Fuego Street Tacos is a hidden find in Carson City! Located inside the bowling alley on S. Carson St., we weren't sure we were in the right place. The address was correct, but who expects great tacos in a bowling alley? Boy, were we wrong! We were greeted as soon as we walked in, and the staff explained that two restaurants share the same kitchen. I ordered the surf and turf and a carne asada taco. The surf and turf was piled high with steak and four huge shrimp. It was topped with a spicy mango habanero salsa that tied everything together. I could have eaten just that and been very happy. By the time I got to the carne asada, I realized I probably should have ordered just one taco. The meat was juicy and flavorful, the salsa had just the right amount of spice, and the onions, cilantro, and cheese added the perfect finishing touch. We will definitely be back, and next time I will know better than to order more than one taco. Or maybe I will try the burrito. I am sure it will be delicious. read more

Fuego recently moved to Carson city and we decided to give them a try! The portions are giant for the price. I felt it was a really good value. Easy to find location with ample parking. I ordered a super burrito. I ordered it as a chicken burrito with no cilantro and asked if the chicken could be on the side. Unfortunately I received a veggie burrito, no chicken on the side, and it had cilantro. The food took a while and I was starving so at that point I decided just to eat it because I didn't have it in me to wait any longer. The burrito was fire though and I would definitely get it again. The flavors were great (minus the cilantro!!) and so big I took over half of it home. My husband got the birria tacos. He did like them but thought they were a little too salty. We also got a kids quesadilla for our toddler. It was $4.50 and giant. Honestly the size of an adult quesadilla. It's also very interesting that the restaurant is shared with another, Bali express. I don't know if it's the same owners or what but I've never seen that before. I like it though! Gives you variety of what you/ your friends can order. Overall, we would come back! read more

Super cute seating, almost looks like an old 1950's diner. They helped us figure out where to order quickly, super friendly people and it was very clean I side as well. Everything was super fresh. The food is not what I'd consider "traditional" Mexican style but is fresh ,delicious and consistent. The meat is cooked to order,not just held warm and tossed into the tortilla and the corn tortillas are pressed and cooked per order. The restaurant is clean and carries a positive vibe. Any one of the tacos are FAT , stuffed with meat, garnished with cilantro,onion and cotija cheese but the show stopper is the shrimp (imo) with a delicious not too hot mango habanero sauce but the dark red house made chili de arbol sauce is FUEGO! Honestly one of the hottest sauces I've been served in any restaurant. Unique yet simple and most importantly perfectly executed by the owner himself leaving zero doubts about the quality and safety of your food. I was walking around the public market unsure of what to get. I stopped in front to stare at the menu and the guy behind the counter was friendly and asked if I had any questions. He was able to make me a burrito with no meat, guac, melted cheese inside and outside the burrito which is essentially their regular burrito with some stuff from the super burrito. It was a huge burrito that was really filling and I couldn't finish it in one meal. I would probably also buy some salsa next time or just get the super burrito. All in all great experience. He was very nice, told me everything that they could do and told me where I could get water. Pay in cash to save 50 cents! The receipt also shows another $1.3 discount whereas my girlfriend ordered somewhere else with card that charged an extra $1.3. Went over to eat Reno Public Market and tried Fuego's quesabirra taco and it was fabulous. Big in flavor, big in the amount of meat in each taco, and big in service with a smile. The dipping consommé was what really put the dish over the top. Made it just that much better. The price was very reasonable for what you got. While I'm not a big fan of Mexican fare in most restaurants, Fuego found themselves a fan. I really like the ambiance of RPM. Walking up to the venue at RPM the guy had some jokes to start off my order so I'll say get this man a raise or a comedy act because he didn't just take good care of the client, him and his business have multiple ways to pay, he knows his menu, and they even called me and texted me to make sure my order didn't get cold. Customer service at its finest on a to go mission. I wanted 3 tacos so he made the recommendation for a 3 taco plate because it would be cheaper then 5 tacos alone and came with rice and beans. So let's start there: Wow! Pictures don't do this plate justice, quesobirria anything is a hot ticket item because of the consome. There's a combination of spices and flavor that give it a smoky, almost sort of barbacoa taste, just add some Hispanic influence flavors and bam! I would say Fuego definitely does it right. Great ratio of cheese to meat for the taco without having it turn soggy well done! The surf and turf.... Have a friend or 2. This is a beast!!! It's absolutely worth the $20 and this is why. Taste heaven galore! The shrimp is very well seasoned, the cheese is loaded and the meat that it's packed with is a perfect rendition of land and sea. You can taste each flavor independently on a full bite. The finishing touch of the dish is the sweet and spicy sauce coated on top of it. Great flavor profile overall! I went with the Quesabirria Taco, which upon asking in ordering one, it is pretty filling. I waited approximately 8-10 minutes and got the handy text message that my order was up. I ordered one taco and an horchata which had a sugar rim. I loved the horchata drink and would definitely grab another during another visit. I really enjoyed the Quesabirria taco and found it to be well seasoned and plentiful in terms of meat. The consume paired well with it. The customer service was efficient. First batch of customers in their new location in Carson City. What a find! Road tripping around Lake Tahoe (and driving to Costco in Carson for the cheaper gas) and found his location JUST opened yesterday. Family of 7 enjoyed burritos, quesadilla, chicken, carne, and birria soft tacos, kids bean and cheese burrito and Jamaica drinks all around. Finally got to check out the Reno Public Market! We came around noon on a Friday so it was pretty busy, but this place only had a couple of people in line so we decided to give it a try. At first my husband was hesitant because one taco is $4! But we're always down to try new taco spots so we ordered one, along with a super burrito and a kids quesadilla. The total was $25 and some change. You get your receipt via text and they let you know your food is ready via text as well, which was great because it allowed us to walk around and look at other vendors. We ordered at 12:27 and got our food at 12:48. The cashier apologized that it took awhile. The $4 asada taco was a disappointment. It barely had any onions and cilantro. The meat was good, but can't justify the cost. Maybe if they added some tortilla chips on the side. The $15 carnitas burrito was decent. First bite, all I got was rice. 2nd bite on the other side, all I got was guac. I also asked for no beans, but they added some in. It didn't come with pico de gallo, but it supposedly had onions and cilantro. It's also supposed to come with sour cream, but I couldn't find it! The meat didn't show up until after 4 or 5 bites. It also kind of started to fall apart at the bottom and got really messy. It just wasn't put together well, but it def has a lot of potential! read more
