Visited the new shack today. We used to be in love, like seriously in love, with the food truck. My last review was about 5 years ago after our first visit and we were blown away. It had the best fries covered in this amazing herb salt, the best grilled cheese, everything came out hot and delicious every time. Unfortunately, I cant say the same of the shack. The food came out cold, the fries were crispy but barely any seasoning, and my sunny side egg on my tots brunch meal had runny whites. Husband has always gotten the lump crab grilled cheese and he even noticed it felt like there was less crab in it this time. Still good, but again, it came out lukewarm. The staff is wonderful, the new location is odd but kinda a vibe. You can get day passes to the pool which is a cool concept. Just disappointed with the food as an OG fan of the funk.

Really cool place. Food was great, live music, and our server was awesome. Highly recommend

Parking to the left of the pool and bar (behind photo direction) seems unusual but highly functional and safe.

The food is remarkable. Service was fantastic and the ambience was down home. This is a hidden gem that deserves to be on diners, drive-ins and dives. I hope to confirm a visit from a relative that has a little Pool at the network... just a little pool tho. (LoL)

this place was delish! i went on a whim by myself and got to sit outside. my waitress was kind and attentive. the poke bowl i got was very tasty, maybe just a bit too much sauce for my liking (overall so good still). i also got the cajun fries and those were bomb. highly recommend coming here if you're in the area!

Lindsey and Megan are AMAZING, despite the long negative dissertation that someone previously wrote. The sliders and grilled cheese sandwich are freaking insanely delicious! Best customer service ever and very clean. Mike and his wife who monitors the parking lot are so kind. A must stop here destination for sure!

Excellent food, various delicious flavor profiles, and extra friendly and attentive staff. Definitely worth a visit, and we will be going back.

Funkadelic Food Shack -- St. Augustine, you've outdone yourself! Laura & Deidra officially declare this place a whole vibe. After coming back two days in a row, we couldn't leave without sharing some love. The energy is fun, funky, and effortlessly welcoming. Megan and Lindsey made our night feel like we were hanging with friends, and when we came back for lunch, Lindsey kept that same amazing energy going -- she even cut our burgers for us, which was such a thoughtful touch Now let's talk FOOD... because every bite felt like a flavor party. The buffalo shrimp are perfectly crispy with just the right kick, the fried green tomatoes are golden little bites of Southern heaven, and the beef salad is fresh, bold, and packed with flavor. The OG burger is juicy perfection, and the sticky rice bowl with blackened shrimp is smoky, savory, and completely addictive. If you're looking for incredible food, laid-back vibes, and service that makes you feel genuinely taken care of, this is your spot. Funkadelic Food Shack is officially a Laura & Deidra favorite -- and we'll absolutely be back! -- Laura & Deidra #FunkadelicFoodShack#Staugustineeats#great#

What a great place! I love the new location. Plenty of seating and parking. As always, the food was fantastic! My group had the OG Grilled Cheese, Brisket Sliders, and Sladicidal Burger. It was all great! If you want a great meal in St. Augustine, THIS IS IT!

One of our favorite things to do in every new city is seek out the local favorites and discover our own go to restaurants. This time, we decided to give St. Augustine Fish Camp a try. Right away, we were impressed. Our server was knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive throughout the meal. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, and the waterfront views made for a great dining experience. We ordered the clam chowder, Spicy Seafood Linguini, and Shrimp & Grits. Unfortunately, I'd love to be able to rave about the food, but shortly after we finished eating, I became sick and dealt with an upset stomach for the rest of the night. My fiancé also didn't feel well afterward, although her symptoms were much milder. This was the first and only meal we'd eaten since earlier that afternoon, so we suspect it may have been related to something we ate, though we can't say that with absolute certainty. That said, one bad experience doesn't define a restaurant. The service and atmosphere were both excellent, and it's clear from the many positive reviews that plenty of people have had great meals here. We'll give St. Augustine Fish Camp another chance before we leave town, but next time we'll probably order different menu items. Thanks for reading, we hope our experience is helpful!

Exceptional Service, Fresh Seafood, and a Perfect Waterfront Atmosphere…read more My wife and I had one of the best dining experiences we've ever had at The Boathouse in St Augustine. We sat outside on the deck overlooking the water, and the atmosphere alone was worth the visit. To make it even better, a sweet, friendly kitty joined us and rested at our feet while we ate. She was gentle, lovable, and happy to let us pet her, a perfect little addition to an already beautiful afternoon. From the moment we arrived, the staff was outstanding. The hostess seated us immediately, and our server, Tom, was exceptional. He kept our drinks full, checked in just enough without ever interrupting, and always kept an eye on our table as he walked by. His attention to detail was impressive. I ordered the stuffed grouper, and it was phenomenal! Clearly fresh, perfectly seasoned, white and flaky, with a decadent crab stuffing that set the dish apart. My wife had the shrimp skewer salad and loved every bite. The shrimp were fresh, tender, and prepared perfectly. During our meal, I mentioned to Tom that shrimp and grits is my traditional go‑to dish. Even though I didn't order it, Tom surprised us with a complimentary serving of shrimp and grits from Chef Mike! Let me tell you, it was easily the most unique and delicious shrimp and grits I've ever had. The dish included onions and a layer of perfectly seasoned collard greens beneath creamy, balanced grits and fresh, succulent shrimp. We added it to our meal and finished every bite. Just when we thought we couldn't eat another thing, Tom asked if we saved room for dessert. We hadn't; but when he told us about their locally made key lime pie, we had to try it. It was incredible: perfectly tart, perfectly sweet, the crust was amazing and the ideal size for two people to share. We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit. I strongly recommend The Boathouse; try the stuffed grouper, the shrimp and grits, or the shrimp skewer salad if you want something lighter. And whatever you do, save room for the best key lime pie you'll find anywhere in Florida.

We actually ate outside at one of the booths where its first come first serve. This time we just had a couple of beers each along with our entrees. I had the Seafood Combo which was trigger fish & shrimp (blackened) with 2 sides (fresh greens beans & cole slaw). The ruby reds are fantastic. Easy to peel and the cocktail sauce was nice. Should have ordered more. The butter is too watery and doesn't provide much flavor for it. The grouper was bland and boring. Blackened is apparently just burnt without flavor. The cream sauce didn't help. The collard greens I took one bite and that was it. Just nothing to it. The beans and rice was ok. Coconut shrimp was too sweet with the pina sauce. Just ok. Kids loved the kraft Mac and cheese. And the burger was very bland. Nice bun though. The key lime pie was sweet but the crust was good. My daughter got the stuffed flounder with corn casserole as we called it, as her side. It was delicious! Probably the best thing ordered! Tacos and kids grilled fish was great too! Definitely a solid amount of fish nuggets in the taco. The fries were some of the best ive ever had. For the seafood feast, we ordered scampi style and it was good, but it reminded me of a clam sauce style, not really buttery and garlicky. It was still good, but what disappointed me was the melted plastic bag served at the table. It was difficult to open, even our server had trouble opening. Idk why everyone loves serving food in plastic bags. It's sooo hot from the steam that plastic leaches into the food. I don't get the infatuation with this, unless you're ordering to go. The fans upstairs are a nice and necessary touch and not too hot up there, despite being summer in July. I would go back and order the stuffed flounder again! Seriously, that was the best thing we ordered. Ashley was johnny on the spot too!
