Don't let the "Early American Condemned" exterior fool you, when you walk inside, you will find the interior decorated in a more modern, "Early Seventies Condemned". However, the Cinnamon Roll I had was terrific! Don't mean to sound snobby about Cinnamon Rolls but, it had a great combination of mild, crunchy outside and soft, fresh baked inside. The right textures for a Cinnamon Roll. As for the flavor, it was just right. The entire staff was most helpful. His name is Cy?, Sigh?, Ci? Friendly enough without over doing it. I worked here as a high schooler and was very close to the employees and management. Judging by the pictures, I can see that they are the same family that's been running the place for almost 15 years. I guarantee that this family knows how to make great donuts and they will always continue to. Having worked there for several years myself as a cashier and assistant baker, I can attest that these donuts are best had between the hours of 4:30am-7am. They are at their freshest and hottest. If you go at a late time when they have little selection, please don't give them a hard time. There's a set "baking" schedule that they do no delegate from. Frosty's Donuts itself has been in Barstow since the around the 70s and has been under its current management for about 15 years. You can talk to the workers and regulars if you want an in-depth history. Support this historic business and try their delicious donuts. I personally recommend the apple fritters and old fashion donuts. The coffee is also really good, comprised of a blend of 3 different coffee beans (and also cheaper than Starbucks). We got off on the needles exit on our way home from vegas to go to Starbucks. I looked up Dunkin Donuts to see their reviews and saw we were only a block away from this donut shop. I'm glad we came here because the donuts were delicious! Way better than Dunkin. We usually stop at this exit for coffee or McDonald's on our way to or from vegas. I LOVE THIS PLACE! I've become a semi-regular and the guys always seem to remember that I like Boston cream doughnuts.
