This is a fun place to eat! We've only ever eaten at the hibachi tables, but they also have normal seating available. Prices are a little high but the portions are big and you get entertained with your food being cooked right in front of you! The chefs are always so nice and really great at their jobs! Okay, how the actual heck are people giving this place 1 star. I blows my mind. I been all around the world. 20 different countries, so many plates of sushi that got stuff in my mouth, and yet this is one of my all time favorite restaurants. They people that work here are very nice, and do an excellent show. It always a full on experience seeing them cook the food. They play games with us, do cool tricks and more. Everyone that works there is extremely trained. Never one I had a bad time in Fuji's. The food has always been a 10/10 with the amazing miso soup, salad, and the Sushi being amazing. The last time I went there, me and my dad had a HUGE plate full of sushi, and not a single roll we disliked. I go there a lot for my birthday as well and they make sure to make the day special. 10/10 restaurant, needs more love. Maybe the only complaint I have is that it can be a little loud, but there is a sushi area with a quiet atmosphere if that is too much for peeps. This restaurant needs more love! read more

The food did not taste hardly as good as some lower end hibachi places we've been to, the chicken was hard and over cooked the shrimp was very rubbery the salad was horrible. Our bill was $100 for three orders of Hibachi Chicken and three drinks, didn't realize your rice doesn't even come with the meal it is priced separately on the bill not to mention the %13 tip incorporated into the already overly priced bill. Very disappointing experience all the way around. When you go to Fuji, your expectations include a show and great food. Tonight there wasn't even a semblance of a show. Very disappointing when the gathered family was expecting just that. The fried rice was undercooked and so we're the veggies. There was no butter and spices we're few and far apart. First hibachi steakhouse I've been too. Wasn't impressed. I got hibachi chicken and scallops. The chicken was dry and not much flavor. Every single scallop on my plate I crunched on sand when eating it.... I couldn't eat all the scallops because of it. the noodles that you pay an extra charge for tasted old and had a weird taste. We come here every year for my daughters birthday. A big group, so it can be hectic for the staff. But they have managed to deliver every year (8 years). The chefs are great, the waitresses are friendly and quick. Also have been during lunch hours a few times and have been very pleased to see the chef interaction almost as much as they do in the evening. My husband and I come here all the time we never have to wait very long to get into the hibachi tables. The waitresses and staff are always very very nice! And everything is always very clean. It's also extremely kid friendly every time we go they're celebrating someone's birthday and the chefs are always super entertaining, and they engage with every guest. But it is really crowded all the time, if you're looking for a quiet place this probably isn't the best for you; but the opposite side of the restaurant has booths and tables and I can only assume that it is a bit quieter over there because the hibachi section is a completely different part of the restaurant. read more

Best dumpling soup for $4.00, you can't beat the price for fresh made soup. I took my co-worker Charles Q. For losing a bet on the Superbowl Giants vs. New England and they lost. A pretty nice Japanese restaurant that features Hibachi grills. Although, I rarely ever get that when I go, which is just proof of the variety of offerings they have which also includes a nice sushi bar. Their beer selection is standard for what you may expect for a Japanese restaurant which is a few Japanese beers, some domestics and other imports, but no craft beer, which I think all restaurants and bars should have now with such a wide selection available. 1 star because the food was good. I have been here twice; the first time it was with 3 adults and a child. The second time it was with 5 adults and 2 children. Now I don't know if it's because we had a "big" group but it took more than 20 minutes to be seated at the sushi section. We could easily see 2 tables that could easily be pushed together to seat our group and/or one open booth that could seat our group. We also noticed customers coming back and forth from the hibachi section to the sushi section. Very unorganized. While waiting to be seated on both of my visits I noticed none of the servers smiled while walking around, the servers were quick to leave the table (so quick they didn't take 2 of my friends drinks), also when there is an issue with a table they seem to ignore the table (1st visit they forgot my husband's and child's order. That visit we waited for maybe 20mins for their food to come out and not once in that 20 mins did our server tell us our status. He literally stayed away from our table until their food came out. We had to walk up to the sushi bar to get the eta on their meal. 2nd time my father in law was at the bar when a server looked right at him and the server took a drink and completely ignored my father in law. The server could have easily told him that someone will be right with him.). After 2 visits and both with poor service I feel as if I'll find a new sushi spot. Pretty-good sushi place near the big mall in Florence. It's a big place so there was no wait for seating, even at 8:00 on a Friday night. In fact, the actual sushi bar was deserted. Three of us sat at a comfortable table and ordered assorted appetizers (gyoza and spring rolls), seaweed salad, and some basic sushi. Service was prompt and courteous, although we had to ask for chopsticks (ohashi, if you want to impress your date). Sushi selection was pretty basic and the rolls (maki) tended toward a lot of avocado, cream cheese, Japanese mayonnaise, and deep-fried stuff. The actual sushi (nigiri) was pretty good: the fish was fresh and of good quality; certainly better than you get at one of those all-you-can-eat places or the ones (kaiten) where the food goes around and around on little boats or model railroad trains or whatever. There was also no wasabi on the sushi itself, which makes it a little bland, but may also reclect local tastes. What the heck, you can always put a little more wasabi in with your soy sauce. Highlight of the meal was the dessert, a small mochi "dumpling" filled with mango sorbet and served in sections like an orange. We all commented on the intense, sweet mango taste and how well the texture of the sorbet paired with the chewy mochi. We're just visiting here, so we can't comment on how Fuji compares to other sushi places in the area, but as an outpost of independence in a chain-food wilderness, it's plenty good enough to bring us back again to check out the steaks. read more

My family and I visit this location about 4 times a year. Yesterday I decided to take my kids for lunch and was very disappointed. The Chef was not very interactive at all and one of my pet peeves is to not have drink refills. No reason that every person at our table needed a refill. After the chef was done cooking he realized he did not make enough chicken for my daughter to have any for her meal so he yelled to the waitress to have them cook it in the back. That's fine but at no time was there an apology. The rest of her food got cold while they cooked her chicken in the back. We then needed boxes to take her food home and that took what seemed to be 10 minutes. I even got up to look around to see if I could find the boxes myself. When I got the bill along with the gentleman sitting next to me, we were both shocked at the message left on our bills asking that we tip at least 18% because she had to share her tips with the chef.
