My husband and I decided to try this restaurant out a couple of weeks ago. The restaurant had a nice vibe. We were seated quickly since there was no wait on a Friday night. Surprising! Our waiter was friendly and attentive. Now, the food server is another story. She proceeds to hand us our food over my shoulder instead of walking around and doing it face to face. I went here one time to try their sushi I think it was during happy hour the sushi rolls were really good and tasty it was pretty empty when I went inside I think I was the only person there there was maybe one other table and I went around lunchtime but I do see this place being a cool dinner spot or a nice date spot if you go at night time it's in downtown Riverside and this is yours were really good the customer service was good as well and I definitely want to go back and try the hibachi entrées I just wasn't that hungry at the time so I had got some sushi rolls. definitely try to spot out I would recommend going I need time maybe for a nice dinner. read more

I just went to the restaurant for the first time for a girl's night and although the food was good, I did not like the surprise 3% Sur charge attached to my bill. It's not about the extra $5 I paid, it's about the principle. Please disclose your taxes accordingly. I don't like secret fees. When we asked our server about it she told us "we use it to pay our cooks and employees with increasing minimal wage in CA." When I asked if it was required she said yes and that I could speak to her manager if I wanted. A suggestion: If you need to pay your employees better, then increase price of food instead of blindsiding the customer. Also, for the record, this kind of fee is not mandatory. read more

My other orders were the children's hibachi plate with the steak and the chicken chicken was dried out. to be under a heat lamp. My husband ordered the steak and chicken with the noodles and fried rice. Everything seemed to be put under a heat lamp, it tasted lukewarm and took a long time to get. It was like salsa, the rice was drenched in the salsa water which made it completely fall apart and soggy, and the shrimp was raw which was weird but idk much about that so maybe it's normal. I went any ways the decorations are beautiful. The waitress was pleasant and that's all I can say lol. I asked for lemonade and I got some flavored water. Nice place to eat in downtown Riverside. The food is good and our server Tania was sweet and attentive.

After being there so many times I considered this my favorite restaurant to eat. I wanted to introduced my cousin to it. We were there this last Friday and we were so disappointed. (2 people) The portions got so much smaller. I even counted my zucchini's (5) no tiny corn 2 pieces of onion. I was still hungry when I left. I used to not be able to finish my plate and was happy I had left overs. And after a bill of $159. I know hibachi and American food are different but ate at yard house on Saturday had 2 appetizers, 4 meal plates, 2 salads, two lemonades and two alcohol beverages for $139.46. Had lunch here today. The food was excellent. If you like spicy, their Fuego fried rice is a must. I had the filet and it was prepared perfectly at 'medium.' A few hiccups with the service, the manager, Alex, got everything corrected quickly and we appreciated him checking on us. It's a new restaurant so hiccups are expected and understandable. Horrible Service! We came in here Last night, Party of 6 to have sushi and appetizers, enjoy a little happy hour. When we came in the restaurant was completely empty and there was two servers and cook. The owner and a child that was helping him take orders. I chopped it up to it being Monday evening maybe not a lot of people are out even though it's downtime riverside I expected it to be a pretty hotspot, anyways we order our food. The waitress was extremely rude throughout, the whole time we were there request was such a big inconvenience. To be fair a couple of other people came in to eat and a huge party of adult and kids that had a previous reservation we were told by the other waiter . And she was running all over the whole entire entire time. It took forever to get anything that we requested. They were not adequately staffed to handle a minimum of three tables and one large party! All the food was overly spicy. We had to send back an order of pokey nachos because of the Fuego sauce and spicy mayo. It was drenched in. It was unbearable to eat.which is like a gloried spicy bbq flavor. we split our tab three ways and they charged us a 18% large party fee for only six guest, which was not mentioned to us before, but not only did they charge it, they individually charged an additional gratuity all ended up paying $30 tip on top of 18 percent gratuity on bills of less than 100$, some of my friend stayed to go back n forth with owner to get a refund and some of us left because it just wasn't worth the amount of time that it was taking to get it refunded. Upon entering I Immediately noticed the tight seating area. Very cramped and hard for customers and staff to get through. Our waitress was not friendly at all. This is a new establishment, staff should be on point in my opinion. They were out of michelada mix so I asked for a water but they still charged me for beer plus michelada upgrade. (They also charge an additional surcharge, so like maybe act like you enjoy your job maybe??) I'm giving 3 stars solely because the food was not terrible flavor wise. Food presentation was also meh.
