Furai chicken cro-sand: house-made mayo, dill pickle, 2 original tenders, creamy coleslaw = $11.98
    Trung N.

There are 55 million new chicken places promising to do something different and Furai is just another one of these chicken joints. I was looking for a quick and easy lunch so I stuck with food court friendly items: -Furai chicken tenders ($10.98 for 3): served with coleslaw, fries, 1 dipping sauce -Furai chicken cro-sand ($11.98): house-made mayo, dill pickle, 2 original tenders, creamy coleslaw with a brioche bun I ordered the chicken sandwich not realizing that instead of one single patty, there are two tenders. This made for a sloppy, messy sandwich eating situation. The tenders slipped and slid with every bite. And while I liked each of the sandwich components individually - tenders, slaw, brioche bun - I didn't love them as one single unit. Their just wasn't anything particularly special about the sandwich. The chicken tenders were good - the breading is dusted with some type of seasoning. They were definitely on the slimmer side, but the tender meal was quite cheap for what you get. Not bad for a food court restaurant.

Furai Chicken is one of the best-hidden gems around the area. They sell fried chicken in a variety of flavors. My favorite is their old chicken with salt and pepper that you can lightly dip the meat into. I have been here multiple times and their fried chicken batter is nice and crispy. The inside is not dry at all and you will love it. This is a Korean-style fried chicken place so they have flavors of soy garlic, spicy, garlic, green onion, and so on. But if you don't want any flavors on it you can just order the old chicken and it's not flavored in the sauce.

This Korean fried chicken spot makes really good fried chicken. Their batter is not layered on too thick or too thin and is fried to perfection, making their chicken not only crispy, but also very juicy on the inside. We ordered the 10pc wings and 1/2 chicken, both in their original batter, and they were both freshly fried and very tasty. Both boxes also came with these potato wedges, and they were actually very good as well! The way that they make them is super unique and I would definitely reccomend buying their chicken solely to get a taste of those potato's. Absolutely life changing and believe me when I say I'm not over exaggerating! We also tried two of their sauces: their volcano and, due to the staff's recommendation, their soy garlic. Although the volcano is supposed to be their spiciest sauce, it didn't taste super spicy to me and was more in the sweet side. The soy garlic was pretty similar in the sense that it tasted more like honey with a touch of garlic. Overall a great friend chicken spot to stop by for super juicy fried chicken and amazing potato wedges.

My friend recommended this place and I decided to give it a try. It is located inside a Korean market that's a bit dated. Anyways, I placed the order online and was able to get it without any hassle. I ordered 10 pieces of chicken wings in garlic lemon flavor. It actually taste more like garlic honey for some reason. Anyways, my mom says it tastes better than other Korean fried chicken places that she had. The chicken is crunchy and there's a good amount of sauce around the chicken. I would say it's a tad pricier compared to other Korean chicken places, and I might come back and try other flavors

Wow, so juicy & tasty! Why haven't I had it before now?!? The 10 piece soy garlic wings were amazing! Will be back. The batter is thin & lightly crispy & the soy garlic sauce is on the sweeter side. Yummmmm! The tenders plain, with no sauce is tasteless & a little dry but my 6 yr old son loved it. It tastes better with the sauce but my son doesn't like sauce. Don't get the tenders as it's dry white meat.

    Soy Garlic Wings (10 pc)

Some of the best wings I've had in a while!! Located inside the Hannam supermarket on the right side, there's a small food court with a few tables. The soy garlic flavor is SO GOOD. Flavors worked together really well but didn't taste overwhelming while still getting the chicken taste. The sauce stuck on to the skin and there was extra at the bottom for me to use. This is the first time I've had wings that weren't super oily, tasted light with a strong flavor. Appreciated the extra inclusions of potato wedges and daikon radish. Even though these were super good wings, not sure if I can justify paying ~$22 (w/ tip) for 10 wings. I ordered online and the order was completed quickly. When I arrived for pick-up, there was no one at the counter so I had to wait a bit. I didn't mind though because I had a good laugh when the owner's friend (?) was yelling around the supermarket looking for her to help me out.

Who doesn't love yummy Korean fried chicken?? Yeah Furai Chicken is a popular chain all over OC/LA. It's located inside the Hannam Supermarket if you can't find it! Its on the far right side of the supermarket when you walk in next to the bakery. It's highly recommended to preorder online or call in since each other is made fresh so takes about 15-30minutes. Or yeah you can go grocery shopping and pick it up after! Best Deal is definitely half chicken/half wings combo: You can pick 2 flavors for your wings either mixed or on the side. Usual favor sauce is sweet & spicy and soy garlic. The spicy is not spicy at all or super mild for those afraid of spice. Each order comes with a side of pickled daikon too. They do have a small dine-in area with self service water if you want to dine in. Just note you will have to wait 15-30+ minute if you order there still! It's pretty much everything is togo orders just your choice if you take your bag home or eat it there. The auntie is pretty nice though! She gave a free side beer battered fries since we waited so long. Tip: If you want to schedule for an exact date/time for pickup submit your order online then call them immediately ((909) 468-9292) and they'll write it on your order receipt. The online site only ASAP times so this is the workaround.

Furai Chicken Sandwich with fries. Amazing

Located inside the Hannam market on the right side. The place is sectioned and has seating. Chicken here is amazing. A hidden gem, diamond in the rough. All items are made to order so it does take about 15-20 minutes. The bonus part of ordering on site is being able to do some market shopping while waiting. Had tried the wings and also the sandwich. Both are amazing. Chicken was soft and tender. The fries curl wedges are AMAZING! They are well seasoned and crispy. Obsessed with them. Would recommend. Expect the wait, it's worth it.

I came here after seeing it after shopping inside Hannam market. I chose to get the half original furai chicken ($13.98) and half light crispy ($12.98), it came with fried potato wedges. I also got 6 pieces of teokkochi which is fried rice cakes on a skewer ($8). There's several types of dry seasoning to choose from such as garlic parmesan, cheddar, bbq, buffalo, and sour cream and onion but I chose to get the original with no dry seasoning to taste the batter better. You can get one dipping sauce for each order so I chose to get the garlic jam, smoke soy, and kang jung. All of them are not too salty and did not overwhelm the chicken when I dipped it. The chicken was tender and cooked thoroughly. The batter was not too thick and crispy. The teokkochi was chewy and not overcooked. The dipping sauce was sweet and spicy. It's located inside Hannam market. They have seating inside, the staff is nice.

We finally found our No. 1 KFC (Korean Fried Chicken)!! Furai Chicken in Diamond Bar is hidden inside Hannam Chain Market World food court, but they definitely out performed your typical food court expectations. The menu is pretty simple and they offer more than just fried chicken. However, why getting anything else if the name of the restaurant is Furai CHICKEN? We usually get a whole chicken with half soy garlic and half kang jung (sweet and spicy). The sauce wasn't super wet but stick to the chicken skin beautifully without making the skin soggy. Soy garlic wasn't too sweet, and kang jung wasn't overwhelming on the spicy level. The best part is they throw in bite sized rice cake with kang jung flavor to soak it up as little pleasure bites. Soooooo freaking good! Overall, we loved everything about it and can't wait to go back to try all their other flavors.

We placed the order at the self-service kiosk. We considered ordering their fried chicken wings but they were all sold out, so we ordered their popcorn chicken ($7.50), chicken strips (6 pcs) for $7, and Garlic Parmesan Fries ($6.95) for dine-in. We picked White Garlic Alioli sauce for the popcorn chicken and Chicciety sauce for the Chicken Strips and Fries. It took a bit long for them to make our order even though we were the 2nd order in line. We waited about 15 minutes before we got our order. The portions were big. The Garlic Parmesan Fries were delicious and flavorful but you better chew gum after eating them because it has a strong garlic flavor. The Chicken strips were huge! They were big and long strips. The chicken meat was tender, but the crust outside was too crunchy and greasy. We like the Chicciety sauce though. The popcorn chicken was also cut into big pieces and the flavor was spicy. We would rather have the Taiwanese popcorn chicken than this one though. Overall, it was okay but we were not impressed either. We've had better Taiwanese and Korean Fried Chicken though. I hope they can improve the speed of the orders.

I ordered the original chicken sandwich ($8.45) and made it into a combo (+$6.00). There are 0 descriptions for the sandwich, but you do get your choice of breast or thigh meat and your level of spice. The enormous chicken patty comes sandwiched between two soft buns alongside some slaw and pickles. The chicken is delicious - the batter is light and crispy and the meat is so moist. The slaw is the perfect complement to the fried chicken patty. - It adds a cooling effect to the spiciness. I also shared an order of their chicken strips ($7). Wow, for $7, you get a really generous portion of chicken tenders (I counted 7 in my order). The chicken tenders are the same as the patty: good batter, tender meat. They're not as thick, but I'm okay with that. You also get your choice of a dipping sauce. I chose the Chicciety sauce which is a lot like the Chick-fil-A sauce. I also went ahead and ordered all of the sauces for an additional $.50 per sauce. Of these, the white garlic aioli and creamy cucumber wasabi were terrific. Everything else was pretty standard. Chicciety is worth checking out if you like chicken sandwiches. I'll be back to try their wings.

I've been to this location before but my recent purchase at this establishment left me disappointed and wanting to go to a different location. We ordered a large order of chicken and sides via mobile order since I was treating friends for helping me out. When we arrived at the pick up time, the store was packed and had a ton of customers waiting, around 4-5 other orders including us. It was also hot inside as I think the air conditioning was broken or there was way too many people packed into the small establishment. We arrived early and luckily had an early enough pick-up time that we waited around 10 mins for the lady at the counter to bring the food out, ~5 mins after the expected pick up time. A lot of customers were angry that day though as I noticed their pick up time said ready but their food wasn't out. There was also no one at the counter for a long amount of time as I think they were low on staff back of house. When we drove back to our location to eat (5 mins drive), we were disappointed that we were missing one of our sides of cheesing fries ($8). We were on a deadline so it would've been a waste of time to drive back and they were way too busy to call to complain so I lost out on both the food and money which I was a little upset about. The soy garlic chicken was solid and good. A nice balance of sweet and tangy. The hot and spicy wings were alright. The flavor wasn't bad but it didn't suit my tastes. These two were both a little soggy which was alright as we did take out and had a short drive but I was a little surprised as it hadn't ever happened to me before at the Temple City location and the drive was about the same. The golden chicken was personally the worst one. Although it looked crispy, the chicken skin was soggy. I wasn't a big fan of boneless chicken already but it made it taste especially bad. This was the second most disappointing part as we ordered two portions as my friend mentioned he really liked the original chicken. The rose ttebokki was one of the most surprising parts as it tasted savory and creamy. I liked the multi-layered taste of it. I do wish the establishment provided utensils as it was difficult to ask since they were so packed. Overall, the food was just alright and I personally would just stick to my own local spot near me. Not sure if it was just this day that the poor staff were overworked but it definitely affected my and many other's experience. Will not be coming back to this location any time soon. :(

It was 79 degrees inside, muggy, humid, and completely uncomfortable. We almost turned around and left immediately. The place was practically empty, which honestly should have been our first red flag. We decided to give them a chance anyway. Big mistake. My colleague and I were offered water or hot tea. We both ordered hot tea. The menu clearly says in English that hot tea is $2.99. Nowhere does it clearly explain in English that you will be charged differently depending on how many people drink it. When the bill came, we were charged $5 each. Apparently, there is some clarification written in Chinese, but how are customers who do not read Chinese supposed to know that? That is completely misleading. The tea portions were not larger, not special, nothing different. Just basic tea. The pricing felt deceptive. We also ordered popcorn chicken and chili wonton soup. Both came out in tiny portions that looked like appetizers, yet the menu does not clearly label them as such. For what we received, paying over $30 total felt ridiculous. The food itself was mediocre at best. Nothing memorable and definitely not worth the price. Because of the uncomfortable temperature, confusing pricing, small portions, and average food, we chose not to leave a tip. As we were walking out, the waiter chased us outside and pressured us about the zero tip. That is completely inappropriate. Tipping is not mandatory. It is earned. Confronting customers outside over a tip is unprofessional and embarrassing. Between the heat, the questionable menu pricing, the small portions, and being confronted outside, this was one of the worst dining experiences I have had in a long time. We will never be back.
