First, elote in a cup. Second, for $4.50 I was expecting to get a delicious prepared elote in a cup. It was definitely not that. It's cheese, mayo, and what I assume are frozen corn kernels because you can't be bothered to use whole corns or you would offer that option, right? Third, the raspados we're digusting, sugary, and somehow still watery. Don't offer the option to add lechera if you're not adding any to the raspado. Fourth, it's over priced, there's like 10 people working and it still took you 20 minutes to prepare my order, and why do you call out a number if you don't tell your customer what number they will be? I could have easily grabbed the wrong order. Final thoughts, this place is disappointing and over hyped. The people who go here don't know what good Mexican munchies are if they rate this place so highly. read more

My family and I come here often. They always have fast friendly service and everything weve had so far is amazing. They have ceviche tostadas for only $5 and they are very generous with the amount of ceviche they put on top. My kids love the chamoyada, and the strawberry cheesecake is my absolute favorite. Place is nice and open! There is a lot of drinks and snacks to choose from. Only thing I'd talk about is customer service and the employees not wearing gloves. We ordered two ice cream cones and the girl working didn't have gloves on while touching our cone and scooping. During this time I think that should be implemented. The lady taking our order wasn't thrilled to be there. She had a sense of rushing us to order or didn't look pleased that we didn't know what to order. We will try the place again at a later time but hope it will be a better experience. What a terrific unique place. This is truly authentic to Latin food and reminds me of a few places in Mexico. The menu has a variety of items and range from ceviche, salads, fruit bowls, ice cream, etc. stopped in to get a popsicle for my daughter and can't wait to go back and try more on the menu. I love this place. I don't speak Spanish or even pronounce the words right but the workers are great and friendly. The food is to die for.

Delicious and fresh juices, fresas con crema (berries and cream), and food. Friendly service and prices not cheap, but def. reasonable. We have only gotten 1 food item there (Carne Asada fries), and they were the best I have ever tasted. Instead of guacamole on top, fresh sliced avocados, fries remained crisp and ingredients were delicious, fresh, and not overwhelming like other CAF's in town. You may be overwhelmed with all the different Spanish restaurants in Mesa, Arizona, because they all claim to be the best of the best; but, Frutilandia, is the restaurant I continue to visit and enjoy; because, Frutilandia is the best Spanish restaurant on the block! My best friend absolutely loves this place! He lives just down the street and one day he just convinced me to go with him. When I got there my jaw dropped because of the wide selection of the menu and I had no idea how I was going to choose. His absolute favorite is the refreshing shrimp cocktail and recommended that I tried it. I did and the flavor was so impressive! He ordered a dish called Mariscos and I took a bite or two and it was delicious. I can proudly say I enjoyed my first visit at Frutilandia and I recommended to him that we had to return again. What it takes for a Spanish restaurant to be "best" the presentation plays a giant roll; because the meal is more enjoyable when in a comfortable environment. The quality of my meal is a factor that allows me to enjoy a meal that tastes just like home. The cleanliness is highly important in a Spanish restaurant, I would like to think my meal is not just delicious but safe too. Lastly, the customer service is the most memorable factor when dinning in a Spanish restaurant, I prefer welcoming service for a better overall experience. The colorful walls made the Spanish theme really pop. I love the digital menu too. I felt like I was in a high class Spanish restaurant. Although, the only part of my visit I did not enjoy was the customer service. The clerk did not have a welcoming attitude. She didn't smile, and had a lame tone. The family stopped here and was really excited to try the offerings. I jumped right in with the Diablito but it was a bit much for me. As described on the menu, it was loaded with tamarind. If you are a novice in their drink specialties and/or don't enjoy a tangy salty profile this might not be the drink to start you off. Other notes from a novice, the raspado shave ice is not Hawaiian style, it is more a course grind. The Macedonia has mango in the grind and is topped with ice cream while the Obisbo had no mango. Those were very accessible and enjoyable. The shop was clean pleasant and interesting and the service was friendly. We would definitely visit again. read more

Was a whole year ago when I tried this place but will return again to give it another shot as I remembered being intrigued by the selection. Got the shrimp ceviche tostado and Macedonia. Ceviche awesome. Macedonia huge but I remembered there being too much of the syrup and condensed milk for my liking. It made it too artificial tasting and I couldnt really taste the natural flavors of the other things. It was a large cup filled with small cubes of mango, 1 strawberry sliced into 4 and placed as garnish, and 1 big scoop of ice cream. The concoction floats in creamy mango and ice. It as very tasty, excellent actually. The only problem was what is called shaved ice was more like crushed ice. Also it was not cheap at $5.50. I will probably not return since RaspadosRico is closer to my home and a better shop in my opinion. read more

If I could give this zero stars I would. The hand sanitizer at the entrance to figure not one single drop. Mind you everyone in here is invading your own personal bubble. The cashier has the worst attitude. I politely ask for hand sanitizer for my daughter and me since she will be undergoing surgery. The cashier and another girl say they don't have any at all.
