The sandwich was nearly $22, so I expected the delivery experience to be reasonably reliable. My order was placed at 11:06 a.m., and the app clearly indicated that it would be delivered by 12:00 p.m. Then I waited... and waited... and waited. At 11:45 a.m., I checked the app and discovered that my order still showed as "in progress." I tried texting the courier listed on the order and received no response. I called the number provided, but the phone didn't even ring to anyone. Thinking the app might simply be glitchy, I logged into my account on my desktop computer. There was still no useful information. My order showed as "in progress," but now there was a different courier name listed. I called that number as well--again, the number wasn't valid. Finally, I called the Firehouse Subs location that was supposed to prepare my order. A young man looked up my order and told me that Uber Eats had already picked it up. First of all, I had no idea Uber Eats was handling my delivery. Had I known that was the only delivery service being used, I would not have placed the order. Then came the unbelievable part. The employee told me, "Uh oh, looks like someone stole your sandwich." He offered to make me another sandwich if I wanted to come pick it up myself. At this point, my app suddenly showed that my original sandwich had been delivered. Delivered to whom? Because it certainly wasn't delivered to me. From the confusing and apparently unreliable Firehouse Subs app, to nonexistent courier phone numbers, to an order being handed off to Uber Eats without making that clear, and ultimately having a $22 sandwich disappear, this was an incredibly frustrating experience. Unfortunately, this was my first and last Firehouse Subs delivery. I never even got to try the sandwich my husband has been raving about.

The Sunday special where a kid meal is $1.99 with the purchase of an adult meal has become a once a month treat. Having the app also has exposed to other unique offerings and their newest menu addition too. They've been doing a lot of solid digital marketing in the general vicinity as well and I often find great value offerings through that channel as well. Most recently that was discovering the 20 piece boneless Hall, which for $10 was enough to feed both of my kids or me a little snack and one of the kids as well. I think they need some work unless I say something specifically I feel like I always get the end of the bachelorette prize they're warm, not hot but they're limp and often quite greasy if I ask them well done or Crispy I feel like they get overcooked so I just don't know at this point how to best enjoy the french fries here. All that service is always 100% and the staff is always able to put a smile on your face. My kids ripped through the sauces and the staff never hesitate to hook them up with extra one or two and they always treat them with the same respect, they would treat us at the counter, which I greatly appreciate.
