthorne on our way to Kremmling. Very long wait for food and our waiter should have written down our orders. My daughter ordered nachos with just cheese and beans and they came out fully loaded with sour cream, jalapeños, etc. I have a dairy allergy and ordered a burrito without cheese and it came out dripping with cheese. Waiting for them to re-make our food made us late for the check-in time for our vacation. And the food was mediocre. I've lived in Summit County for about 6 years, and have eaten just about everywhere across Breckenridge, Silverthorne, Dillon and Frisco. Ironically, I passed by Fritangas quite a few times due to the fact that most Mexican food in the county is very similar and very average. To my surprise, after ordering takeout here, I returned for dinner 3x in the same week to enjoy both the friendly service as well as the delicious entrees and homemade salsa. My girlfriend ordered their steak street tacos the first time which were amazing (and cheap) and then returned for the Carne Asada entree every night we ate there. I would highly recommend trying Fritangas if you're passing through, or if you're a local looking to expand your "go-to) restaurants in the county- you will not be disappointed. Next time I'm back I am going to try their breakfast! 10/10 read more
