We stopped by Full Belly Deli during our Reno trip and ordered the Biscuits & Gravy Burrito--which absolutely lived up to the hype. I was genuinely impressed by how much food they managed to fit into one burrito: fried yolky eggs, sausage gravy, hash browns, and even a biscuit tucked inside. Somehow it all worked together really well, and every bite was just as good as the last. It was more than enough for me and my twelve-year-old to share comfortably. We also tried the gyro wrap, which was decent and generously portioned with plenty of protein, but compared to the burrito, it felt a little underwhelming. Not bad at all--just not the thing I'd come back for. We later found out the deli was featured on Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, and I can see why. In fact, we actually tried to come back a couple days later for another Biscuits & Gravy Burrito, only to realize they're closed on Sundays--so plan ahead. WOW! Talk about a great sandwich! My husband and I are huge sandwich people and my sister had recommended Full Belly on multiple occasions. A group of 4 of us stopped in a little after 1:30. They have a parking lot which wasn't completely full and once we got inside there were only two people in front of us and plenty of indoor seating. When it was our turn to order, I told the employee I was having a hard time deciding between the tri tip sandwich and the turkey pesto sandwich. He told me they were able to do a half size of both and I was sold! You can choose what type of bread for your sandwich and they have some great options. The tri tip was very good and I loved the bleu cheese! The turkey pesto was absolutely amazing! I'm not usually a fan of roasted red peppers but those really elevated the sandwich. I haven't stopped into Full Belly in a long time, and never this location. Reno Food and Drink Week brought me back. FB was one of the select restaurants picked to participate in the dining experience. They did not disappoint. Right of the bat, as I walked in on a Friday at 11 am I was cheerfully greeted. And walked through the RFDW selections. I went with the hummus turkey sandwich on rye to go. The fresh made to order sandwich was huge- lots of layers of thin tender turkey with a generous smear of house made hummus and fresh veggies. I was full the rest of the day. Hence the totally appropriate name Full Belly Deli. Inside has a large seating area, outside a small patio area. Street parking and a shared lot. I got the fnd breakfast burrito, was very good and very small compared to the way the show it on a show, trust me it was small. Then they charged me for a salsa for their breakfast burrito it should come with one, I understand charging for more then one salsa, for this isn't a Mexican food establishment. Salsa was whatever. This burrito could have been 4.5 maybe a 5 if the had a little more meat or made the same size as they portrait on the show. Gyro for lunch sounds great. It's a good sandwich shop for breakfast or lunch and yes they have gyros. Warm pita, lamb and beef gyro meat, fresh lettuce and tzatziki sauce. It was a very good sandwich. Order at the counter and listen for your name. Many drink and chip options to add to your plate. It didn't take long even though it was packed. Oh man! This place is a two minute walk from my work, and I don't know how I haven't been there before. First, I apologize in advance for the photos, I got far too excited to take photos before eating. I ordered from their website which is phenomenal and allowed me to make SO MANY customizations. I ordered a breakfast burrito (in a bowl) and a salad for lunch however, upon arriving and sampling their summer elote corn soup I got an order of that to go also. For breakfast I got the Garden Gnar burrito in a bowl. I opted out of the Kale and added plain tofu, fried avocado, black beans and smoked cheddar, with a crispy hashbrown. The tofu was surprisingly crispy and such a nice texture. The fried avocado was also crispy on the outside but luscious on the inside. It comes with a southwest sauce that was tangy and delicious. For lunch I got the half Chopped Salad which was huge, I can't imagine how big the full one is. I subbed the meat for BBQ tofu (again super crispy) and added avocado, and black beans. They only up charged .75 for avocado WOW! The salad also came with croutons, tomatoes, feta, roasted red peppers, and Italian dressing. The BBQ tofu was sweet in a good way and there was a little drizzle of sauce over the salad. It was such a yummy filling salad, I think I could have shared it with two people so the full salad must feed an army. The corn soup came with cotija cheese and a small sprinkle of Tajin on it. This soup is so rich and creamy, perfectly sweet, smooth but with whole kernels of corn too. I will order this alllll the time! My pick up order was ready very quick, they texted me to let me know it was ready. When I walked in my food was on a little pick up shelf and the staff quickly gave me a bag to carry it back to work. The staff was all super friendly and attentive. Around the corner from the cash register is a station with napkins, utensils, and condiments to go, so you can pack your own bag. I will be returning here often given how much customization I can do to make things vegetarian but still protein packed. I'm totally stuffed but eyeballing the rest of my soup. read more

Disappointing experience... because of counter girl who was rude, loud and shrill, calling people "my loves" (please stop that, it's phony) and she was very bossy. (Young, dark hair in braids, I think.) Changed everything the people in front of us wanted, and made fun of them to a coworker because they took a minute to read the menu - and she wanted them to order as soon as they walked in. I stopped by Full Belly Deli today and ordered a BLT on gluten-free bread, and wow, they delivered in all the right ways! First of all, let's talk about the bacon--thick, crispy, and absolutely perfect. None of that flimsy stuff that disappears in two bites; this was the kind of bacon dreams are made of. The gluten-free bread was on point too, holding up like a champ under all those layers of bacon-y goodness, fresh lettuce, and ripe tomatoes. It's not easy to find gluten-free options that actually taste good, but they nailed it. Bonus points for the super friendly staff and quick service. For my breakfast I got the Breakfast B.L.T on Sourdough and an Everything Bagel with Cranberry Cream Cheese. The sandwich was good, but just needed a few tweaks. The egg was very overcooked and was easily overlooked in this sandwich. The spicy mayo was VERY spicy. It overpowered the whole sandwich instead of elevating it. The bagel itself was good, but the cranberry cream cheese was extremely tart to the point of almost being unbeatable. The inside is very spacious and finding a table was easy! They have so many options on the menu that I couldn't decide so the lady at the counter was kind enough to give me some good suggestions and my fiancé and I both got the Durka Durka on Jalapeño bread and I added the spinach salad. The Durka Durka was so good but I wouldn't order the Jalapeño bread again because it was greasy and honestly made the sandwich a little too spicy for my liking. The spinach salad was so good! The most underrated place to get a breakfast burrito in all of Reno/Truckee! I've been coming for sandwiches for awhile but the breakfast burritos are just as good! I've also had the bagels and those are better than most bagel shops in town too. The service is always great and they have plenty of parking and clean space to eat.
