We came out early Saturday morning from an hour drive(mountains) and I wanted to take my almost 18 year old Autistic son for his first drive! I approach the guys and explained my situation! They were so cool about it! They buckled him in his on kart in front of mine, showed him the green for go & red for stop peddles, and explained to me they'd start his first lap on super slow! If I gave them a thumbs up they'd bump it up a speed! Also they have a kill switch just Incase(all remotely). Never seen that boy smile so much!! We will be back! Now the whole family wants to go! As a single mom, theres not many places i can bring my kids to, thats fun for all groups and affordable. My son (5) had a baseball game on Monday and after we brought him to the batting cages. I spent well over $50 for my kids to batt. That day the bating cages kept breaking and i kept having to go tell them. It was a PAIN!!! We ended the night with 2 rounds of go carts! Then we came on thursday that same week and i spent about $160 on games, and attractions. The kids had a pretty great time. They road the gocarts, everything was great! We are now here on friday, the day after. I have spent $85 on attractions. All the staff remembers us, its great. But now that there is different staff at the go carts, they are saying my 16 year old cannot drive my 5 year old bcuz she doesnt have a liscence. Mind you she has been driving him two days prior to this visit. I dont allow for my 16 year old to get her liscence bcuz one i cannot afford it and two, her dad and i think she shud wait another year bcuz we secretly want to be able to purchase her a new car. Now, my kid is crying so hard bcuz he doesnt understand how come he cant ride with his sister today. I called the GM and instead of accomadating me AFTER showing her ALL my reciepts from the entire week, and explaining to her, she didnt give my son access to the go carts with his 16 YEAR OLD sister !!!! She gave me 20 stinkin tokens... mind yu each game cost 4-6 tokens... I AM FURIOUS!!!! & 100% DISAPPOINTED WITH THE SERVICE OF FUN WORKS!!! I told her to please bring up in their meetings how the rules are not being carried out by each staff memeber from the beginning!!! Came from out of town, so it was our first time here. We had a lot of fun, my daughter had a great time. We bought the 5 hour wristband for her, and a game card to play in the arcade. We rode go karts, the bump n tag bumper cars, my daughter experienced the XD theater, and we rode the water boats (got super soaked, so dress accordingly). The best part of our visit were two workers, Kevin & Anthony. They made our visit here exciting and pleasant by providing excellent customer service, they were also friendly! Funworks definitely needs more Kevin's and Anthony's as employees here! They made us feel comfortable and confident in the games we played. :P Definitely will be back again when we're visiting Modesto! (Ended up spending $90 in the arcade ) read more

This place is very out of the way, but it has a lot of fun things to do. The Putt Putt Golf was fun and I enjoyed playing the STARWARS Pinball machine. The price is good, the property is very well done, with lots of nice grass, flowers and trees. I really enjoyed the Miniature Golf water infulences and the atmosphere. One thing I loved about bringing my children here is that when the staff found out it was my oldest sons birthday they gave him a birthday sticker and he received "happy birthday" from almost every one of the staff!!! I visited this establishment on Sunday, July 23rd 2023 and had a very unpleasant experience and overall a waste of money since my children did not get to use the wristbands we purchased. I purchased three "Celebration Sunday Fun pass" wristbands and two of my children started off with the go karts and got a tan mark on the number "1" one the wristbands. Then I brought all 3 of my children to the splash works pirate ships which was being operated by a young man with glasses, curly hair, and a bucket cap. The associate marked off the number "1,2,3" on my younger sons wrist band and "2,3,4" on my two other children's wristbands because my children rode on it three different times back to back. I went back to the counter to ask if the splash works pirate ships were supposed to be getting black marks on them because on the wrist band it states "unlimited: putt putt golf, Freddy's treehouse, & splash works pirate ships". There were two other different family's who were also inside complaining about the same young male associate marking the wrist band for the splash works pirate ships because the wristband states unlimited. The associate Zaina was extremely rude to my 3 sons and I, after I explained what happened she had to go check with the associate and once she returned she cut the original wrist bands off and gave them new ones. They used the new ones 1 time at the bumper cars inside, then two of my sons stood in line for over 30 minutes at the go karts to be told they could not ride. We assumed it was because their clothes were still a bit damp so after changing into fresh dry clothes they stood in line once again for about 30 minutes and were told by the same young man who was working the other attraction that they could not ride, when they asked why he replied "because my manager told me not to let them." I then went inside to ask why they refused my sons the ride and Zaina accused us of lying about the young curly haired man marking the wristbands with black marks which is completely outrageous I frequent funworks Modesto and this is the first time I ever had this issue. To come to your establishment and spend my hard earned money to let my children have fun then be accused of lying because the associate messed up and couldn't own up to his mistakes is completely unacceptable. Zaina then began stating that they refused my children because "two other children in my group took a flag down" which is untrue I let her know that the 3 children standing in front of her with me were the only children in my group and she said she "assumed the other boys were in my group." I don't think it is right to refuse my children the right to go on attractions based off of an assumption that had nothing to do with my children and no proof to back it up. I am extremely upset at the way Zaina talked to us and handled the situation, as a manager she should have investigated the situation a bit more closely. She could have easily reviewed the cameras to see the go kart associate marked two of my children's wristbands once in tan and the young curly haired associate was marking the wristbands in black and also taking advantage of young children by accepting tickets from children who already had wristbands on. I definitely will not be coming back to this establishment and I will be sharing this experience with all of my family and friends because it's ridiculous, Zaina should have not assumed two other children were in my group just because they are Hispanic like my sons. The associates at this location need to be trained more thoroughly. I personally feel Zaina needs to issue an apology to my sons and I because we have never been treated like criminals before until now. I reached out to the operations manager Jason Renberg but still haven't heard back. I'm definitely going to keep trying to contact the operations manager to file a complaint. read more

We went to celebrate our daughter's birthday about a month ago and the staff went above and beyond to make sure she (and the rest of the group of family and friends) had a great time. What is with unhappy staff? This is a place for kids and teens. And I am certain it can be stressful. But if someone walk up and smiles with a big Hello...say Hello back! The staff seemed bored and just unhappy. I took my two nephews and a few friends so I spent a bit of money and it just was not worth it. It is dirty and outdated feeling. Even outside there was trash all over. The boys had an ok time but honestly the staff was very off putting and I a sure that my boys and others feed on that. The main reason why I like this place is becuz they have the corn maze around this time. I had lots of fun trying to find the marks so u can punch ur card to finish the maze. One thing that suck was lots of people were cutting thru and messing up the maze directions. Other then that the arcade area was like any other place like boomers or golfland. This is my go to spot in having a fun afternoon with my son. They always run coupons in either the Yellow pages or in the local newspaper. The miniature golf can get repetitive and my son has yet to go on the go karts but that will be changing soon enough. One thing for sure is that he loves playing in the arcade and also enjoys bowling. We will be back for some more action! read more

We were in town for the California High School Speech Association's State Championships and at the end of every State tournament, there's a dance. This year, CHSSA rented out all of Funworks for a dance/ dinner/ good time for all of the coaches and students. Now, this is my 10th year coaching, plus I attended the State dance for several years as a competitor myself. Hands down, this was the single best year yet and that's in no small part due to Funworks. Every student (and coach!) got a card for unlimited game play, the food was great, and everyone had an all around great time. Seriously, great job, Funworks! read more

This place was hella fun an the manager was very helpful. Funworks will really show you how the fun is supposed to work cuz the staff there guides. You every step of the way. There's definitely no work feeling tho its just straight fun. I would definitely go on the special days tho cuz it can be pricey. There's always coupons for the place tho. The pizza was great so that definitely separates them from the other places. They have go Karts, bumper boats, climbing walls, bumper cars, bowling, mini golf, tons of games, play structure and some other things. I loved this place. It was a little lame that you have to pay to be on the play structure and the bumper boats didn't squirt water but this place was still great.
