This is the best and most entertaining hibachi restaurant I've ever been to. Their lunch menu is very affordable and a great portion size.

We have eaten here several times and always enjoy it. The staff is friendly and the chefs really are personable and put on a good show. We typically share the combo of steak and seafood (note there is a $7 charge for sharing, but that covers double the rice, soup, salad, and appetizer shrimp). The steak is always cooked perfectly (medium rare) and the lobster is never over-cooked. It can be a little pricey if you have several drinks, but it is definitely a good value for the food you get. We never can finish the whole plate between two us. Definitely recommend for families or large groups. read more

The house soup has tons of flavor. The salad is nothing special. The hibachi rice is so delicious! My friend's vegetables were served cold as they only "cooked" for literally 25 seconds because she is allergic to beef and therefore could not have them cooked on the grill once the beef was started. I ordered the sea scallops and shrimp. The shrimp were the most overcooked I've ever had. The scallops were tiny and tasted like they were spoiled. The chef used sooooo much garlic and it burned onto the scallops and had to be scraped off. My friend ordered lobster and scallops and was given 4 TINY pieces of each. My seafood portions were just as tiny. Thank goodness for the appetizers and fried rice that filled us up! The sushi was so loosely rolled that it was impossible to pick up without it falling apart. The dumplings were good. It's just "alright," in general, but, the soup and fried rice are yummy! read more

I cannot recommend this restaurant at all. We sat at a hibachi grill and before the chef even came out we notice how dirty the grill was. There was food on it as well as burnt on grease. Then I went to the bathroom and my shoes got so sticky on the bottom you could hear my every step for the rest of the night. The worst part was the food...it had absolutely no flavor or spices on it other than garlic. He overlooked everything. The shrimp were rubbery and our steak that was supposed to be medium well was burnt and inedible. What a disappointment. We eat Japanese food all the time in Ocala and it's always great. We only tried this place because we were meeting family that live in Spring Hill. I never dreamed it would be so bad. read more

Came by a few times for the hibachi and everything I was pleasantly greeted by the hostess and promptly seated. As I wait for others to arrive I normally order the California roll and a glass of Chardonnay. The roll is delicious, nothing to write home about. I like the filet mignon and chicken. Perfectly cooked and seasoned well. My only recommendation would be to have the vegetables in the beginning. I don't care for vegetables but will eat them with my meal. The chef has been funny and keeps the crowd entertain. Will definitely be back. read more

We went to celebrate a birthday in a large party. The service was a little discombobulated. Every one was decently nice and the grill chefs were funny. The food was not good. Everything's had tasted burnt and several others in the party had the same experience. This place totally ruined the start of date night for the wife and I. First the appetizer was totally gross, calamari should not taste like a used inner tube from a BMX bike. The main course was even worse, absolutely no flavor at all. The booth area was like a sauna, glad none of us decided to skip deodorant on this double date night. Unbelievable... the cook kept pushing food into the trash shoot and then would scoop it back up and mixed it with the hood NON CONTAMINATED food. I told the cook to stop it that I didn't want my food contaminated and he did it 3 more times. ARE YOU SERIOUS if you want to get salmonella by all means come here to eat. The owner is down right RUDE. Had to call the POLICE, to see what my rights are as a client, if I had the right to walk out without paying, I would have! It took 34 minutes for my sons kids meal to arrive after mine..after requesting to talk to manager, he did not offer any discount or acknowledge that his staff and he did wrong. Then he finally offered 10-15% off. When the tab came, it wasn't discounted. I talk to hiring manager, and she got into argument with him and he finally discounted the bill, a whopping 1.49! Will not support a business who won't admit that they were wrong, and gave us attitudes for their wrong. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. The rudest hibachi chef I have ever encountered. Disrespected a man at our table by chucking egg shells at him because he let the chef know there was a HUGE piece of shell in the eggs. We got up and walked out. Soon the rest of the table followed. My husband and I were hopeful as we pulled up. There were a decent number of cars in the parking lot for a Monday night. The restaurant is a good size so that made us hopeful too. Our waitress was fairly aloof, definitely not friendly. The miso soup was cold which was disappointing since my husband has never tried it and didn't want to try cold soup. My California rolls were okay but nothing special. My udon soup was incredibly bland and not at all good. My husband's $16 chicken teriyaki was watered down. Our bill was $32 for pretty unappetizing food. For that reason alone we will never go back but the mediocre service didn't help matters. Save your money, go somewhere else. read more

Wow this place sure went downhill fast. They were great when they opened; now it seems that they have new management and staff. Our hibachi chef was in a real hurry and our "show" took less than ten minutes as he practically flung the food onto our plates. Could not have been less enthusiastic either. I know doing the same thing ten times a night gets really old, but come on man, it's your job, and putting on a smile is part of the show. Once we caught our food (ha), the meat wasn't cooked how we ordered it. The noodles were drenched in sake, and the vegetables were as limp as a ragdoll. Also they've gotten more expensive since I was last there, which is saying something since they weren't cheap the first time. I guess if you want Japanese in Spring Hill go to...Wasabi? That place isn't great either but it's a notch above this place and is cheaper. PROS: Decor is still nice? CONS: Too many to list. VERDICT: Just don't go. read more

We've been back a few times since my last review and I just wanted to update that this is my go-to for hibachi in Hernando County if I'm having a craving but don't want to make the drive to Tampa. I've tried Wasabi, Haiku, e-Sushi, etc... It's not great, but it's not bad either. Although the service was excellent, the hair on the chicken and dirty grill right after they opened made me wonder. We were there 1/2 hour after they opened and there was old rice on the grill. This made me wonder if it had been there since the night before. Overlooking that, the food was mediocre at best, we won't be back. There are better Japanese restaurants in Brooksville. FOOD POISONING. I hate to write a bad review. For the record, this is my first 1 star. I recently ate here with my siblings and parents, as we were in town for a quick trip, visiting our parents. First, I witnessed the chef place raw meat onto the stove with the spatula, then moved directly over to the rice, and started serving it. I cringed when I saw that and mentioned something to my family. They shrugged it off and told me I was overreacting. We ate and went back to the house, but when midnight rolled around, my sister woke up with a violent case of food poisoning. Vomiting and diarrhea all night long that continued into the next day. She was gravely ill and almost had to be admitted for fluids. We only had 4 days with our parents, and her trip was completely ruined because of this experience. read more

Visiting my parents in the area and they have been excited to take us to this restaurant because they know we are huge sushi and Japanese food lovers. The ambience definitely leaves a lot to be desired, the entire restaurant was freezing cold to the point of discomfort (for all 4 ppl in our party), the service was cold as well and unfriendly, and the pricing was very high. After assessing this whole situation for about 10 minutes we actually decided to get up and leave. And we were SO hungry, this wasn't easy to do. Teppan yaki steakhouse in Brooksville (Hibachi is charcoal grill). I have been here twice and the teppan yaki (I had steak) was as good as anything in California. Second trip was for dinner and the tempura was tender and crispy. Perfect. Service was top notch as well. Very friendly and attentive. I eat slowish due to jaw issues and I can see the managers staring me down so I will leave the hibachi grill faster so they can sit new people. This is mine and my husbands favorite place to eat. I wish it was a little more inexpensive because we'd go there a lot more. The food is so good. Better than a chain Japanese restaurant. I love the salad and soup. The rice with the white yum yum sauce is my favorite. I could get that in place of even the meat! They are always friendly. And the chefs are always so funny. Place is bearable at most. I gave it 2 stars because I didn't try the hibachi section. Do yourself a favor though and go to the e sushi bar and grill on county line, much better quality food and portions for the same price. I ordered the chicken katsu and it came with only chicken and a small fried rice. At E sushi bar and grill, you get it with vegetables, hefty portions of chicken, and a complimentary appetizer if you go at dinner time. You get no assistance at the dine in section, I think our server came back once to the table and it was to give us the check. Prices are too high for the lousy portions. Omg we made reservations and had to wait an hour regardless, food was ok; however, service and wait was horrendous.

Went here for our anniversary and it was a pleasant experience, they start you off with a miso soup with mushrooms in it then a salad with a sesame ginger dressing then you can choose what type of food you want or meat rather a bit pricy as we spent 60 for toe people and that was with a buy one get one 50% off but worth every penny the yum yum sauce is so good spicy like horseradish but soooo good!
