I have wanted to come here for so long! I fell in love with their "Crazy Motherpucker's Groovy Garlic" hot sauce years ago. When it was discontinued, I wrote the company. Over 3 years later, I received an email that my letter has remained on the CEO's desk to keep in his mind. It was ready and they wanted to send me a bottle. That is customer service! I was not disappointed when I went to the restaurant. The same amount of care I felt as the hot sauce customer was given at the restaurant. The place was clean, fun, fast (considering the people anyway) and most importantly DELICIOUS! The cheese curds were out of this world, and my burger was tasty. I kind of wish I ordered the chicken sandwich my wife got. Man was that good! I want that breading spice recipe for my fried chicken at home! I will definitely be returning. Didn't have high hopes after the shitty outdoor bar service. First time outside, no bartender in sight. Went back after gator feeding and pics. Waited at least 10 minutes in what I thought was the line to get drinks, only to have her overlook me no less than five times. When I finally flagged her down, she was borderline obnoxious. No need for an attitude like that at a tourist spot. Either get a sign for walk-up orders or figure out how to accurately determine who's next in line like every other person in the industry. Other than the snotty bartender, it was an enjoyable experience with good food. Our server, Saúl, was super fun and friendly. Very genuine good energy. Food came out FAST and was delish. My daughter spilled her drink (Shirley Temple) and he got a new one for her quickly. Even the fella cleaning up the mess was friendly and sweet. We did have to wait almost two hours for a table (arrived Friday at 4pm), but there was enough to keep busy that we didn't notice the time passing. At a larger very commercial place like this you can really only expect so much from the food. However everyone in my family seemed to enjoy what they got. Can't remember all the cutsie names for the dishes but my wife got a Mahi sandwhich, my daughters split the popcorn shrimp and I got 2 chicken breasts with onions mushrooms and bacon covered in cheese. It was pretty good I must say. My younger boys got kids chicken fingers...they didn't really eat them, but they hardly eat anything anyway. Oh and before I forget...there was one downside to the food. We got the crab dip which was pretty good, but the corn chips which were red and green which made me think of Christmas must have been left over from Christmas because they were super stale....alas, we still ate them. One thing I DID NOT EXPECT was the service we got. I'm very big on customer service and don't really find amazing over the top service most places. But the manager noticed my youngest son, who refuses to sit in a high chair and is often making a scene when we are out to eat having some trouble. He brought him some mini gator toys to play with which I thought was GREAT service. Taking that one extra step to make a difference. I think overall this is a cool place to go if your on vacation and looking for something more than just dinner. The feeding the gators attraction is pretty cool, there is also a play area for the kids, and a gift shop. Lots of things you can do either after dinner or while you wait. My personal first time here, went with some other people that had gone before. Two of us arrived early (4:15pm) requesting a table for 6. Was told wait would be 30-45 mins. Our table was ready in 30 mins. Your entire party must be present to be seated. So by 5pm we were seated for dinner. Which in my opinion is brilliant to beat the crowd!! Dinner was better than expected, since it is a known tourist trap. We shared a combo appetizer (chicken strips, hush puppies, fried pickles, cheese curds). Food came quickly, we enjoyed coconut shrimp, good but not amazing. I've had amazing being that I live in South Florida. Amber jack fish was good, better than expected, servings were large. Kids had gator bites and cheese pizza, both were rated good. We all enjoyed Fat Daddys arcade next door as well as watching the alligators being fed. Overall I would go back as long as I didn't have to wait more than 45 mins for a table. The lack of 5 stars is due to the writing on the walls, literally! I can say that this is honestly the worst place I've ever eaten in my life, the worst. Not being dramatic or anything it was just that bad. The place is run down and smelt like gasoline when we went. All the food was bad baaaaaad. Fish is definitely frozen fish like you would buy at Walmart, mashed potatoes were just plain instant mash potatoes, burgers were stale, and the chicken tenders literally didn't taste like chicken. And on top of all that the cherry on top is the absurd pricing. Gonna buy a Walmart frozen fish dinner for $28. Insanity my friends. 3rd year visiting Destin and we decided to try Fudpucker's. It's seemed like a fun environment definitely family friendly. However, we did not have a good experience at all. We walked in for a table and was told an hr wait which is perfectly fine very normally anywhere during lunch time. We headed down to see the gators and my 3 year old loved the exhibit. There is a playground for kids to play on as well while we waited. We received a text that our table was ready after waiting about 45minutes and it all went downhill from there. We ordered drinks and when the waitress came back she dropped one of the drinks on my mother and it spilled all over her and the floors. The waitress was in shock and very apologetic so we assured her it was okay. Once receiving our drinks we placed our orders and waited and waited and waited. 2 other tables that was seated 15 minutes after us received their orders and payed before we even received our meal and they had more people than us as well. We finally received our food after waiting 40 minutes. My mother got the mushroom from the appetizer section, she said it was really good not too filling which is what she went for. I got the the gator dog and it was so delicious definitely something different except the fries were kinda blend. My sister got the mac and cheese bacon jam burger and she loved it. As far as the drinks go super flavorful not too strong just perfect. Once we finished we received a complimentary desert because of the incident that happened earlier with the drinks as well as a special birthday dessert for my sister since it was her birthday. Overall, I'd give it a 3-star because of the experience we had and I'm not sure I would give them another chance. read more

CAUTION! Check your bill for over charges. I ordered a $15.99 burger and added cheese for $1.00. When I got my bill the burger was listed at $17.99. When I brought it to the attention of the waiter and he said he'd check on it. He came back and said the Asst. Manager and Manager just said "that's the price now" and they didn't care if it was listed lower on the menu. How many other items are over-charged? FYI, the burger had no flavor at all. Big parties beware! If you go with more than 7 people and split the bill they will charge you each a 20% service fee. They claim it's on the menu but I never could find it. The food is expensive and we waited 3 hours only to get food that wasn't even fresh. We talked to the manager about the service fee and she was very rude and accused us of not wanting to tip. Standard prices are $25 for your average meal, making this place one of the priciest options around. Super-long wait times and a generally gross atmosphere make this glorified truck-stop with a gift shop attached a bad choice for anyone. Be sure to give this a miss. read more

The kids plates are pretty big for a kids meal. Only complaint is kids meal doesn't include a drink. It is a separate charge. We have 3 kids so we like that we don't have to be completely quiet. They love looking at the alligators. Call head and get on the wait list because the line can be very long. The presentation of the restaurant is really neat, and you can pay $3 to feed some small alligators. My husband and I really enjoyed doing that. We thought that a place like this would have good food as well. Unfortunately, we were very wrong. We ordered the nachos with grilled chicken and a burger meal to share. It has been 4 hours since our meal and we both feel really nauseous. The chicken was extremely bland in the nachos, the burger tasted like it may have been frozen beforehand, and the onion straws put on the burger were stale and chewy (instead of crunchy). We were extremely disappointed by the taste of the food, and the way we feel 4 hours after eating it is awful. However, the fries were tasty. The restaurant also had a bad fish smell and the bathrooms were not clean. I would spend your money at the Fat Daddy's Arcade or spend your money feeding the alligators. Kind of shocked to see so many good reviews for this place. The 2+ hour wait for food was not a surprise considering how many people were stacked up waiting before us and we were ok with that. A vile odor of urine embraced us in the humid filled foyer as we waited for to check in with the hostess. Then we had the pleasure of walking around pool of dirty stinking water filled with alligators. The entire premises was covered in hand written graffiti. Pros: alligators were cool to see and the had an aquarium with baby alligators, gift shop was nice and had a good selection. I ended up buying a tote bag. We did the VIP tour with Chris and it was amazing. He was so informative and we all learned a lot. He did a fabulous job going over everything. The best part was getting to hold the baby alligator and then was feeding them all. We got to feed over 100 alligators. Afterwards we went upstairs and had lunch with Sarah. She was awesome.
