    So fresh and delicious

Cute little sushi spot with a really clean and welcoming atmosphere. Our server Jacob was such a kind and knowledgeable young man -- he gave great recommendations and checked on us often. We really enjoyed the sushi and had a nice experience overall. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the edamame, which was a little underwhelming for me. Overall still a solid spot and we'd come back!

Came to Kintaro Sushi for the first time and had a great experience. The location is convenient with easy parking access. The place was very clean with a simple, welcoming atmosphere, and the service was good as well. The sushi rolls were tasty not the best I've ever had, but definitely good quality. I'll definitely be back to try more rolls from the menu!

First time eating here while visiting friends who live in this area. I was very impressed with the food & the restaurant staff was polite and prompt. The dishes were very tasty and generous, the inside of the restaurant wasn't all that interesting or it didn't seem to be. The food definitely spoke for itself! It's on my go to place for Japanese cuisine

Sushi time with my kids so we decided to try Kintaro. Nice location with convenient parking. We were greeted promptly and sat right away We ordered the fried calamari for an appetizer. The calamari came with a dipping sauce. It tasted great and the portion was generous. For our main course we had the king, queen and the bay scallop roll. Everything tasted delicious and we satisfied our sushi craving. I noticed their bento box being served to another table and it looked pretty big and delicious; I have to try that next time. I would recommend you give it a try next time you're in Elk Grove.

Stopped in on a weekday for lunch. Started with hot miso soup. Had a hot sake with Asahi beer chaser. Then enjoyed Salmon Shioyaki bento. Perfect spot to enjoy the cold weather outside with some delicious warm lunch inside! Service is great, too! Definitely coming back again soon!

Always our go to! I absolutely love their Happy Hour menu they have all of our favorite rolls and also appetizers! At a great price. The energy in there is always welcoming. And their service is always on pointe. The food is always served fresh and sizzling hot! I ordered the salmon teriyaki and it was the perfect amount of food even had some lunch for the following day! The pricing for a sushi place is great! And the quality is fresh. When you walk in you are welcomed from the hostess and you have a front row seat from the sushi bar so you can see the chefs in action! Very family oriented and a great place to watch sports as well! They have tv screens surrounding the restaurant. You will not be disappointed

We absolutely love Kintaro Sushi Bar restaurant!! I am embarrassed to admit we've never actually sat down and had a meal here. When we are super busy and need to order takeout, this is our to go order place. We've had takeout meals several times over the past couple of years. We've always walked in and made our order to go. The food has always been fresh and consistent. The people working here have always been cordial and helpful. It's a shared parking lot with other businesses. Ample parking but can get tricky on peak times. Eating out has gotten very expensive. I'm positive restaurant owners are feeling the expenses on their end as well. With that being said, their prices are competitive. We enjoy their food and consider it a nice treat!

This is an easy place to access and park for free and the sushi was good if you like a lot of sauces and toppings. My katsudon lacked flavor in its dashi sauce and pork cutlet, and the ratio of rice to katsu is far out of proportion, meaning it was so much more rice than one could eat. Unfair to the restaurant, I've recently returned from Japan where the donburi is much more meat and much less rice. The sukiyaki lacked flavor and the beef was not the thin sukiyaki slices and grade. Both dishes had a number of other toppings not typically included with these dishes and while it made a beautiful presentation, it didn't really add to its taste.

Sushi is delicious and fresh. Service is friendly and accommodating. We also enjoy the lunch specials!

As always this place is the place to come for satisfying Sushi. Our server Adam was polite and knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered as an appetizer the Tuna Crunch and for our entree the Juicy Roll and The Dinner Box that included Chicken Breast Teriyaki, Vegetables Tempura and Rice including Salad. Tasty and filling. We will be back

Came here around 12 ish on Tuesday. It was pretty empty maybe like one or two others. I got the lunch bento with chicken teriyaki. It was 12$ + tax and decent portions. Everyone gets a miso soup first too which is nice. I feel like id have to try more of their stuff to write more lol but it was pretty good i think. I paid online and for tip they only had 15% 20% or 25% and didnt let me custommmmm so that was annoying bc service was alright.

If I could i would try everything on the menu. Beers are only $4.50 and most items are under $8! The soft shell crab is the best starter that we had to order two of them. Great for large parties, birthday, and date night.

The workers are friendly and fish is nice quality. A lot of lunch special prices 11-2pm

Dinner Bento box Saba shioyaki (good moist, no fishy taste but a little too much salt) please adjust accordingly. Salmon teriyaki same as my comment above. With the addition of California roll, which is ok. Shioyaki sauce is good, that hint of spice and its combination with citrus is good for me. Tempura sauce is good too. The tempura batter mix is a bit on the salty side as well. Please do not change to burning or overcooking your food over time. Definitely be back.

Expect to wait an hour for your food after you have been seated. We arrived close to opening at noon on a Sunday and did not leave until 2pm which is when they close for lunch. We sat at the back right side of the restaurant which is where the AC is blasting so it can get very cold when seated here. We started with the Ika Maruyaki (Teriyaki grilled squid) and for $28 this was a miss. No tentacles were served and the squid did not taste very fresh. It's really not worth the price point and I don't recommend it. The next appetizer was the toro roll and I think I need to order more sushi next time. The fish was incredibly fresh with a perfect amount of rice and high quality nori. I ordered the tempura udon - you really can't go wrong with the tempura here. It has a crisply light batter that is not too thick or oily. My husband got the tonkatsu curry and this always hits. The curry is so aromatic with the warm spices and the katsu is perfectly battered and cooked.

I tried their sukiyaki set, both wagyu and seafood. I wish they had given some instructions on the approach or order I should eat the sets of food. It was a little chaotic trying to figure out how I could submerge all the ingredients in the broth so they would cook evenly. The tempura is perfectly crispy, but the rice was a little brittle and got dried really fast. The texture was more like Vietnamese broken rice, and it caught me off guard because when I tried their sushi a while ago, they used very high-quality rice. As is typical with sukiyaki, the broth becomes very flavorful at the end, absorbing all the flavors from high-quality ingredients, but my udon got a little dry while waiting. Since I tried both set, the wagyu sukiyaki broth became a little too sweet at the end. My favorite is definitely the seafood sukiyaki broth. Would I try these pricy sukiyaki again? Probably not. Would I go back to Azayaka again? 100%. This would not discourage me from going back there any amount.
