My friends and I had such a great experience here together. We were over having coffee in the same parking lot and thought sushi sounded yummy. We saw Mizuki and decided to give it a try. First off, the rolls were 50% off! So of course we each got a roll. We all loved them. I also got the taste of Himalaya which is salmon over a salt rock! Such a fun and delicious experience. The service was great. We were greeted and sat right away. Waters were promptly brought to our table as well. I would definitely recommend this location. Worst service we've experienced, both dining in and ordering takeout. The food has always been very good, but one female server has consistently been rude whenever she's waited on us. The last time we dined in, my husband politely asked for spicy mayo a second time after she forgot to bring it with our food. She rolled her eyes at him, then came back and tossed the container of spicy mayo onto our table. We didn't say anything because we wanted to be respectful to the chefs and didn't want to make a scene. Our takeout experiences haven't been much better. On one order, they forgot an entire container that was part of our meal, so we had to drive back to get it. They called to let us know they had forgotten it but also told us we needed to arrive within 10 minutes because they were closing. They also regularly forget the spicy mayo on takeout orders, even though they charge extra for it, while it's provided at no extra cost when dining in. My husband and I used to come here regularly because we genuinely loved the food, but after multiple disappointing experiences with the service, we decided it wasn't worth coming back. The food is good, but good food isn't enough when you're consistently treated poorly. I'd rather chew a jean jacket than pay to be disrespected. read more

Came in for a late lunch and the place was fairly busy. The host greeted and got my party and I seated quickly. The food was pretty good, I do feel like since I came towards the closing time that some of the fish was not as fresh. The atmosphere was chill and definitely one of those places where you would go in to get a sushi fix. The only thing I would have to point out to improve on is that the server (not the host who sat our table and got us our drinks and first order) would forget things for our table and at times was a bit short with some of my party members which caused a bit of agitation. I do appreciate the host stepping in and making sure there was clear communication. Came in right before the rush started on Sunday, we were seated immediately. The establishment is clean and the tables were set upon entry. The hostess and waitress had been really nice. Came here with my friends after trying a coffee shop nearby, and we love sushi so we had to stop by. We almost walked place this restaurant because the outside is plain/the sign is higher up. We got seated close to the window, which is good for toddlers to look outside. We quickly ordered a variety of sushi rolls under 50% off. Sushi is fresh. I'm never disappointed. I really like their menu and havent experienced any bad items. All good and tasty. Customer service good. You must come at a time before or after the rush or you may be waiting. But the atmosphere is modern and accomodates smaller parties rather than larger groups. Disappointed to say the least. Came here as a returning customer at grand opening and a few years after. Haven't had Mizuki, Elk Grove, in over a year and wanted to relive the quality and delicious food this establishment once served. I ordered take out around 1pm on a Sunday and to my surprise the sushi roll was poorly prepared as shown in the photo. The roll was drowned in sauce and seemed as though the toppings of the roll were simply thrown in with no care at all. The portion of food has also noticeably shrank. The container was so small and weighed very light I almost went back inside to ask if "this was it?" or "is this my right order?". The service here has always been top notch but this $15 worth of food was a distasteful experience. The quality of food for take out was a complete let down. I would give this a 0/5 stars. We ordered 5 different rolls and we were expecting 5 different plates for each roll, but we were wrong. The server brought out a big plate that fit all of our five rolls. The rolls were pretty big in size too. I thoroughly enjoyed each roll and was able to kill it all easily. The restaurant is pretty big with a lot of seating. Like I mentioned earlier, when we first came there were probably another party dining in initially. There was one server working at the time and she came periodically to check on us. My first visit to Mizuki was a great one! I visited on Sunday afternoon for lunch with my family and we were pleasantly surprised for how large and modern the interior of the restaurant was after walking in from the seemingly unassuming strip mall entrance. We were greeted and seated right away. The restaurant is fairly open in its layout, with partial and open walls separating the kitchen space (which makes for lots of delicious smells wafting through the dining area). We decided to get multiple rolls to share and ordered the Friday, Lucky 7, Rainbow, Aloha, and Orange Blossom. All of the rolls were brought to our table at once on a beautiful plate and the presentation was very impressive. My favorite rolls were the Aloha and the Orange Blossom. The raw fish tasted super fresh and the sushi rice was well seasoned. I also asked the waiter if I could look at the lunch menu even though it was a Sunday (lunch menu is available Mon - Sat until 3pm), and saw some great deals, so I'll definitely be back to try those. Now they definitely deliver on that; and have your food ready to-go by the 30min time frame from ordering on the phone (give or take, but not too much to notice). The service is fine if you're dining in and so far I haven't had any issues. We came here for my daughter's birthday since they offer rolls similar to her favorite spot (Arigato's). When we arrived, I noticed plenty of empty tables, yet we still waited about 20 minutes before being seated. Once at the table, it took another 10 minutes for anyone to come by, and after placing our order, the food didn't arrive for about 25 more minutes. Staff apologized several times, however, they only have one person handling check-ins, to-go orders, and bills, which clearly caused delays. By then, my kids were already complaining about being so hungry. We ordered the Super California, Baked Salmon, Sexy Roll, Nemo Roll, and a two-item bento box with chicken teriyaki and gyoza. Decided to give this place another try. We came just after they opened for dinner. There was no one inside. We were seated right away. The sign on the window as we entered said 50% off all rolls. We've gone to their Citrus Heights location for years and it has been our go to for affordable, yummy sushi. We were stoked that they created a location in Elk Grove and stopped by while passing through the town. The rolls taste just as good as the Citrus Heights location. Some favorites: - Baked Salmon roll - Lotus roll - Citrus roll - White dragon roll Service was good. We got in and out, however we did arrive shortly after they opened on a Sunday so it wasn't so busy yet.
