Extremely rude. Today I went to Fuddruckers and asked about gluten free, some have GF buns. But sadly, when I asked about Gluten Free for me (after ordering 3 meals for my family) I was blown off. Nothing here is Gluten Free, not even the salads. NOT EVEN THE SALADS! Really? Perhaps the management at this establishment should educate the staff on how to handle food allergies with more humanity than kicking a dog out side for jumping on the couch. My husband wanted to cancel the order, but I left and went to eat elsewhere by myself, instead of with my family I felt so unwelcomed. Kindly, the lady at Panera next door brought out the binder that holds all allergen information, and amazingly you can order salads without Gluten components. All were dirty and filled with leftover food. Maybe they were short staffed but the place was extremely unattended to today. I flipping love this place!! It's been years since I have been here and I completely forgot how incredibly delicious there burgers are! On a lunch brake, I was craving something hot and savory- That's when Fuddruckers crossed my mind. I even like the ambiance of the place; it's a step up from a typical burger joint, very nice and well kept with more than enough seating. I was not quite in the bun mode, so I ordered the Mushroom Swiss burger protein style- Which comes with of course Swiss Cheese, grilled onions and mushrooms (I opted for a slightly larger patty then the small) which also comes with a salad, you have an option of dressing's to choose from, I chose the thousand Island dressing and had it on the side The presentation alone was enough to kick me into my animal instinct and devour it like a starving lion in the wild, absolutely mouthwatering in presentation and of course the taste was OUT OF THIS WORLD! A big juicy succulent burger, piled high with savory sautéed mushrooms, onions and a slice of gooey, melt in your mouth Swiss cheese! Each savory,flavorful bight lead me deeper into a carnivorous heaven!! As for my salad, it was a typical side salad-large though tasty,but my god, my burger was a winner! You have to stand in line to order. Then you have to keep an open ear, hear your name and go up to retrieve your food. You can then build your sandwich to your liking at the condiment bar. The Kobe burger was ok but not spectacular. I read a lot of comments about the jalapeños nacho cheese, so I tried some on the burger. In order to taste it, I had to put a ton on there. I couldn't identify any difference between it and the regular nacho cheese sauce, other than tiny prices of jalapeños. I had to add more jalapeños from the condiment table. The blonde beer on tap tasted like a mediocre pale ale. The two items were not worth $16. The bun was good. They make them in-house throughout the day, so they are as fresh as it can get. I just can't justify the high price tag for a freshly baked bun (the only star of the night). The place just feels dirty. Tables are left without being cleaned up for too long. My friend had reserved a room here for my best friends birthday party. I assumed it was upstairs but it turns out it was the small room to the side. Their idea of saving the room is taping up a piece of printer paper that has: RESERVED 6-8 PLEASE on it. Most people didn't notice it, so when I went in to set up there were people at 3 of the tables. I remember when this Fuddrucker's was added to the Willows! With its fresh baked buns and other goodies, choice of burger size, soda boxes shaping the line to the register (I could have sworn back in the day it was beer - am I right?) - we were dazzled! Fudd's was a fun place to grab a burger, and not much has changed. Let the twinkling neon stars above the entrance beckon you to burger delights galore! This location is one of the oldest I've seen but also one of the largest, with tons of table space plus an open area upstairs that can be booked for parties. Their food remains consistent and tasty for the price. And while I do love me a good burger, I've been a fan since childhood of their hot dog (your receipt will say 'Dogzilla', which is highly accurate!), sliced on the griddle, and nestled into a fresh east-coast style bun complete with some toasty buttery grill love. I'm a cheese dog lover too, and I personally skip their $1.75 chili/cheese add-on, and simply hit my dog with their nacho cheese available to everyone with condiments. Pair it up with some rockin' Frings (the fry & ring basket combo) with ranch for dipping, and life is good! Two consistencies at every Fudd's: 1) The soda machine is self-serve, and is a NASA-esque marvel designed by Coke with just about every soda product and flavor combo you can imagine. Every sip is an adventure! My most recent visit resulted in a vanilla root beer - interesting! 2) When your food is ready, the crabby workers (seriously there must be a checkbox on their employement application - Are you fond of scowling?) call out your name to pick up the order. Usually one employee understands that burying the microphone down your throat is an inefficient way to be understood, and bless that person for being crystal clear over the speakers. Wow, people seem to love this place. I've been curious, but never enough to actually go. Today Cinzia's soccer End of the Season Dinner was at Fuddruckers, in the party room upstairs. I went in not knowing what to expect. What to expect: stand in a [slow] line to order, wait for your name to be called over a PA system. But if you're upstairs, your name isn't heard up there so hang out by the condiment bar. We got our food fast enough, two kids meals, one 'Ragin' Cajun' grilled chicken sandwich. Cinzia loved the corn dogs, Reno was cool with Chicken Bites. Both came with wedge fries and drink for like 4$ each. My chicken sandwich came w an embarrassing pile of grilled onions on top and was below average, 7$, no sides or drink. There's a crowded condiment bar for your burgers, etc. And a game area. Both totally crowded. So much so that me and Reno almost searched out a Panic Room. We both don't do well in spastic crowds. Apple doesn't fall far then. This is my neighbourhood Fuddruckers and the superior choice to the Sun Valley Red Robin if you want a good burger (with all the fixings) in a comfortable, casual, and friendly atmosphere. It's also right across the street from the Concord Hilton and the perfect place for frugal business person to relax and make friends with the locals. In fact, when Gayle was raising her sons, this was (and probably still is), the place to go for post-event get-togethers (including an upstairs party room). Terrible experience here on Saturday... Came here for the kiddo's basketball team party / ceremony. The line wasn't too long, and my order wasn't very complicated. We ordered fish n chips, large sweet potato fries, and a grilled chicken salad. After waiting & waiting & waiting for my name to be called, I went to the pickup counter to look around (maybe I simply hadn't heard them calling me). I saw fish n chips sitting there, so I thought my order would be coming out soon... WRONG!! After about 4 minutes, I finally got sick of watching the fish n chips get COLD, so I asked if I could just take that part of my order & come back for the rest. Yes, fine. I wait for the rest... and wait... and wait!! Omgoodness, really?? There are TONS of other people getting their food, including sweet potato fries, so I ask if I can please have my large fries & they can just forget the salad altogether!! But, now there's not enough fries for a large order, ugh. I wait some more. By now I'm a little ticked off, since the team has been upstairs for awhile. Another employee (Resando?) overhears my frustration, brings a salad over, and asks what's wrong. I heard this place was super good, and i was telling my fiancé we should go here because of how great it was. We ended up ordering two burgers, one with avocado slices, and cheese, and the other plain. Also we ordered coleslaw and the fries n rings, all to go. When we saw the burger during the quality check as they handed it to us, I noticed they forgot the avocado slices, i asked the person and they gave it to me no hassle. When we got home i noticed they also completely forgot to give us the coleslaw. However, I will never dine at this establishment again. I was treated horribly by the Manager Bob Marcus. Yesterday; I went to Fuddruckers to pick up lunch for me and a coworker. The wonderful cashier was having some trouble with my card and she asked the Buffoon of a manager for assistance. He takes a brief glance at me (dressed to the nines in my professional attire, I might add) and attempts to whisper to the cashier "it probably doesn't work, the card is probably not real. WTF! It took every single fiber in my body to not curse this man out. While the cashier is mouthing sorry to me, my card does go through and she hands me my food. I gently advise the "manager" that his first inquiry should have been to confirm if my information was entered correctly, and apologize for my delay. Not accuse me of being a crook. We shared the ostrich burger. We had ordered with medium well. And when we did not receive a medium-well burger we sent it back. The cashier argued that we were mistaken and that the burger was medium well. The burger still had red uncooked meat that very closely resembled raw ground meat, and thats not characteristic of meat cooked medium well. So after about 3 minutes they took the burger back and cooked us a new one (this time medium well). The taste of the ostrich patty was really good. I would return to another Fuddruckers location and order an ostrich burger. The burger costs 9.99. Maybe next time, better service. Not for the uncooked burger, but for the arguing. read more

Generally I do not go into these types of chain restaurants. However shopping at REI took all my energy away and I needed food, so I went next door to fuddruckers. The setting is perfect for people who want to stuff themselves. The portions are so huge they actually turn me off, almost no one finishes their food and so much of every order is wasted and goes into the garbage. It's a burger joint that you can select your size of patty as well as the type of meat. The buns are fresh baked and soft. I had the 1/2 pound teriyaki burger and it was cooked medium rare. The burger bar where you dress up your burger was fresh and well stocked. The negatives...the fries are soggy. I got the sweet potato fries and wasn't impressed at all. The patty itself was flavorless and just grey. I prefer when the burgers have a little more of a char on the outside. Finally, price. Spendy and Al a carte without much of a personal touch. We had our daughters birthday dinner here with a bunch of family and friends. We took over the back area near the video games corner. We pushed some tables together and nobody seemed to mind. I got the original bacon cheeseburger, medium well done. I smothered the jalapeno and yellow peppers on there (this time), with no dressing and nothing else! Yum yum YUM!! Fries were perfect, not to much of their seasoning. Sometimes they do put a little to much for my liking. They have 2 different warm melted cheeses to pour onto your fries or burger or whatever suits your fancy! Creamy cheddar cheese and jalapeno cheddar cheese. I opt for the later. When you order a kids meal you get a free cookie of your choice. We also got a bunch of baked goodness for the other kids and adults. Cookies are .59cents each. They had snickerdoodle, chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, and M&M chip. They have individually wrapped brownies at $1.95 each. VERY YUMMY! And quite big, like the size of a mans palm. I had a great experience there. Don't go there often because I see them on the news. Although I went and had one of the best interactions with a worker in a while . He was the young man running the cashier, Sean was his name I believe. Some of the best customer service , not only was he super efficient and helpful but he offered a bunch of suggestions and allowed me to take my time ordering (took quite a while due to stuff being out of stock). Although very busy on a Sunday he was very patient. I was shocked to find out he was a supervisor being so young. The food was good ! Just missed out on the onion rings ! At first sight/taste, the burgers seemed fine. My friend and I both ordered "the works" with jack, which includes bacon and mushrooms. My friend had raved about them previously, so I was kind of expecting a lot from the burgers. Unfortunately, the taste test didn't quite match up. Still, it was cool how you can choose what veggies and condiments to add to your burger since they have a condiment bar and you can grab whatever you want. We also ordered the sweet potato fries, but it wasn't crispy enough for our tastes. I've definitely had better sweet potato fries. Now, halfway through our burgers, my friend found a TWIG in his burger...about 3 inches long. Yes. A TWIG. According to the guy, the mushrooms are shipped with twigs and leaves and if they're not careful, it could make its way into your burger. This begs the question, if they missed a WHOLE 3 INCH TWIG, what ELSE do they miss? Bugs? Dirt? Do they even rinse their mushrooms? I called in an order, and could not have been more clear about wanting my burger to be cooked well-done. When I came to pick it up, I attempted to further verify that it was well-done, which they assured me that it was. Either they simply lied to my face, or were too dumb to even know what well-done means. When I took my first bite after getting home, it was disgusting. Pink undercooked meat, like eating a burger made out of bubble gum. Furthermore, it was a tiny paddy, almost like something i'd get in a burger from McDonalds. I guess that I eat here because they offer gift cards at Costco for 25% off. Normally the food is good and timely, however I had the chance to experience Friday night dinner around 7pm. That was a nightmare. The line for ordering was ridiculously long. An employee was pulling an In-N-Out and taking the order while you stood in line. However, this did not speed anything up because people where still making decisions at the counter. We asked if there was a table, just because you take an order does not ensure there is a place to sit. We hovered for a little and grabbed a table. Waited longer and got the food. We went to this place in Concord, CA last night for dinner. The waiters were nice, but one of the cashiers was an asshole. We had a coupon that they issued for a burger, but he refused to accept it. First, he said that "we are not doing that anymore", then changed to "I have not seen this coupon for the last 5 years". Finally, we complained to the manager and get it accepted. Fuddies is the greatest place on earth and I don't care what all the haters say (or that the choice replacement of a few letters results in something that's more appropriate for the title of a movie filmed in the San Fernando Valley). My childhood was spent eating at Fuddies thanks to a kids eat free on Tuesdays deal (it came with a free and freshly baked cookie) and cheap parents that had a pre-Groupon fetish for deals. So it's nostalgic and magical to me. But even objectively, Fuddies is great. There's a fresh salad bar with delicious pico de gallo and hot fake cheese (including a jalapeno type). There's not much reason to get anything on the burgers or any reason to order a salad - just make your own at their free bar. This particular location is where I go to ruminate (usually I eat with my coworkers but Fuddruckers is my secret antisocial hideaway comfort zone). I'll grab a burger, an elk burger, or a salmon sandwich and then a separate plate to just load up on a salad of tossed pico de gallo, lettuce, jalapenos, and fake cheese. Yeah, the burgers are a bit on the pricey side, but the buns are freshly baked and of a perfect consistency and using the salad/condiment bar correctly makes it more than worth it. The only sad thing is that the cookies here aren't as good as I remember. Maybe because each time I've only gotten the cookies that have been out of the oven for more than 10 minutes instead of piping hot gooey ones that have just emerged. But now that I'm all grown up, I'm gonna have to apologize to my parents for forcing them to take us kids here. The burgers are good, and the buns are even better. I don't like the "put your own toppings on" style... it just freaks out my germ-o-phone mind to think of people coughing or sneezing onto my onions. And this location was dirty, including the patrons (excluding myself and my escort, of course). I mean I know Concord is a little bit on the ghetto side, but really, the homeless people that camp out on my door step (in SF) have an excuse to stink and wear stained cut-off T-shirts, someone who'd paying $8 for a burger does not. Throw in two kiddie birthday parties and you have an atmosphere that I do not enjoy. Absolutely awful. This used to be our go-to place for burgers, however the quality has changed for the worse over the past few months. Yesterday's burger for lunch was so heavily seeped in oil and barely cooked even though I requested it as medium. I asked for a replacement (because they were going to put it back on the grill) and although the second one was cooked a bit more, there was puddle of oil swimming on top of the burger. The cashier simply reported it as being healthy oil! I patted it down with a stack of napkins before adding the condiments.I ate half the burger because I was hungry and had to return to work, however hours later I was very nauseous and couldn't eat for the rest of the day. I love going to Fuddruckers and have been going to the Willows Plaza and Walnut Creek locations since high school. It's a great place to get a quick, quality meal at a sit-down place, and the atmosphere is perfect for a casual get together with friends. Beyond their fantastic burgers, the salads and soups are also very tasty. I love the fresh veggie bar with fresh tomatoes, onions, lettuce, and other condiments. There are tongs there for a reason, germophobes! Although I will admit that I prefer the Walnut Creek location to the Concord one for cleanliness and atmosphere, it's still worth it to stop by if you're in the area or happen to be shopping in the Willows Plaza. The quality of the food remains consistent either way. read more
