Upon entering, I first scope out the parking lot to confirm it has space enough for my big truck. 2nd, I check out the location, an ease of finding this dentist. Super easy to locate as it's well labeled with signage. I walk in, immediately notice how clean it is, and greeted by Mrs. Patel. I start my intake on a tablet, and then a young lady Martha calls me back for Xrays. All was super simply, within 30 minutes! I finally meet the dentist, Dr.Patel. He is a kind, & gentle man that reviews your Xrays and explains to you the options. I have to say, this is my second opinion dentist. What I found out, I had more then one option vs my previous dentist that I was with for over 20 years!!! I am so glad I took the leap of faith and checked this place out. I start my deep cleaning tomorrow and then second at. YES, Im one of those procrastinator's. They got me in before year end. I am so happy that I have choices and it wasn't all doom and gloom. Please read this review as I am not sure how many are authentic. I have Delta Dental insurance through Costco. Even with that insurance, Fullerton Dental Art was charging me $148 PER QUADRANT for a Dental deep cleaning, totaling $592 all together. They then told me that I am lucky to have Delta Dental because the procedure costs $1300 for people without insurance. Still, I didn't feel lucky having to come up with nearly $600 for this procedure. After giving it some time and thought, I ended up deciding to get a second opinion before spending that kind of money. I then went to Dr. Nandini Murthy DDS (only a few miles away from Fullerton Dental Art) a month later for said second opinion. Not only did Dr. Murthy charge me nearly half as much as Fullerton Dental Art ($88 per quadrant instead of $148 per quadrant) but she told me that only 2 quadrants needed a deep cleaning, not 4. Nothing changed in that month, my insurance remained exactly the same. I still continued to brush and floss twice a day as I always had. Fullerton Dental Art was simply gouging me for more money and trying to get as much money as they could by raising the price beyond the cost given by my insurance company, and charging me for TWICE the work that was needed. I would give them -5 stars if I could. Avoid them at all cost. read more

I came here for a teeth cleaning, and Mr. Patel and his team were extremely thorough. They educated me about the procedures, which made me feel comfortable with their recommendations. They discovered a cavity I had and took great care of it. I highly recommend coming to this place. One thing I loved the most was that Martha, one of the assistants, provided pricing information before we even continued with the initial exam. Let me start off by saying I am not a huge fan of going to the dentist as I haven't had very many pleasant experiences in the past. With that being said, the hospitality and knowledge that was shown at Fullerton Dental Art exceeded my expectation by far. With COVID going on they are going above and beyond to ensure that their clients are well taken care of and the facility is clean and ready for use. I had to call the facility before entering to ensure their weren't other patients inside, they screen you and take your temperature, and the staff all wear masks. Dr. Patel and his assistant, Teresa, were very welcoming, informative and seemed to genuinely care for myself as a patient. I couldn't be more pleased to be going back here for my procedure. I'm giving this place 3 stars because of (Palavi) the receptionist. She will lie and suck as much money out of you that she can!!! I was charged beyond belief for some cavities I had filled, later called my insurance and found out I was charged $200 EXTRA for each tooth! Be careful with her and make sure to call your insurance .. The quality of care here is amazing! And the dentist are great , but it hinders the experience when a billing receptionist is trying to suck money out of your pocket . read more

Every time I come here, I have had a pleasant experience. Everyone is nice and friendly and accommodating. They even schedule your appointment at once if it is an urgent issue. The doctors are very experienced and professional. I have had fillings done and it was done very quickly and efficiently. They even follow up a few days later to make sure that everything is going smoothly and if for some reasons the fillings need adjustment, the appointment is scheduled at once to take care of it. They even send you multiple reminders about the appointment. It is very difficult to find such a great customer service elsewhere and I would high recommend them for your dental services. read more

Thank you Dr. Patel and friendly staff for fixing a tooth that has been a problem for years!! I had a crown fall off of a tooth and Dr. Patel re-cemented it. Now that may not sound impressive but I have been struggling with this tooth FOR YEARS (he didn't do the crown) I haven't been able to chew on that tooth since it was put on. He took an X-ray of the tooth without the crown to see if there was any damage, there wasn't. Im very disappointed, by my experience I went in for a cleaning, before i moved states. Granted, I hate flossing, and I haven't been to the dentist for a couple years. But my teeth don't hurt. I was shocked and deeply upset when the dentist said I need to see a specialist for 3 possible root canals , even though my teeth don't hurt. I went to a another dentist for a second opinion. He said that definitely have a deep cavity, on one tooth, close to the nerve, but the nerve doesn't have any infection/inflammation and it could be treated without a root canal. He says that the other 2 teeth would definitely not need a root canal. One doesn't even have a cavity. And if i got one it would be 100% unnecessary And that the reason they recommend 3 unnecessary root canals is because i have an HMO , and moving. So they are taking advantage of the time urgency , and are trying to get as much money out of my pocket as possible. Shame on you for fear mongering!!!! I absolutely love this office! I've been coming here for year's and they are the best in the business. I moved and went to another dentist near me. BIG MISTAKE! They were going to charge me $4000 for things I didn't need. I instantly called this office and saw them today and I was so happy!! The dentist did a thorough exam and went over the X-rays and pictures and told me step by step what we can do. Martha was so friendly and I was very relaxed and things went smoothly. Introduction: So another place that I don't normally bother to write a review on are Dentists. Why? Simply because what is there to write about but usually negative feedbacks. Well, when I met Pallavi, Norma and Dr. Patel today, it's a whole different story. Customer Service: 5/5 Exceptional! Pallavi welcomed both my friend and I with open arms the minute we walked in. As new patients to this location, we were both impressed. Then, when we met Norma, aka: the Tech gal, who took our x-rays, etc, we were even more blown away. Norma was comforting, friendly, accommodating, more importantly, handled us with care. Last but not least, we met the big dog, Dr. Patel himself and our great experience just shot off the roof. Dr. Patel was also super friendly and accommodating. However, Dr. Patel left us an refreshing impression. HONEST! Dr. Patel informed me that since I took care of my teeth and hygiene so carefully, all I needed was a basic cleaning. Wow! I was expecting a story that I needed this and that done to me. Like a lot of other shady dentists that's trying to meet quotas at the patient's expense. Price: 5/5 We currently have a pretty cheesy benefit that I was not aware of. Considering what I have in place, the price was pretty good based on what was being done to us. Quality: 5/5 It was painless and easy. In addition, Norma did an outstanding job flossing and cleaning my teeth that I walked out feeling immaculate. But what made their work quality is that both Norma and Dr. Patel are super knowledgeable. They identified that I grind my teeth at night and that I floss regularly. They hit it on the dot, but no one has identified these. Because they can identify my behaviors, I trust that they can help me better. Therfore, makes their work quality. Get the drift? Cleanliness: 5/5 The place was spotless and everything was clean and organized. I also observe both Dr. Patel and Norma changes their gloves and necessary plastic covers on the tools regularly. As a patient, I appreciate that. As a new patient, I am coming back for sure. With all these new diseases that can easily spread through salivas these days, I truly appreciate these extra precautions this dental office is taking. Atmosphere: 5/5 Three words! I LOVE IT! Quiet, no crying babies, not crowded and super calm. Like a Library calm. I always feel intense at a dentist anyway, so these types of environment helps. I am an idiot. I am also an adult-baby when it comes to handling tough situations or pain. I have been experiencing tooth pain and gum worries for a few years now, mostly because I hate the dentist due to years and years of horrible experiences every time I go. I'd rather have back surgery again than go in for my teeth cleaning so you can imagine the state of my mouth when I finally bit the bullet and made an appointment. I called Fullerton Dental Art on a closed day, left a message about what I needed and then expected someone to call me the next day, when they were open. To my surprise, I received a call almost immediately and after some phone tag, I had an appointment for the next morning at 9 AM. TIME TO FREAK OUT! After a night of worrying and some breakfast skipping, I showed up at my appointment at 8:45 and was let in immediately as they were waiting for me. Filled out the paperwork, explained that I was scared s*#tless and was taken to the exam chair by Norma, one of the hygienists there I think. I explained to Norma how scared I was and how disgusting I left my teeth were. Norma, who is literally the kindest person I have ever met right off the bat, told me to not be so silly and not worry about what my teeth looked like now - the important part was that I was in the chair taking care of it. You have no idea how nice this was to hear! Even though I know she was lying at that my teeth were really that bad, just having someone be kind put some of my anxiety down (for now). When Dr. Dhanya came in for the exam, I explained to her I was really scared to be there and ashamed of what my teeth looked like. She was also very amazing at putting my fears to rest. She actually talked to me about what it was that scared me and promised to help me with that during the procedure. We took x-rays, pictures, measured my gums and then got to work. I'll spare you the vulgar details about what I went through but I'm so grateful to Norma, Dr. Dhanya and everyone at Fullerton Dental Art for taking such good care of me. Norma held my hand during the hard parts and wiped away some tears for me and Dr. Dhanya paused when I needed it and didn't make me feel ashamed at being an adult-baby. Now I'm on the road to having good teeth and I owe it all to the staff at Fullerton Dental Art. If you're like me and hate the dentist/are scared out of your mind, come here. Fullerton Dental Art is definitely the best dental practice to visit in the area. The staff is quite friendly and doesn't try to rush you in and out like other dental offices. Right when you walk in you are greeted warmly by the office manager Pallavi and she takes her time to get to know you and help you with what you need and treat you right and not just another patient. Dr Patel and his dental staff are also quite amazing, patient and thorough with their work. Dr Patel is a gentle dentist that takes his time when cleaning and checking your teeth and explains what he is doing and why it is necessary throughout the procedure. He's so good that I brought my mother to see Dr Patel and after her first visit, she was quite impressed. SCAM ALERT!!! I visited Fullerton Dental Art after finding their information on my Insurance Company's website. I also visited Yelp. I emailed the dentist asking if they were accepting new patients & provided them with my personal & insurance info in the initial email. I brushed it off when asked two more times for my Insurance info, which I repeatedly responded with. Upon arrival the woman at the front desk appeared friendly (I believe she is the dentist's wife). She shook my hand, introduced herself & I gave her my pre-printed new patient forms that I filled out in advance. The interaction was a awkward when she then went back to her work & never said if I needed check in or have a seat. After standing at the desk for a moment I asked if I should sit & she said yes. At one point she apologized for the wait & I commented that I was not in too much of a hurry (big mistake!). There was only one other patient in the office, that was lying in an exam chair, so I'm not sure what the wait was for. From the seating area, you can view the hallway to the exam 'rooms' through a door left open the entire length of my visit. I say 'rooms' because the 3 stations were divided by cubical walls, they were not enclosed. You could view everything from the seating area. When you're laying down in the chair, your head partially sticks out into the hallway. Once in the dental chair the hygienist was friendly & explained how they were going to measure the pockets between my gums and teeth. She explained the importance of looking for early signs of gum disease & stated how bacteria can flow into your bloodstream. She admitted she didn't know how or why that happened, but that it did & that it was bad. RED FLAG! I mentioned to the hygienist how I have not been to a dentist in a few years due to lack of insurance which she relayed to the dentist. I was repeatedly shamed for this during my visit by both of them. After x-rays the hygienist took photos of my teeth with a scanning wand, the photos were displayed on a screen in front of the dental chair. There was some distortion in the images & the hygienist volunteered info that the wand was cracked, but that they were too expensive to replace. RED FLAG! After the x-rays and images the dentist came over and stated #'s aloud to the hygienist which she typed into the computer as he evaluated each gum pocket. The dentist stated that my insurance covered $1,500 each year & that I should make sure to use it every year, "because it's basically free money." RED FLAG! Why have work done that I didn't need? The dentist did not believe that I had 1 filling-which even I could see on the x-rays. I had to convince him, telling him that my previous dentist of 20+ years and had sealed it to look like part of my tooth. I explained that my back molars were all sealed & he repeatedly told me I was wrong. I'm not sure how he couldn't see the work, or why he would argue with me. Why would I lie about work I had done in the past? From there the hygienist and the dentist left me to sit in the chair to 'check my benefits.' I waited over 20 minutes while they both came back multiple times to raise & lower my chair while I waited. This happened a 1/2 doz times over the visit, each time they stated that they wanted to make sure I was comfortable. I was practically sea sick from going up & down. After 20+ minutes the front desk woman sat next to me with paperwork & claimed the dentist found 13 cavities! That's almost half my teeth! If that were true I would have noticed or at least been in some pain!! I was in shock. I had been at the office for an hour and a half and no one mentioned or began a cleaning (which I requested in my initial email). The paperwork showed that the 13 supposed cavities would be paid by $1500 from my insurance and an additional $500+ out of pocket. I informed her that I only wanted a cleaning & exam and I would have to think about any additional work & that I was confused why they weren't doing that. She was very pushy and kept reviewing the paperwork. She stated I needed a deep cleaning & that they would need to provide sedation, but only after I had the cavities taken care of. She repeaditly denied my request for a cleaning. I walked out. I received a voicemail 5 days later asking when I was coming in for a cleaning. I have not contacted the dentist back. I immediately contacted my insurance company to file a complaint & dispute this dentists insurance claim. I found a new dentist that my coworker recommended & had a 5 star experience. He took care of my cleaning & provided a free exam since this once had already used my yearly insurance allowance. TURNS OUT I DON'T HAVE ANY CAVITIES!!! BEWARE!! read more

I was looking for a new dentist because my last one was awful. This dental office is great they are very up to date. They walk you through everything that needs to be done, they aren't over priced and they take their time. They use a camera that goes in your mouth to show you each tooth from all sides so you see what they see, it was pretty cool. Plus you have your own tv to watch while they work on your teeth. Another local dentist said that I would have both "eye" teeth pulled and replaced plus a lot of other work such as fillings and crowns. Since this would involve a lot of pain and money I decided to get a second opinion. So, I came to Dr. Patel. He agree about the fillings and crowns but disagreed about my front teeth needing to be pulled. Dr. Patel referred me to a local endodontist and between the two of them, they were able to save my teeth and put crowns there instead of pulling them. There were a few times during treatment that Dr. Patel was able to put in fillings instead of crowns, saving me hundreds of dollars. Dr. Patel and his wife and office manager Pallavi are fine people and make a great team to work with in getting my dental work done with the least amount of pain possible along with saving me money along the way.
