He had it for nearly 2 hours before calling me to tell me he couldn't do anything to adjust the brakes unless he tore the whole thing open, which would've cost me $1400. I told him I'd look elsewhere. They held onto my car for nearly another hour to just put the tire back on! When I got there, they said they cleaned the drums and pads and everything, which I didn't ask them to, and then he charged me for that work. Dude's shop is a scam. I took it elsewhere and they took 25 min, didn't have to take anything off the car, and it works like a charm now.

I already knew the overall condition of my car and did not authorize this.They never informed me they were going to do a full-car overview.I'm sure with the years of experience in the automotive industry they could have just been upfront and told me what it would take to start a diagnostic on a transmission instead of generating revenue on a full vehicle inspection thats already on Carfax . They simply told me they would check the transmission. Instead, they handed me a list of unrelated repairs and charged me for a full inspection I never asked for. If you want a shop that listens to your requests and communicates honestly about charges, look elsewhere.

CAVEAT EMPTOR I have a regular mechanic that could not…read morerepair my car's 'possessed' horn, due to the attachment to the airbag. I let my guard down, didn't do my due diligence, and went to Accurate Automotive. I had just purchased this 'as is' used vehicle. The problem erupted (the horn just started blowing) as I was leaving the dealership. The dealership tried to fix by installing a new clock spring twice. This worked for over a week. At that point, I could not go back to the dealership. Again, my mechanic was honest and stated that they could not handle this repair. Now...Accurate Auto told me they were certain it was the clock spring again. (red flag) Okay, I went w this. I've been w my mechanic for so long that I was estranged from places like Accurate Auto. 2 days to receive part - 3 days in shop so far. No loaner. A $400+ part that they charged my $1000 for. $600+ labor. This was now Friday and they don't work on weekends. Monday, 6 days w/o a car and no loaner. This did not fix the problem but they still forced me to pay because 'they cannot return an installed electrical part'. Now, they wanted $3400+ for a new airbag. I asked to talk to the owner...who I was told left for vacation that morning . Okay, who's 2nd in command? The svc mgr will not be back until Friday. My svc rep, Robert, was the ONLY person I could talk to. As you can imagine, I was quite upset. Yes, I spoke (not yelled) the f-bomb a few times. The owner did get contact me. I explained my frustration incl about Robert denying me speaking w the owner, Alex. The owner's response...'and yet, here I am!'. He said that when a customer cusses, they give them the car back. I said, 'that's all I want, but Robert said I now had to pay the $5k+ to get it back ! This was a miscommunication and I got my car back for a 'mere' $1600+ for NOTHING. The horn was still possessed. I asked for and did get back the original, new, and still shiny clock spring they removed. Now they had my car 7 DAYS. I then took my car to Alternative Auto Care @ 12111 N Grant St, Thornton. The owner. Dale Baca assured me they could fix my car for a few hundred $'s. Indeed, they kept my car 1-1/2 days and the fix cost me $500. The problem was electrical short(s) between the clock spring and air bag. Loaner car offered. Alternative also told me that the airbag had been previously replaced due to a recall. I fully recommend Alternative Auto Care. If you choose to take your vehicle to Accu Auto after reading about my experience, then you cannot complain about what they do to you. Codes showed the problem had been there for hours - they never fixed it. This should have been a straightforward repair. When I asked what happened, staff were dismissive. Aliyah claimed my CV axles were causing a rough idle and suggested replacing them. That has nothing to do with a vacuum leak. I asked if they'd performed a smoke test. She said no because of a tear in the intake hose. But you have to seal the intake to run a smoke test - the tear would need to be fixed first for any diagnostics to work. Either they didn't do the work or they're making excuses. I paid for a simple fix I didn't get. After years of loyal business, I expected better. This isn't the shop I thought I knew. Feels like they took advantage of that trust.
