I ordered a beyond burger with mushrooms and it was really really good. My husband had the 1/2 lb burger. It was huge and he loved it.

The staff was nice, the place is pretty loud, big and roomy. I got the Ostrich Burger with seasoned wedges. Son got the kid's Cheese Burger combo. The wedge fries were good, the Ostrich Burger was okay,Not mind blowing good. Kiddo took only a few bites and was done with the burger. As a burger place I give it a C, pretty basic. read more

4 stars for the cheese sauce alone. Is it the best? No. Is it included and unlimited? Yes! I dip everything into cheese at Fudds! The service is pretty quick considering you assemble your own burgers. I do get a little off put but the buffet style topping bar cause I've seen some gross things but I've never gotten sick from it so I guess it's alright. Terrible! Apparently, this location has become a franchise, and increased their prices without updating their menu boards or any notification to the customer. We ordered the steak sandwich, but were charged $4 more than what is posted. We also ordered and paid $2 more for sautéed onions and mushrooms, but our hamburger didn't have any in it. This is very disappointing because we want to support the local restaurants, but not at the expense of paying more for nothing. ***Update*** I was contacted by the GM who offered compensation for the mishandling of our orders. Bob apologized for the lack of service and issues, agreed that a $4 increase unexpectedly would outrage him also. In return for our experience, he offered a gift card. Had lunch here today with my son. I had the veggie burger and he had a cheeseburger and we also got the sweet potato fries. The burgers were fabulous. Partly because the buns are baked fresh daily. The sweet potato fries were very meaty and honestly after the burgers we didn't have much space to eat them. I would prefer them a little more crisp. I love the fixings bar for the burgers and ample ketchup/mustard stations. You order at the register before you eat and then find a table. As others have said the manager here is very rude and does not wear a mask but enforces his customers to do so. There is a word for that "hypocrite" but I doubt he knows what it means because he does not look like the educated type. Looking at him though I don't think he will be manager much longer as he does not look very healthy and is full of negativity. Negative stars if I could. No signs about COVID protocols anywhere. Our county is requiring proof of vaccination or negative COVID test within 72 hours, yet this establishment wasn't enforcing that. They didn't enforce masks at all. The employee at the register didn't even wear his own mask (must have been the manager. All of the other employees wore their masks, but not him) I asked if they were requiring proof of vaccination for dining in. He said, "Yeah" while shaking his head no. Made my order, and he never asked for my vaccination card. Don't come here unless you want to catch COVID. Ahh, I've had multiple bad experiences at this restaurant and I will not be returning. Currently, in the county, there is a vaccine mandate to dine inside. They are not checking, nor requiring vaccine cards to dine in-doors; therefore not following the mandate. Additionally the owner/manager, was not wearing a mask the entire time we were there. It's obvious that they are not complying with state mandates right now. I did not appreciate this experience. read more

My husby's fave burger joint ever since. When we have a hankering for a good old burger, this is the legit place to go. Hands down. Lots of juicy ground meats available, from top sirloin to wagyu beef to buffalo. Wow. Husby loves this place because besides cooking your burgers the way you want them, he can serve himself with as much lettuce, tomato, onion, ketchup, mustard, mayo, cheese sauce and jalapeño cheese sauce as much as he wants. Consistently good choice beef burgers, prompt and friendly service, and lots of choices of drinks and condiments you can help yourself to. Lots of paper towels to wipe up your mess too. This location is very busy. Probably because it's the last one in the Bay Area. Not sure why though??? We drive 25 miles for the burgers. My husband says they are the best! I personally love the nacho cheese with the steak fries. read more

Fuddruckers (more like 3.5 stars) is one of our old faithful burger spots. Although I prefer dining at new places when we eat out, my husband likes his tried and trues. He enjoys ordering different proteins such as ostrich or bison. Not too many burger places have these options. And we've been eating here for years so I do have a Fuddruckers black card membership. It's nice to receive promos, coupons and free sundaes during my birthday month! They don't skimp out on the ice cream either. I love the hamburger buns they make fresh in-house. They are incredibly soft but hold up well to the patties. I usually order a kid's meal for myself because their combos are especially filling when they have an extensive condiment bar that includes kimchi, jalapeños and banana peppers! I mean, kimchi? I'm surprised they don't charge extra for it. And then there's the legendary liquid gold cheese! Soo good but so bad for you! I can't get enough of the jalapeño cheese...perfect for dipping my wedge cut fries. What about the complimentary roasted peanuts? So much free going on here. ;) Did you know Fudds has a happy hour menu? Yeah, me neither! You can purchase a burger, fries, and a soda for a little less than the kid's meal! No cookie provided though. Still a deal! The cashier suggested I order from the happy hour menu to save money. I appreciated his suggestion because I overlooked their happy hour sign on the counter. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe he's the manager. This PHAT older gentleman. This guy was arguing with my younger sister (who is a minor) about bacon! ARE YOU KIDDING ME? My sister has ordered from DoorDash on several occasions and Fuddruckers has ALWAYS tailored her meal. She has never faced a problem like the one she encountered today. My sister is told by the "manager" (who doesn't deserve the title) that you can't add bacon to your burger if you purchase through DoorDash. That's strange because we've never had an issue before! See the screenshots attached! We've got receipts! They have always complied with our request. We are charged an additional fee for the accommodations. My sister is puzzled because she doesn't understand why her request can no longer be fulfilled. She does, however, politely request bacon and is willing to pay for it. We want what we want, regardless of the cost! He continues to talk over my sister while she is speaking, and he keeps repeating himself about the same sh**. Instead of accommodating the PAYING CUSTOMER and resolving the situation like a MANAGR should, he is only interested in being "correct" and proving a point. People need to learn customer service and how to talk and treat people. The youth are the ones who keep you employed. The established is only surviving because of the youth! We went in today to celebrate my grandson's birthday and in the midst of the delta variant covid increase the owner and a cook were not wearing masks. Came here for the first time so I was a little lost. Luckily the guy behind the counter was very helpful and nice. I ordered 1/2 lb. with lettuce , grilled mushrooms and avocado with sweet potato fries. I got my order immediately but had to remind that I paid for grilled mushrooms and avocado. It was pretty sad to see that the lady just grabbed the grilled mushrooms from a stainless steel container and 3 slices of avocado. This was not worth the additional $$ if they were going to just get it from containers that are sitting out. I thought it was going to be fresh grilled mushrooms. Anyway the sweet potato fries too was little soggy. Frying oil must be hot that hot or the fries were frozen thrown into the hot fryer which lowered down the hot oil. Thus soggy fries. Review #153 - 2018 I've never been to Fuddruckers before so when my nephew told me that he wanted to try their burgers for his birthday, I was kind of skeptical as to how great their burgers really are compared to other "gourmet" burger shops. I actually expected a high end burger shop from what I've heard from other people and just from seeing how big their restaurants are from the outside. When I walked in and saw that it was a self serve restaurant, I felt a little better because I was afraid that other customers would be annoyed since the baby was not on her best behavior. I ordered the 1/2lb elk burger in medium and it came out quite dry. It was lukewarm like it was microwaved or something instead of freshly grilled. It's a good thing that they have a veggie bar with fresh tomatoes, onions, lettuce and whatever else you may need to add to your burger. I even added kimchee to my burger, which was surprisingly good because it made the meat less dry. They also have a bunch of different sauces & condiments for those who are more adventurous with their burgers. My son had the 2/3lb beef burger and both of my nephews had the 1/2lb beef burger, which they said were pretty good. I guess the beef was better than the elk. They also have a mini arcade/play area for the kids so that's a bonus for parents who need a few moments to enjoy their burgers. The place was rather empty but our order took almost twenty minutes. We haven't eaten here in awhile so maybe that is normal now. Prices jumped up considerably since we last were here. And the cashier charged us $1.00 extra for cheese on the kids meal cheeseburger. Perhaps I am asking too much but shouldn't the "cheese" be included in the price of a cheeseburger?
