Was there on 12/16/11 with my wife. Made the treck from Hillsboro. It's a nice little place right off 84. The service was friendly, very polite, and prompt. The food was GREAT! Just tried Full Moon Thai for the first time after seeing it open and then...great reviews on Yelp. The verdict: awesome! The beef larb is SO good, also beef salad, both ordered medium spicy- perfect for me, perhaps a bit spicy for the fainter hearts in the house. Super fresh and hot (super, as in fresh out of the fryer) appetizers- nothing ground breaking but delish and fresh. We had everything delivered- they were polite and great on the phone and said "about 15 minutes"- they weren't kidding. Absolutely, about 17 minutes from ordering to our door- basically, fabulous, fresh and fast. Oh, and affordable! Our new fave for sure. read more

Since Wild Tiger closed in Hollywood, this is now the next-closest Thai restarant to where I live, and I've been meaning to try it for a while. I dropped in for lunch today and had the Pad See Ew lunch special, and it was outstanding! The quality and quantity of the food as well as the price were all excellent. Service: fantastic. Food: Out of this world good. They let you spice your own thai food so that it doesn't come out too spicy from the kitchen. I think that is brilliant. I've ordered delivery from this place a few times and it's always been great. The online delivery service can sometimes be a bit overcomplicated, but it works out. The pad thai, eggplant stir fry, and basil fried rice are delicious. The delivery guy (I've only had the one each time) is always super friendly and arrives relatively quickly. Just 1 thing to note: the spice level can be kind of unpredictable. The first 2 times I ordered, I got a medium spice which was some of the spiciest food I've ever eaten. I'm from Texas and put hot sauce/chili flakes/cayenne on EVERYTHING, so that's saying something. The third time I ordered, I also got a medium, but it wasn't spicy at all. Still delicious, but not spicy. May have been a fluke, but if you can't handle spicy things, go with the most mild option just to be safe. read more

This place is everything I want in both Thai and a delivery experience. They were the first place that my exhausted post-move household called for our first meal in a new neighborhood, and the customer service was impeccable. Each time we have ordered since, sporadically at that, we are met such friendly service you'd think we were friends of the family. The delivery man even recalls our first meal, and checks in on our cats and how we like the 'new' digs. On top of all this warm fuzzy, the food is amazing and very consistent. Walked in at 8pm as happy hour started then. Server immediately informed us that they are closing at 9 and wanted to make sure that was ok. It caught us off guard, but worked out ok for this Sunday night. Split the Pad Kee Mao and the Pumpkin Curry. Good amount of food for 2 people. No leftovers. Not much spice, but decent taste. As a relative Thai snob in this Thai-saturated city, I was skeptical of trying and possibly being disappointed by another lackluster Thai restaurant. Much to my surprise, however, Full Moon Thai was incredibly delicious. The prices are low, the servings are large, and the noodles aren't greasy. About a year and a half ago, I had the best Thai food I've ever experienced anywhere, right here at Full Moon Thai. However the more recent times I've gone, they no longer make their food beautiful with the lovely presentation of carrot flowers and such, but more importantly, the food isn't as spicy and doesn't taste like it has the same high quality. Wasn't sure if I wanted to try this place out. In the 3 years that I've been here, there've been at least 7 businesses in this location, so I figured this would be another short-lived endeavor. I decided to give it a chance. It wouldn't be fair to hold the location's unsuccessful history against them. Holy Crap! Soooo glad I tried it! My family stopped here for a last minute supper tonight. Food was fresh and served hot! Fried tofu and fresh veggie spring rolls were good according to my vegetarian daughter. Extra peanut sauce on the House was much appreciated! The Tom Kah soup was excellent with shrimp that were not overdone. We also had well spiced chicken larb and pork pad Thai. Asked for additional bean sprouts for the pad Thai (my one complaint- they were skimpy) and that was no problem. We'll be back! read more

Amazing! I have been to Thailand, and this is the most authentic Thai restaurant I have seen so far! The food was so fresh! The vegetables were cooked to perfection, al dente, crispy carrots, no mushy overcooked vegetables... oh my. I ordered the Pumpkin Lovers Stir Fry, even the rice tasted cooked to order. My man had one of their specials, a Thai soup with pork, and he was very impressed. I had the best Fresh Rolls I have ever had at a Thai restaurant, their peanut sauce was different from most, and so much tastier! The menu was impressive, it had all the Thai dishes you expect, plus so many more interesting and mouth-watering plates. And the service was great, the family is from Thailand, I saw their baby son running around the front of the restaurant, just like in Thailand! They even served us a traditional Thai dessert, free of charge, that was perhaps the most delicious little treat I've ever tasted. We went the other night to try a new Thai place...let's face it....you could probably eat at a different Thai place every night of the week for months here in Portland...anyway, my chicken pad thia was to die for and my partner's vegetarian - rice dinner was equally as good. Thai that delivers! And super quick. They were at my place in less than 30 minutes. My friend loved her cashew chicken. It's a bit non traditional all around. I had Tom Yum soup and basil eggplant with shrimp. The soup was ok. Not great. A bit to sweet for my taste. The basil eggplant was good. Flavorful brown sauce. Rice comes with it which is nice. On a street with several Thai restaurant options, Full Moon Thai really stands out! My husband is a big fan of Thai food and has been bugging me to go here with him since it opened and I'm so glad that we finally had a chance to try it out. The prices were great and I liked that the vegetarian and meat options were equally affordable. We had the tom kha soup and yellow curry (medium spicy) and the temperature was perfect and the quality and freshness of the ingredients were outstanding. We enjoyed every bite! The staff and service were wonderful and the restaurant is in a cute space offering a nice refuge from the hustle and bustle of Broadway. This is definitely one of our new favorites and we'll return again soon! read more

I have eaten at the Full Moon several times with a different meal each time. Each meal was wonderful with flavor and usually spiced the way I wanted it. Portions are enough for large appetites and each has plenty of what is said to be in that dish. While the exterior needs some sprucing up - and I've been told that will happen - the interior is neat, clean and inviting. The service is great, fast and friendly even when its busy. The price can't be beat for such good food in such a pleasant ambiance and friendly service. read more

Personally I  think they are no that great!! I was using this service quite often when I was working in this area,  and did not have so much time to go grocery shopping or to go and sit down for dinners, so I would order to go. The only thing is good is the Gluten Free items, everybody is trying to eat more healthily now, so whenever I can I choose gluten free options. But on the other hand  their customer service is not that good... they lack customer service skills, and, then there seems to be always some kind of issue, they tend to forget something in the order, ..also even if they they say the waiting time is just 10 minutes, usually it takes much longer. What I really think that is annoying is that they tend put the cold food items with the warm items, and so the cold get warm and soggy, and the warm food ends getting almost cold, like the side dishes get totally killed if placed beside a hot dish.  I also think prices are a little too high, considering the poor customer service, and the quality in which food is handled, however, it is good and comfortable to be able to get good food either delivered to your office or to take out  when you don't feel like going out or do not have the physical time, and the food is good!!! read more

Absolutely 1st rate. I've been in this neighborhood nearly 20 years, and this corner of 34th & Broadway has been many, many restaurants over the years. The last one, Broadway Rose, lasted a month, maybe 3. The last good restaurant was Lagniappe, 5 or 6 years ago. So when some neighborhood friends told us that Full Moon Thai was good, we thought we'd better check it out fast. It turns out that this is about the best Thai I've had in this neighborhood, and there are a LOT of Thai restaurants on NE Broadway. We started with the fried tofu served with peanut plum sauce and the shrimp tempura. The tempura batter wasn't what you would normally think of, but it was good. There was also tempura carrots, mushrooms and really good broccoli. The tofu was good, and an excellent way to enjoy the peanut plum sauce. My husband had the crab fried rice, asking for no onion, and no onion was served (that's a problem we often encounter). He really enjoyed it. I had Mussamun Curry with chicken, served with steamed rice, and it was just first rate. I'm not a huge fan of spicy curries, and this one was very mild, with the flavor of the coconut milk shining, and the chopped peanuts adding a welcome crunch. The potatoes, carrots and onion were perfectly cooked. We both had to ask for to-go boxes. With the check, the owner (I'm assuming) brought us a sample of a dish that he couldn't translate into English...it was a jelly topped with a layer of smooth coconut. It was almost sweet, and almost salty, and I really liked it. My husband didn't care for it. The atmosphere in the restaurant was relaxing, the furnishings and colors pleasing. My husband said the silverware was good (one of his criteria - if the silverware is cheap, the restaurant probably is, too). Service was excellent. I truly hope that Full Moon Thai can overcome the jinx that seems to be on NE 34th and Broadway, because I'd really like to be able to have it so close by. read more

My wife and I had an awful experience here. We went there a couple of weeks ago for dinner, and we sat outside. Apparently, they had a lot of take out orders, because we saw a lot of people going in and out with takeaway. A man came out and poured us water and left. We waited for like another 15 minutes, and he came out and apologized, then took our orders. It says on the menu that they're gluten free and vegan friendly. I ordered the pad Thai and asked for it vegan. He went back inside and we waited for at least 40-45 minutes until our food arrived. My wife had to meet a friend, so she had to leave. When our food finally arrived, I asked the server for a to go box for my wife, but since I was starving and had already waited for soooooo long, I decided to eat it there. The food is very good, but the service, at least in our case was awful. As I was eating, I noticed that there was egg in the supposedly "vegan friendly" meal. As I went inside to pay, I was going to leave a tip, but since the woman at the counter couldn't so much as say thank you, I crossed it off on the receipt and just paid for the meal. I understand if you're short handed, and maybe this was an isolated incident, but I can only speak about the first and last time I'll ever try this place. read more
