Happy to have delicious empanadas & pizza in the area! There are so many options for empanadas but we tried the beef jalapeño, chicken jalapeño, spinach alfredo, ricotta, ham & cheese, and corn. They were all really good but the spinach alfredo and corn (surprisingly) stood out. The crust is crispy and the filling is flavorful. It comes with a side of chimichurri sauce. For pizza we got half margherita and half pepperoni sausage (so glad they allow half & half). I liked both, and I like that they don't put too much sauce. We also got a box of pepitas for dessert which are their shortbread cookies with a dot of jam. They are fire! Not too sweet, I could eat 10 not kidding haha. I believe they're sold by the pound. So much room for improvement and a great addition to Ontario. Hopefully it was a off day but our pizza came out extra salty and soggy with less then 4 mins drive home. I'm not a fan of the off day pizza here but I have to say the empanadas were delightful. Great friendly staff. Side note: they are so close to the movie theatre, would be so cool to have pizza by the slice for those wanting a quick bite before or after the movies. So we walked in on a Tuesday afternoon at approximately 1 pm. Totally empty but the girls behind the counter were very helpful and friendly. We ordered two empanada specials which included 3 empanadas of your choice and a can soda. We also ordered a lasagna special which came with garlic bread and a can soda as well. All of this was 33.50. You can't really beat that price these days. We tried the sweet corn, spinach, beef, chicken, pepperoni, and ham and cheese for the empanadas. The empanadas were tasty, the dough was crisp. Only thing I would say was that some of the fillings were a bit bland. However, they offered us their house made chimichurri and that was . Took everything to the next level. The lasagna was interesting. Not quite sure what made it "Argentinian." It did have a piece of ham in it and also spinach which I guess isn't always traditional, but overall it was pretty good. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very homey and quaint. We were looking for something different to eat for lunch and we found this place. We liked that there was a lunch special and we ordered the milanesa sandwich with salad and the steak sandwich with fries. We also ordered the lunch special empanadas which came with 3 so we chose the beef, spinach and cheese and ham &cheese. The food took a little time but it was worth the wait because everything was piping hot and tasted freshly made. The bread on the sandwiches were crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside, the milanesa was thin crispy and flavorful. The steak was cooked perfectly and soft. The salad and fries were good as well but the stars were the empanadas. The dough was crispy and light and didn't taste greasy at all. They had a good ratio of filling. We loved the beer empanada -the filling was a little sweet but still savory, the spinach and cheese was creamy and delicious and the ham and cheese was surprisingly good. Forgive my story telling but imma tell it anyways...I grew up with an Argentinian family as neighbors and being a So cal boy of Italian decent. I absolutely fell in love with the Argentinian culture as well as their amazing food. One day, sitting and thinking about Chimichurri, an Argentinian sauce, I googled, Argentinian food near me and Furnos came up. This afternoon we went to try them out and I wasn't disappointed. First and foremost the sisters that work there are super friendly. That's more important to me then perfection in their food. They're awesome host's! The Fuguzzetta is any cheese lover's DREAM and the Milanesa Sandwich was amazing! We got some Empanadas that we'll be eating after the show, but the alfajores we ALSO delicious!
