Stopped in around 2:00 today and they had a great selection of donuts. We were driving home from Joshua tree and found this place through yelp. Can I just say these were some of the fluffiest, most tender donuts I've ever had! The man who helped us was incredibly nice and made great recommendations. The best one was the strawberry cream cheese croissant! We all fought over it in the car and I wish we just went back in and bought the rest. After a great lunch I stopped @ Frosty's for my Grandson's glazed doughnut @ a dozen doughnut holes. I even cheated -- please don't tell my Bride & got a very large twist doughnut with nuts on it . My doughnut was fresh, covered it a very thick tasty chocolate & the entire treat was covered with nuts. One of the best doughnuts I have had. The business is very clean -- including restroom. The Staff was friendly. We talked sports while he filled my order. Only bad thing was is that he is a Patriots fan -- that is ok -- Green Bay beat them in Super Bowl. Once I picked my Grandson up from school he was given his goodies. He devoured the fresh & plentiful doughnuts. We will be back -- as long as my Bride doesn't find out about my doughnut. I rarely eat donuts but I had a craving and decided to try this place. I've been out here for 3 1/2 years and hadn't tried any donuts out here. I had heard good things so I decided to try them out for myself. MAN ... They are soooooo good! My only disappointment was that they had sold out of a lot of items. (Which I'm sure now it's because they are so good everyone buys them up early) I went just before 11am so I will make sure to go earlier next time. I got a chocolate custard and a maple bacon bar. Honestly, probably the best maple bacon I've ever had! Both were delicious and very fresh. They gentleman behind the counter was very friendly. I will definitely be visiting again. It's sooo disappointing when you raise your expectations (never wise I know) due to sooo many positive Yelp reviews ....to only encounter less than average donuts. BUMMER of the WORSE kind!!! :/ Apple fritters are always my favorite to go donut, as it normally serves as an indicator for what is to come. In this case it set the gauge for what was not to come and that was less than great donuts. Apple fritter: Super greasy, completely over fried to the point it was crusty opposed to crispy on the outside & moist in the inside. (refer to pic's) The biggest disappointment was the fact it hardly contained any apple filling whatsoever, (refer to pic's) hence was very dry inside. :( Cinnamon roll: The icing was so sweet it easily requires some sort of drink (coffee or juice) to balance out the high sugary taste. My family has been going to Frosty's forever, we stop by every chance we get. The place is nice, not crowded and always decorated for the season. The guy who runs the place knows his locals and treats them like family. The donuts are great, always made fresh before the sun is up and always sold out before it goes down. The place is chill, has good parking, and plenty to choose from. I'm pretty sure the maple bar with bacon is my brother's favorite, I'm a simple glazed kinda guy. The price is great, you get a mixed dozen for 11 bucks. If you're feeling a bit more adventurous the fritters are great, they have huge chunks of baked apple in them and the perfect crunch, I'd be lying if I said I didn't eat them for breakfast too often. Frosty's is a local tradition and I really hope to see you there soon. read more

Wish I could put negative stars but unfortunately that is not an option in this application. As soon I walked into the building I was treated rudely as if I was bothering the gentlemen working the front counter just by walking in because instead of making donuts he was watching a movie. The selection was extremely minimal and when I asked if he had other donuts or could make more he looked at me if I were the one being rude like I was not in there to pay for a service he was supposed to offer. I am a self-proclaimed Donut Connoisseur. I know a good donut when I have one. This is a good donut. Fresh, fluffy, flavor perfection. Bravo, Frosty's! Also, a note to RVs & trailers - it's very easy to get off and back on the freeway, and there is a large, open parking lot, or street parking. I don't know about their coffee, we stopped at Starbucks up the street - big mistake. Even if their coffee is a regular drip, it's GOT to be better than stopping at Starbucks. This donut shop is dirty and probably crawling with covid. We are in a pandemic and they didn't have any hand sanitizer, soap in their bathroom, or any paper towels to dry your hands. The employees were not wearing masks or gloves. Their air conditioning was broken and their restroom was filthy. I simply can't review the quality of their donut because we ended up throwing away the donuts we bought after we got a look at their bathroom and back area. Scary stuff! read more

If I'm out this way again, I'd be tempted to stop in for one of the oversized twists or apple fritters. For sprinkles fans, frosted fried rings of dough and cake topped with colorful non-pareils are a fun option as are traditional rainbow sprinkles. Drive straight past the line of tour busses outside Dunkin Donuts at Barstow Station and get your fix at Frosty's. Maybe you will check out the original Del Taco as long as you are in Barstow, because it's fascinating to see a fast food place with over 300 Yelp reviews in a small town. I feel like I have to suggest some corrections to this business listing because that's what I do: 1. Frosty's Donuts, not "Frosty Donuts." It's just basic literacy. 2. I'm fairly certain you can pay with credit, so don't worry if you aren't carrying cash. 3. As for business hours, I stopped by just after 2pm on Sunday and the store was open. I'm very disappointed in this donut shop. I personally do not eat donuts but my 4 kids go crazy over them. The part that bothers me is I pay about 9 dollars for six donuts and the one worker there just can not figure out how to put these things in a box without removing all or at least half the icing. Anyone that has kids knows this is actually the most important part. I usually try to call and of course you can never get them to pick up the phone. This was the fourth time from the same worker so I decided to go back. Not only are they not worried about a bad yelp review but he didn't even care that the donuts got damage from him placing them in the box. Because of all the great Yelp reviews, I decided to detour to this place on our way back from a road trip and I'm not even a donut person! Best decision ever. We went mid day and they still had a nice selection. They even had a jalapeño ham and cheese croissant that I quickly snagged, the guy was even surprised they had one left that late in the day since they usually sell out fast.
