Love that they are avocado oil based ones, and meats are nitrate-free. Bread is gluten-free. Husband got a cold coffee shake that he really liked as well. It's not inexpensive, but worth it for the quality ingredients. Service did take awhile, but the Gal was super friendly. If you're in a hurry, I would recommend ordering in advance.

A group of friends and I came to Frozy because we were craving for some frozen yogurt, but to our surprise they also had a vast verity of smoothies and bubble teas. So like every other sane person I ordered a bubble tea, I wanted to go for something different than what i usually get at other places so i ask the young lady who worked there what she recommends, and she politely recommend the lychee. I ordered it and the service was quick and the bubble tea turned out AMAZING!!! It was unlike any other bubble tea in durham, the tapioca was chewy and it was flavored to perfection. It was so good i ordered a second one to take home. My experience at Frozy was great! And from what i heard from my friends, they felt the same way. I came back multiple times and tried different things and they all ended in me being a happy camper. I would highly recommend to anyone that wants to be happy. read more

Have just tried their new smoothie, something called mow ba lan, i think, they said they got the inspiration from Egyptian banana smoothie, sweetened with honey. $5 for a cup full of protein, peanut butter and goodness . Just needed that after my work out! My other friends got halo-halo and tamarind juice and they said it was great. I really enjoyed the music in different languages too... I was driving by 15-501 and my kids wanted to stop by frozy to grab some frozen yogurt. This place is amazing! I was so glad that they have bubble tea here also! because their sign only says frozen yogurt and smoothie. I ordered a regular black milk tea and it was delicious that i ended up order another jumbo size! They have a great selection of frozen yogurt and a bunch of toppings that my two kids were satisfied with their cravings! They have great customer service as well! Don't judge a book by its cover. It is ao sad to see this place get bad rating . It has been my favorite place to get my bubble tea craving fixed. They have plenty of options. Bapu's ambiance inside looks artsy, with cute aesthetics and cool atmosphere. What stood out to me was the assortment of toppings displayed. The good thing: they look pretty colorful and fresh; the not-so-good thing: they're uncovered, so I'm not sure if they're clean. Nonetheless, it's convenient to see the different topping options you can add to your milk tea. I noticed Bapu uses the artificial purple taro powder for its milk tea instead of taro paste, so I eliminated that choice from my milk tea selection process. There was only one young employee who took orders and also made the milk teas when I went, but his customer service was good as he made fine recommendations and served my order fast. Unlike Boba Baba's eye-aching menu screens, Bapu Teahouse's menu overhead looks clear with photos, highlighting its special drinks. There are no kiosks here, so you'd have to order face-to-face. As the server recommended, I ordered the Brown Sugar Ice Milk (75% sweetness, light ice). It doesn't look as Instagram-worthy as Tiger Sugar's brown sugar milk teas, but it looks yummy enough, with brown sugar syrup clearly visible in Bapu's cute & translucent cup with ears. Bapu only serves 1 size for its drinks. When I ordered this, the server asked if I wanted boba. Most decent milk tea cafes I go to automatically already have the basic tapioca pearls or boba by default in their brown sugar milk tea drinks but Bapu charges extra for that. Brown Sugar Ice Milk is listed as $6. With the boba topping, I ended up paying a total of $7.76, which is slightly higher than average price of brown sugar boba milk teas in cafes I've been to. Compare that to Feng Cha in Morrisville, which offers Dirty Boba (brown sugar milk tea for only $6.25 with the boba already included, so Bapu's pricing here sounds like a joke. To be fair, the size of the cup is large enough, with its cute top that reminds me of Doraemon or Hello Kitty. The material of it doesn't look cheap and it feels fun to hold. The sweetness of the brown sugar flavor was just right. It might have been too sweet if it was set to 100% sweetness level, and it's still probably slightly sweet at 50% but my usual preference of 75% for any brown sugar milk tea was perfect here. The milk was deliciously-creamy with the fresh & chewy boba - perfect texture. Server did a good job blending with just the right amount of ice, good amount of brown sugar syrup & boba. It's not on the same level as Boba Baba's Brown Sugar Boba or Tiger Sugar's brown sugar drinks but it's better than many mediocre brown sugar milk teas I've tried in other cafes. Bapu Teahouse's menu is purely drinks, with a nice variety of milk teas, fruit teas, smoothies & iced coffee. The first time we went astonished us the moment we entered. The logo and the "Chapel Hill Mogo Tee" signage on the wall, the impressive menu of various teas, the 2 kiosks for ordering, the neat seats, fresh fruits inside the glass case, bright and clean spaces that make Moge Tee an inviting cafe to sip cha and/or enjoy delicious desserts. It was the complete opposite of Tiger Sugar's ambiance in Cary, NC (previously reviewed). Moge Tee's vast selection of milk teas & fruit teas with cheese foam, fruit Yakult, milk swirls, matcha, and Thai varieties can satisfy almost any tea lover's craving. Two uncommon ingredients stood out the first time we viewed Moge's menu: red bean & creme brulee. Average milk tea cafes likely don't have either of these ingredients, so when we saw that Moge offers both as part of some of its teas, we knew that this milk tea cafe is clearly beyond average. Established in mainland China, the Moge Tee franchise has stores operating globally, with locations in China, Southeast Asia, Australia & North America. According to its website, Moge Tee has grown its presence in the U.S. since 2018. Out of the global milk tea franchises we've tried, Moge Tee is our new favorite, and ranks above SharedTea, Kung Fu Tea, Meet Fresh & Quickly. It might be on the same level as Tiger Sugar in terms of overall drink quality & selection but Tiger Sugar probably does brown sugar milk drinks better; whereas Moge Tee tries to cater more to different tea preferences, and from the 4 drinks we've tasted so far, we think Moge does a pretty good job at that. Here are my thoughts on the 4 large drinks we've tried in our first 2 visits (Note: we took sips of each other's drinks so could review what my girl ordered): 1. Red Bean Milk Tea + Creme Brulee (75% sweetness, light ice) - It was creamy but not as creme brulee in this drink didn't stand out as much as the Brown Sugar Boba in Boba Baba in Cary (previously reviewed). The best part if this drink was the red beans that went well with the milk tea. 2. Matcha Milk Tea with Creme Brulee (50% sweetness level) - unique mix of matcha & creme brulee. Mildly sweet and would please matcha lovers. 3. Fresh Taro Boba Milk Tea - Uses fresh organic taro instead of the cheap purple taro powder that many milk tea shops use. Cashier said that sweetness level can't be adjusted here, and I assumed that it was because the fresh taro already adds its natural sweetness. But when I first sipped it, it was not sweet at all, but it tasted refreshing, and I prefer this over classic taro milk tea made of powder. It reminded me of the taro milk tea I tried in Grand Asia but this is less sweet, so if you're craving for sweet milk tea, I wouldn't recommend this. There seems to be a minimal amount of a boba, which seems fine for this kind of drink. 4. Coco Red Bean (50% sweetness level) - My girl ordered this drink and we both think that this is the best and most unique drink we've tried in Moge Tee. The combination of coconut milk, red bean & ice tasted super delicious. Every sip tasted rich & sweet, and the red beans added that special flavor you won't find in many milk tea cafes. Other than the milk teas, we enjoyed the creme brulee dessert ($3+). We already ordered a total of 7 creme brulees. This is more affordable than the $6 caramel custard in that Brecotea, so the value here in Moge is so much better. The layer of cameralized sugar on top and its custard base taste fantastic. It's a great dessert to pair with milk tea, especially if the milk tea is just mildly sweet. There were some minor flaws in our tea-venturing experience of our 2nd visit in Moge Tee. This time, both kiosks were not working, so we had to order in front, and when we tried to, the guy cashier said system wasn't ready, so we had to wait a few minutes before we could order. The guy cashier wasn't as friendly as Nico from Boba Baba but he did answer my question about the fresh taro boba clearly. Brown Sugar boba was also not available in our 2nd visit. While Moge Tee in downtown Chapel Hill may not have the best customer service, it still exceeded our expectations when it comes to its overall milk tea quality, fresh ingredients, and inviting ambiance. We ordered the Gulab Jamun Rolled Ice Cream & Falooda. The rolled Gulab Jamun ice cream was good, but the Falooda was AMAZING! Perfectly layered and the presentation was on point for both. Before you head there, two things I'd like to mention...the prices are high! $10 for rolled ice cream feels a bit much & the service is slow. But if you're there to spend time with someone, go ahead & chit-chat until your dessert arrives :-P Because sometimes the dessert takes its sweet time... literally :D

At this location, I tried the Rose Bubble Milk Tea (half sugar, large size, $6.25) and the Mango Tea Slush (half sugar, $6.25). The Rose Bubble Milk Tea was available in medium (500 mL, $5.25) and large (700 mL). I believe the Mango Tea Slush was available in large size only. Prices were before tip and tax. Both drinks were well made, good quality, and delicious. The Fresh Rose Bubble Milk Tea had a nice balance of tea, milk, and boba flavor. The boba was fresh and had appetizing consistency. The Mango Tea Slush was made with real mango. Like other bubble tea shops with fruit teas, Moge Tee had prefilled cups with mango ready to go. Upon ordering, they added ingredients to the mango and blended everything together. The drink was icy cold, refreshing, and tasty. Again, good quality. Sweet, but not too sweet. Moge Tee has a good selection of drinks. Aside from the aforementioned bubble milk and fruit teas, they have cheese foam drinks, yogurt fruit tea, milk swirl drinks (e.g., brown sugar boba), uji matcha (highest-grade matcha), tofu pudding drinks, and more. Service has been fine. The first time, we ordered with an employee at the counter. The second time, there was a self-serve kiosk off to the side with a touchpad. Overall, Moge Tee is one of the better bubble tea chains we've tried so far in the Triangle. There's also a location on Franklin Street in Chapel Hill. This location is on 9th St in Old West Durham, near Duke East Campus. It opened in February 2021. For both of our visits, we parked on the street for free. It's two-hour parking, 8am-6pm.

The thing is though, while everything is passably good, almost every dish or drink has something that is just off enough to miss the mark. For example, the braised pork bowl has lettuce and not cabbage and was quite oily. The popcorn chicken had no basil, and the boba was just lacking in depth. Overall, it's a spot I would really love to love - but it's just not offering quite enough to be on my list of go-to spots.
