    Spider roll

I've been here several times and this was honestly the first time I didn't like what I got. As always, my spicy crab roll was delicious. However, this time I tried their spider roll and it was horrible. The crab tastes old, looked off as well. They saturated it with so much of their special sauce it made it inedible. It was to the point where I ate one piece and had to spit it out. It's a shame because I like spider rolls from other sushi places, but I couldn't stomach this one.

Went on a Sunday for a lunch with my boy. Nice place. Got some miso soup, pineapple juice, philly roll, crazy jaguar roll and a yellowtail roll. All very tasty, service was awesome very friendly. Very much enjoyed all around will definitely be back

This was the new restaurant of the week and I was wanting some raw fish. The place is nice and I don't know if it's a modern theme decor with all the dark colors of black, dark grey and dark woods. They have a nice little bar next to the sushi kitchen. Service started good with quick seating, water and the menus. But as the meal progressed my server parked me on ignore and never came back until I waved her down for the check. I have a hand injury from a couple years ago so using chop sticks is next to impossible because the main finger doesn't work correctly so I needed a fork and after 5 minutes with my food sitting on the table I just got up and grabbed one myself. I would have the bbq calamari, spicy crab meat roll and the dynamite roll with yellow fin tuna. The presentation of the bbq calamari was spectacular because it was sliced and left whole whole with a sweet soy sauce thick glaze, how it's bbq I don't know. The rolls were average but the crab meat was the better one. The lack of attention by my server was a shame and they weren't very busy but she still got a 35% tip which was very generous for my experience.

(D)Hibachi Filet Mignon(9oz) and the hibachi shrimp. Also the Green Katana Cocktail.

Amazing experience! The crab rangoons were amazing and some of the best I've ever tried! We ordered the steak hibachi and shrimp hibachi and everything was great, wasn't the biggest fan of the rice but still everything was great and would go back! Also ordered the green katana cocktail and it was one of the best crafted cocktails I've had, id recommend trying one of their cocktails for sure!

Used to love this place but haven't had a chance to go since covid. I was a little disappointed. Having had been pretty much favorite sushi place in town, I brought a friend, hoping to show off great sushi in the greater Milwaukee area. Unfortunately she was under wowed, as was I. Hibachi steak - the lunch special hibachi was good and with good portions. But for a hibachi, I was hoping for a little less sweet - it felt a bit more like teriyaki than hibachi. Combination box - teriyaki shrimp was ok. 7 shrimp pieces atop a bed of what looked like canned or frozen vegetable medley. Gyoza prices looked more steamed than pan fried; they really need to be browned more. Spicy California rolls were great! I miss their old bento box, though, with tempura shrimp and better rolls. Soup - what used to be a miso soup, traditional and good, turned into an unidentifiable clear soup with green onions and mushroom. house salad - what I remember used to be delicious with hints of ginger became a very typical janapese house salad. Sooo... a bit disppointed.

The food and drinks were really good! The atmosphere was cool. The service was fast and friendly. Would go back.

    Steak Teriyaki
    Kim H.

Unfortunately the food was extremely bland. The steak and salmon had no seasoning it was just cooked in oil with a bland teriyaki sauce on top. The vegetables reminded us of just a steamed bag of veggies served under. Maybe we just had a bad experience but the manager was very insistent that people love the teriyaki and was shocked we didn't. It was a bit aggressive so we do not plan to return.

Tonight we celibate our daughter's 14th birthday, a ritual we have been doing for the past 10 years since moving to Brookfield. We have tried the other two sushi restaurants in the area, but this is by far the absolute best. Can't say anything but "we love it"

    Danica V.

Fujiyama is a great go-to sushi spot that my friends and I particularly enjoy. The pricing isn't bad at all, and the sushi is huge! I particularly like their sashimi dinners as well! Also on birthdays they turn on the cute disco lights and bring out icecream!

Didn't eat in but decided to order online and pick up my food. This Brookfield location has an easy way to order online using my iPhone. After placing the order I received 2 emails and a text message that the order was received, including an estimate time the order would be ready. I waited for another text or email to notify that my order was ready, which I didn't get, so a few minutes after the estimate time the order was ready I walked in and picked up my order. The spicy tuna included a salad and medium miso soup. Both soup and salad were good, not any different than at other sushi restaurants. The sushi has a large amount of wasabi and ginger. The sushi is alright, not bad, but not great. By ordering online I was charged and extra $0.99. Not a big deal, but worth mentioning. It takes about 30 minutes for an order to be ready.

This was my first time trying sushi and I enjoyed my experience at Fujiyama immensely. My party of five was seated promptly and visited by our server shortly after. Before delivering our food, the serve brought out warm towelettes for us to clean our hands. I had never experienced anything like this before. This sort of hospitality was really neat. Prior to eating the sushi, we had miso soup and a little salad. The flavors were so fresh and umami, it was unlike anything I had tasted. In terms of sushi, my party ordered the love boat and the sushi for two. The presentation was immaculate. I tried five different varieties of sushi and each piece was so unique and flavorful. The California Roll was by far my favorite. The eel was delicious too, which I was not expecting. The sashimi was so cold and fresh. Overall, my visit to Fujiyama was fun and interesting. I'm so glad I decided to try it out. The outside of the restaurant is pretty unassuming (it's in a strip mall), but once you're inside it feels high end. If you're looking to try sushi for the first time, this is a great place to visit. I'll most definitely be dining here again.
