I wanted to update my review since it has been so long. After spending a day Santa Monica the person I was with asked if I wanted Diddy Riese. We made the drive here for some of their popular ice cream sandwiches. Although quality isn't the best you can't knock them since they are so affordable compared to everywhere else. I think an ice cream sandwich with one scoop is like $5. And you get to choose which type of cookies and ice cream. I went with their butter pecan, a cinnamon sugar and oatmeal raisin with walnut. The oatmeal raisin cookie was not it for me. The cinnamon sugar cookie tho was my favorite. The ice cream itself lacked in creaminess but for the price you cannot beat. While we were there they had a seasonal black sesame one which was really good and I highly recommend if you enjoy black sesame and they still offer it. We also got a walnut brownie which was super good compared to their cookies. We ended up getting 2 ice cream sandwiches, 10 mixed cookies, and a brownie for about $20. What a steal! Besides ice cream, cookies, and brownies, they also have their shaved iced. But overall their menu is pretty simple. The service was pretty quick. As you may have figured it out by the name, Diddy sells cookies, and lots of it at a very low price. It's at a perfect location within minutes from UCLA, and they have been here for many years. There are no seating inside and a few chairs outside. At times, there's a long line, but it moves fast. The cookie choices are listed on the menu board and they're all on display behind the glass case. You can either buy cookies or opt for an ice cream sandwich. As of May, 2026 most of the cookies are just $.75. They're not the best obviously but they're not bad. I tried white chocolate chip, peanut butter, dark, chocolate, cinnamon sugar, a.k.a. snickerdoodle and a chocolate chip walnut cookie. I'd say my favorite was the cinnamon sugar, which usually isn't my first choice. The service is friendly and fast. I told them what I want they grabbed it put it in a bag and I'm done.
