When I politely asked the nail tech to fully cover the nail and clean up the edges, he refused. Another technician stepped in and instead of addressing the concerns, told me there was "nothing wrong," implied that because I'm new to the area I didn't know what I was talking about, and spoke to me in a dismissive and condescending manner. I was surprised and uncomfortable, as I have never been spoken to that way while receiving a service. I wasn't asking for anything excessive--just clean, fully covered nails and professional treatment. Unfortunately, the way my concerns were handled felt disrespectful and unprofessional. She kept telling me that for acrylic nails, that Katie pays attention to detail and will give me what I've been asking. I have large hands and I wanted my fingers to look longer and my hands to look more feminine. Today was my third visit to Katie at Nail It Salon and it just keeps getting better and better. She totally has reshaped my nails and made them rounded and feminine. I get compliments all the time now. I use my hands in my job- I'm a professional makeup artist and it makes me so happy to get genuine compliments on my nails now. This salon used to be Downtown and is now located on Hwy 99 north of Rogue Valley mall. They do pedicures, nails, lash extensions, waxing etc. I'm going to stick with having Katie do my nails because she's just the best I've had.
