We enjoyed these! They were so diligent to look up ingredients for my kids to ensure their safety. Then they gave us an extra free scoop bc the wrong ice cream came out. It was no big deal, my kids would have eaten it. They didn't hesitate and plopped another scoop on there. Line was quick and fast and we had gone to 2 other ice cream and funnel shops which much longer lines and who also weren't as willing to review ingredients and checking labels. The Santa Monica Pier is a tourist trap, yet I come here on most visits to the Los Angeles area. Part of it is core memories of visiting here as a child and another part of it is the garishness of the Pier's food establishments. On my recent visit, I ordered the churro funnel cakes with everything on it (fruits, whipped cream, jam). It's huge, yet light and crispy. Share it with one or two friends. Or eat it all by yourself if you're on vacation, you deserve it. read more

I was here yesterday with my boyfriend. I always order a funnel cake every time I am at the pier. It's a family tradition. I get a funnel cake with whipped cream and strawberries. It's delicious. Merline took my order yesterday and she gave really good customer service, and I'm happy about it. The vibes are good because you are on the Santa Monica Pier! Lovely ambiance. read more

Would have give them 4 stars if they were faster. There are 2 shops where you can get funnel cake, I saw the other shop has a longer line so I picked this one. I asked the cashier how long does it take because I was in a rush to get back to parking garage, he said 5min but it took forever. I was the only person in line and they manage to takes 20min to make one funnel cake ‍ The fennel cake is pretty standard , nothing amazing nothing out of the ordinary read more

It was a beautiful day on the Santa Monica Pier, packed with people having fun. Right next to the rides and games is a place that brings back so many memories; Funnel Cakes! I ordered the original Funnel Cake, hot and crispy with powdered sugar. The outer crisp and soft, fluffy inside gives off a nostalgic experience with every bite. The flavor of the Funnel Cake was so buttery and delicious. The perfect dessert to enjoy on the pier as you walk and take in the view of the beautiful beach below. Happy I found a good Funnel Cake place on the pier. Now I have a new foodie experience to look forward to whenever I'm down here. read more

Every time I go to the Santa Monica pier I always see the Funnel Cake place and crave to get it. But only becuase I love funnel cake so much thanks to Magic Mountain. We got the Strawberry funnel cake with additional chocalate syrup and no whipped cream. It was pretty good but definitely not as good as Magic Mountain's. I don't know...maybe my family is too spoiled with the one from Magic Mountain but this one didn't have that wow factor. Maybe there wasn't enough toppings or maybe the funnel cake batter wasn't as soft as Magic Mountain's....overall it was above average I would say. I do want to praise the staff. The line moved fast even with only one cashier. The wait for the funnel cake wasn't too long even on a crowded Saturday. The price is pretty good overall, a little cheaper than the one at Magic's. So would I recommend this place? Sure..... they make good funnel cakes....and that's good enough. read more

My boyfriend is not a sweets kind of man, but when he asked me to come here for a funnel cake, I just knew they must be great. We got in line, and ordered. The line goes fast, and boyyyy is it packed! The pier itself is packed as HELL, but it went fast and the customer service was really great. Super friendly black Woman took my order, and asked us if we wanted anything on it. I chose strawberry and whipped cream, and damn. I watched them make it so it really I fresh! It came out in about 10mins, and It was so damn good!!!!!! Totally worth the 10.00 and huge amount of people around. We will 100% come back for more! They also have lots of other things to chose from, ice cream and special little cones. . But these funnel cakes are it for me! Dessert sweet tooth satisfied! read more

The funnel cake place is a happy establishment with happy employees it seems. They greet you nicely, and are fast and clean. The funnel cakes are hot and fresh. Not too oily, not too sweet. Pleasantly delicious and heart warming, if funnel cakes can ever be heart warming! Make sure it is not a windy day though. It will blow your precious powdered sugar away and feed it to the birds. No wonder why so many were flying above my head ( just kidding). read more

Funnel cakes ice creams are made fresh. Ice cream was good. When you're craving something sweet, this is the place to go. Also, Eating ice cream on the Santa Monica Pier is definitely a bucket list must do! It's great view of the Santa Monica pier while you eat ice cream. However, I was shocked as seagull steals my ice cream at the Santa Monica pier. I've never expected to be attacked by them. I carefully guarded my new ice cream away from the seagulls. Anyways I would love to come back again in the future. read more

location: on the Santa Monica pier what we ordered: (1) funnel cake with strawberry topping & whipped cream ($13.99): the funnel cake was light and crispy. And the powdered sugar & whipped cream were a nice touch. the strawberries were more of a strawberry jam and it was a bit too sweet for me. it also made the funnel cake soggy. main takeaway: very nostalgic snack! you can even watch the employee make the funnel cake in the kitchen. it's a little more expensive but it makes sense given the boardwalk location. read more

A day is not really complete after playing games on Santa Monica Pier, and not having some funnel cake! The line was super long but we'll worth the wait. We were in line for a little over 30 mins towards closing, which was 7pm, and it was already 730pm. They were nice enough to accommodate the bystanders until 8pm on Monday evening. The three of us split this funnel cake. I didn't order it myself, so I can't speak to the service or cost of it. The location is obviously great, because it's on the Santa Monica Pier, so you can sit under an umbrella and people watch while enjoying the ocean breezes. I'm not a fan of syrupy, sugar-laden strawberries, especially in treats like this because it makes that part of the funnel cake kind of soggy. However, it was a decent funnel cake. The outside bits were nice and crispy (like I like them) and it was a fairly large size. Decent; get one if you're in the mood, but don't go out of your way for it. read more

The funnel cakes are okay if you're in the mood for it. It didn't really satisfy my craving for it. Definitely have had better elsewhere. After ordering, it took about 20 minutes til I was able to pick up my order. I just had the powdered sugar and the strawberry topping on it but it didn't seem fried very evenly. The ambiance is perfection! Eating ice cream on the Santa Monica Pier is definitely a bucket list must do. Throw in a delicious cinnamon, sugary, warm fried dough with slowly melting chocolate ice cream that is oh so creamy- you have found nirvana. I would rank this as the best ice cream experience of the summer. Even though the park is closed, the people watching is tops. Every year I would wait for the County Fair to come for funnel cake but why wait when Santa Monica has a cool spot! It's a small post where they sell these bad boys and you have options on how you want them. I prefer mine with powder sugar, strawberries and whipped cream. On a Friday night the lines weren't so big and it didn't take so long. Nice crispy fresh funnel cake, deliciousness. They also sell icee's so that's a win as well. read more

Best funnel cake I've ever had! Don't know if it was the slight hunger, the chill vacay mode, or what, but this funnel cake was perfect! It was fresh, generous on the ice cream and strawberry topping, good portion size, and just overall delicious! Price was $12.50 plus tax. Not too bad considering portion size and location. We were actually hesitant to go here at first because it looked pretty dead but we thought what the heck. So glad we went anyways! The 4 of us shared a funnel cake. Doughy inside with crispy outside. Best funnel my daughter has ever had. The combination of the flavors and fluffy cake was impeccable. Line moves quickly and short wait for a fresh funnel cake. The ambiance is mediocre and loud speaker is ear splitting. The funnel cakes here are ok if you're looking to grab a snack while at the Santa Monica pier. I had ordered at the register and received the funnel cake right away. Because it was given so quickly, I thought the funnel cake might have been cold and possibly had just been sitting around ready to give off to any customer. Thankfully that wasn't the case as it was piping hot. This wasn't the best I've tasted but it was decent for what it was. I shared with a friend so the funnel cake didn't have time to get soggy from the strawberry topping and whip cream due to it being eaten fast. I'd order another funnel cake on a future visit. The only funnel cake on the pier so they reserved the right to overcharge you for their mediocre funnel cake. If you never try funnel cake before and really want to like me, better ready to waste $9 for tiny funnel cake with packaged strawberry jam on top instead of fresh fruits. The cake was not even fried thoroughly so it is not hot enough and just barely crispy. To be honest, better go to other festivals to try real funnel cakes for half the price. read more

Overall, this place is a 2.5 / 5. It is barely okay, but I'll round up. Conveniently located on Santa Monica Pier, I'm always easily tempted to eat a funnel cake. Without fail, I've eaten from here each visit to the pier. This place satisfies a funnel cake craving with fresh made to order funnel cakes. It is pricy though.. $8.25 for a funnel cake, powdered sugar and some syrup... plus they're so stingy with the powered sugar! Next time I'll think twice about eating here. (But I do love me some funnel cake. That's the dilemma, haha) Overall, decent experience here. Pricy, but satisfying. P.s. eat your cake while it's hot or it'll get soggy....! read more

Their funnel cakes are sooooo good here! I always come in the summer and never once realize this pace was even their till today lol. I assume their lines must get really Long in the summer, luckily it's not summer. you do wait around 10 minutes to get your food or longer depending the lines, but yesterday it was not pack and I waited around 10 minutes, so be prepare for a wait. If you love the six flags funnel capes your going to love this one too! TIP:ask ahead before putting toppings because their a dollar each. Ok, here's the Funnel Cake pricing in a nutshell: $7.25 for powdered sugar $8.25 for powdered sugar + one topping $1.00 for additional topping They make the funnel cake right when you order. At The Funnel Cake Factory, there's less variety of toppings: strawberry, chocolate syrup, pineapples ...and the rest I don't remember. I had the sugar cravings, but I split this cake in half with my friend. We devoured it in 10 minutes. I recommend eating the funnel cake within 5 minutes after you order; it'll turn soggy. read more

Paid about $10 for a funnel cake with strawberries and whipped cream! Kinda pricey but that what everything at Santa Monica pier costs. Service was good, they had friendly staff and funnel cakes are made fresh. Since it was Valentine's Day, they made the whipped cream into a heart shape which is cute. The funnel cake was actually pretty big and I shared it with my bf and we were both satisfied. The outside is crunchy while the inside is soft and doughy. The batter was really good and I especially loved the crispy bits. One thing that I would like them to change is the sweet syrupy strawberries. On the picture that they advertise the strawberries looked very fresh. But when you get the actual thing the they are soggy and limpy and waaaay to sweet. It made the whole funnel cake sometimes too sweet to eat and I find myself eating the bits without any strawberry syrup. It would be sooo much better if that can use fresh strawberries instead. read more

Cant expect much coming to a place like this, efficiency in the workers is atrocious they are like lost in there it's incredible. Was 8 for regular funnel, 8.50 for a churro funnel cake, 9 for funnel cake with strawberry. I got the regular and part of it was cooked good while part of it was doughy and raw. Again I cant expect to much but stil lm could be better. Taste wise it was like any other funnel cake nothing special. read more

I think this was one of the best invention ever! Yeah for funnel cake!!! You can't eat funnel cake without a smile!!Yesterday I went to Santa Monica beach because it was scorching hot. After sun fun in at the boardwalk I couldn't leave till I get this delicious creation. I new this place was popular because of the huge line that was form. I wouldn't complain so much about the price since this area is a tourist attraction the price is understandable. $6.50- Funnel cake with powder sugar $7.50-Funnel cake with 1 topping $1.00-for extra toppings The toppings that are available Strawberry, Apple, Caramel, Banana,Chocolate, and whipped cream They also sell other stuff like ice cream cones for $4.00 and drinks. Just to let you know the line went really fast but to pick up your funnel cake was extremely slow.I got the classic funnel cake with strawberry. When I finally received my cake it was super hot. One thing I didn't like is that they put a little bit of strawberries on my funnel cake. Like I see other people around me and they had so much! When I took my first bite ohh man was my mouth was on fire because i didn't wait till my funnel cake cool down. The dough for some reason tasted too cakey which I didn't find too pleasant. It wasn't extremely crunchy I guess the reason for that was the employees were rushing on making the orders. Overall, my experience was good but not excellent. Lol... (laugh out loud)....this place is not even so-so.. I would say.. don't bother with this place. The location is prime, but the service and quality is bad. Workers seem or are pissed about service. They hate it. They need upbeat and friendly people. I wonder how many workers they go through. I'm not surprised that this funnel cake place is still in business...regardless.. they get customers. But you have fair warning... enjoy spending $10 else where..just saying. No picture... not worth the effort Waste. read more

Skip this Yogurtland and get dessert somewhere else

But if you like spicy you will love their entire menu. Their O.G. Plate is great and it has a lot of food for one. It has a taco, Quesataco, Mulita, Quesadilla, and Consome. Their Carne Asada which is mesquite grilled steak and chicken is also very good.
