We were leaving SCP late and wanted to grab tacos on our way home but saw this place in the corner screaming at us to go in. Had been craving a Philly cheese steak so we said letsgooooo. Restaurant was a small local deli/market with a few tables inside and some tables outside. Parking not too bad, not a place with a lot of people traffic. We got 3 items, the traditional Philly cheese steak sandwich, pastrami fries and the potato salad. The sandwich really hit the spot with its ooey gooey goodness (definitely could have been filled fatter for the price imo). Good cheese pull and very tasty. Pastrami fries were just okay for me. Maybe if it was chopped up a lil more would make it easier to eat. Fries were mid and not much else going on besides the cheese, onions and pastrami. I really liked the potato salad. It was wonderfully creamy with the right amount of tart. We also got some of their cherry sauce which was excellent for a spice addition. read more

The food here is good. Definitely a great taste of Philly. This is the only place I've seen use non-mushy bread. If you're from Philly... you know lol. Usually I order delivery and today I decided to order in. The girl working the front had a nasty attitude. I got pickles and wanted a bag to put them in. The packaging they put it in has a whole in the top because it's for drinks. All good, but I didn't want it to spill. I bought two extra items and she was rolling her eyes at me for wanting a bag. And her response when I asked nicely, "can I have a bag?" was "is it to go?" And I said, "yes" to which she responded "so you want two bags."Then threw the bag behind the counter, walks away and leaves it there for me to reach for it. Then, she gives me my food. And leaves it AGAIN. And I ask her, "do you guys have some ketchup?" And she rolls her eyes again. I don't understand what I did for her to be THAT angry. Her coworker had to apologize to me for her rudeness. Regardless I would've needed 2 bags because all of my items wouldn't have fit. Please work on your customer service. Her attitude is disgusting. This place has become a family favorite to say the least. Our dog boards around the corner so we always make an excuse to swing by. I've usually done the traditional Philly cheesesteak but this time my daughter convinced me to do the chicken and wow. Now I'm hooked. The food is exceptional and the quality and value never disappoint. The owner and employees are the friendliest and remember us every time we come by we are begging them to open one closer to our house. Save room for dessert because they have amazing cheesecake and wow this Italian ice my kids call "cherry kinetic sand" it's like the most interesting texture not an icee not a snow cone. Jesus, Mary and Joseph this place blew my socks off!!! I ordered the People's Favorite and oh my word... I'm still salivating over my sammy. It's turkey pastrami so it's not as fatty or greasy but the flavor IS THERE. Shout out to the star of the show - the bread. So soft and fresh and moist and good and tasty. This sandwich made sweet, sweet love to my taste buds. This place is on my way home from work so I can't wait to come back and order a Philly. Prices are decent, too, in this shitshow economy. I was craving philly cheesesteak for the past few days so I decided to come here as it was one of the few spots open past 8pm. A few things threw me off. Overpriced A full size cheesesteak was $17 ($16.69). Didn't matter at the time since I was starving but I did have higher hopes for it to be a bit better since it was the most expensive cheesesteak in the neighborhood. Flavor The cheesesteak was honestly mid. I've had many more cheesesteaks with more flavor. Idk, I'm never coming back for a cheesesteak. Maybe their hoagies are better. Sides 1 side is free and each additional side is $0.75 For example, a side of ranch, side of pickles, side of peppers, side of sauce, etc. So if I wanted to get a side of peppers, I'd have to pay extra for sauce. I asked the girl for a side of peppers and the smallest container came with only two small slices of peppers. Not even a full pepper. Didn't think it was worth it so I asked the girl at front, "what's the spiciest pepper here?" And she had no idea so she had to ask the cook. He points at a red container and she puts that in my bag. I couldn't exactly see the contents of the red container until I got home. She then proceeds to tell me that each additional side container is $0.75 extra. I said no I won't get any additional sides then. I go home and check to see that she put a salsa in my bag when I clearly asked her for spicy peppers. The salsa wasn't even spicy either. I should've just stuck with the yellow peppers. Also, they're so cheap to charge extra for the smallest slices of peppers. Giving this place even a two stars because the portions were good at least. I've been coming here for the past 3 years to satisfy my occasional Philly cheesesteak cravings and I never had an issue with this place until I ordered French fries for the first time to go with my usual sandwich order. Upon going in, the lady working the register at the time had an unwelcoming vibe with her lack of greeting, short responses, and robotic tone of voice (maybe she was just in a shitty mood, who knows‍) but I still tipped her anyway for doing the bare minimum of just taking my to-go order. But nevermind that, that's not the main reason why I decided to give a 2-star review of this place. It's 2023 and you would think restaurants would know by now not to put scorching hot food directly in contact with styrofoam as it is harmful, toxic, and carcinogenic. But nope, they put the French fries which came straight out of the deep fryer into a styrofoam to-go container. The container was closed in the bag when I received it so I assumed and hoped they lined the container with parchment paper but they did not. When I got home, I saw holes on the bottom of the styrofoam container as well as burns on the underside of the lid due to the extremely hot temperature of the French fries. The sandwich was good so I still ate that but I threw all the fries away after seeing what it did to the styrofoam. So not only did I tip a worker who didn't deserve it, but I tipped someone who, unknowingly or not, tried to give me cancer. So after having gone thru this experience with them today, I won't be coming back again since they don't seem to care about food and health safety measures. Time to find another spot to get my Philly cheesesteak fix. read more

Since I've been working from home, sometimes I just want to get out and get lunch. I saw there was no line at this place, went ahead and ordered take out. They are very busy, lots of pick up orders, delivery services that call in so I had to wait about 15 min until my sandwich was ready. If you are looking for an amazing Philly Cheesesteak then look no further! I started working in the area back in 2021, I've tried almost all of the eateries in the area. This is my Favorite place to eat during the week, when I walk in my order is always ready (30 min lunch breaks...) and I have never received anything short of perfect customer service. The sandwich always hits the spot and never leaves me unsatisfied. I get the Full chicken Philly with no peppers and on Fridays I also grab a Pepperoni pizza to share with a friend at work. I love walking in and seeing two cooks cranking out cheesesteaks and the girls working really hard filling large corporate orders. While packaging upwards of 20-30 sandwiches for a single order they always notice and greet me with a big smile and a hello with my order in hand. A few tips I would offer to anyone dinning here would be to order ahead either over the phone or online. I have never waited beyond the time they told me it would be ready. I lived in Philadelphia, and visit Philadelphia once a year. I have NEVER in my life ever seen an overly seasoned steak in a "traditional" Philly cheesesteak. The wrap of my sandwich had red stains from the seasoning (my cheesesteak did not have any bell peppers), and I've never seen that in my 25+ years of eating these. This isn't your typical mall food court philly cheese steak joint, it's so much better than that. Not even an exaggeration, this is probably the best philly cheese steak I have ever had in Southern California. Ask for the pickled jalapeños, they go really well with the sandwich! Philly uses cheese whiz... not mozzarella cheese especially on fries and our Philly chicken cheesesteaks isn't pulled chicken.
