This was our second visit to Fusion Dumpling; we visited last year as well. The food is delicious! The premises is clean and inviting. The bathrooms are downstairs and are clean. The staff is friendly and attentive. To communicate your order you use dry erase markers on the menus. I forgot to take a picture of all of the food items we ordered. The green onion pancake was a hit for the kids! I recommend trying this restaurant if you go to Chinatown. read more

Neat, nice, & clean interior. Looks unassuming from the outside, but once you go inside, it's pretty spacious. I recommend their crab noodle & pan fried pork buns . The buns came out quite slow, but understandable coz it took a while to cook those dumplings & serve them to us fresh & warm. Servers were kind & speedy. Give it a try ! read more

Pan fried pork soup bao it was delicious but be careful when you eat because there was a little soup inside you don't want to burn your mouth. The sticky rice shumai was okay. Created by the owners of Chong Qing Xiao Mien, the menu here is a creative take on Northern China flavors. We had the pork XLB, the Shanghai beancurd leaf rolls, and the Shanghai sticky rice siumai. Although the food was enjoyable, it was hardly impressive given the number of dumplings places now found throughout the Bay Area. The XLBs had delectable broth, but the pork/cabbage stuffing inside, though generous, was a bit dense and dry for my liking (probably should have used fattier pork). The beancurd leaf rolls (aka vegetarian goose) were delicate and tasty, and the portion was reasonable for the price. The sticky rice siu mais were also a bit dry. Presentation was interesting as each steamed dishes came on a bright red painted rack which the bamboo steamer sat on, and they provided an appropriate red spoon to eat the XLB with. A pot of good quality tea, at $6 for a pot, was a lot more reasonable than $12 a pot at Z&Y across the street. read more

So we came here to try the viral crab noodles, and left a bit underwhelmed. The presentation itself was awesome and Instagram worthy, but realistically when it came to taste I have to say it was average. Maybe we should have ordered the hairy crab version but it seemed way too pricy for a casual lunch. The duck blood soup was a bit unexpected as well, they use quite a bit of white pepper in the soup so just a far warning on that. alright so this place was okay but my girl took the dish i wanted to eat bc she didn't like what she ordered so i kinda suffered. i originally ordered the dan dan noodles which were really good, very flavorful and not too spicy. but me on the other hand.... let's just say i had to suffer cuz she didn't want her freaking mala beef noodles like bro why would u order mala who tf likes mala that shit was like a flamethrower in my mouth every time i took a bite straight numbness no flavor but i mean its not a knock against the dish bc thats how its supposed to be. yea idk i couldn't finish it but again its just bc i folded and i couldn't handle it. we also ordered the spicy chili wontons which were really really good. the flavor of the pork very umami and the chili oil was a nice compliment. but we ended up rinsing the dumplings in water cuz it got too mala. ig moral of story here is if u fw mala theres a ton of good options like the beef noodle soup. read more

I came here on the recommendation of a friend and was really happy to eat here. All the food was super tasty and came out relatively quickly. It took us a while to get seated since there was a wait but it wasn't a huge deal. Pan-fried pork soup dumplings - The filling was super tasty. I thought the pan-fried part was a little too thick for my liking but overall was great. 5/5 Steamed lamb dumplings - This was steamed perfectly, but I'm not the biggest fan of lamb as a filling. It would definitely taste better with pork or chicken, IMO. 3/5 Fish filet with chopped pickled pepper - I loved this dish. The fish was very tender, had a good kick to it, and was super garlicky! 5/5. Shanghai sticky rice shumai - First time trying it, and I was pleasantly surprised. The shumai was unexpectedly sweet and was a great break in between all the savory dishes. 5/5. Pork XLB - This is my go-to dish at every dumpling spot I go to and it's always a hit. Best dish here, IMO. 5/5 Shanghai bean curd - First time trying this one as well, and I didn't know what to expect. Overall, the mushrooms, bean curd, and the sauce that came with it paired very nicely together. 5/5. We tried this place on a whim, while in town. My friend wanted to try a hot pot, so this was the place we chose. I appreciated that they had non meat options, such as mushroom and vegetable potstickers. We definitely ordered way too much food. We wanted to try the potstickers and dumplings and he wanted the hot pot. We also tried the soup dumplings, which I have to say was probably my favorite dish we had. We live in North Beach and probably walked by a thousand times. What an array of delicious flavors, from the cucumber salad to pork buns and the dumplings yum yum! 3.5 stars. It was good! For the price point, I don't think I would come again. Star: the duck was great! juicy and crispy. highly recommend if you're here (& the tea!!) Came here because of a video I saw from a foodie creator on social media. The food - good presentation but some dishes were mediocre. Not worth the 70 minute drive to this place. The crab lo mein and pan fried halibut lacked flavor. Best dish was crispy garlic fish. Sweet & sour ribs tasted average (which isn't bad for $9). Overall, an average place in my opinion, but I can see how some would deem the quality as very good. read more

I called the restaurant directly. They took my order without hesitation and made me feel at ease that everything will be ready on time. I called again in the morning to confirm my order before leaving for pick up. I couldn't get a hold of anyone, most likely they were busy with their Sunday rush, but they called me back even without me leaving a message! When I arrived my order was ready, The food was hot, packaged so nicely, and everything was clearly prepared with care. Within half an hour of consuming the food, I started experiencing severe stomach discomfort, followed by an unfortunate bout of diarrhea. My girlfriend and I visited this restaurant on New Year's Day for dinner. We ordered hot and sour soup, spicy soup dumplings, kung pao chicken, and shrimp dumplings. My girlfriend thoroughly enjoyed the food, but unfortunately, I had a terrible experience. I had vomited three times before leaving the restaurant, and I hadn't felt sick before we arrived. I informed our server that the food had made me ill and requested a discount. I should have declined payment altogether, but I'm not that kind of person. They offered me only a 10% discount, which I found insufficient to compensate for the illness I suffered. Despite my request, our server refused to negotiate further. Reluctantly, I accepted the discount. After paying, I asked if I could at least have a Sprite to settle my stomach, but they insisted on charging me for it as well. The male server sighed loudly and muttered under his breath every time we asked for basic things like an extra chair or an itemized receipt. I've never encountered this kind of rudeness anywhere else. As for the food, it was okay but nothing memorable. The crab lo mein was average, and the garlic fried fish could have used way more garlic flavor--it lacked the punch we expected. Overall, a real disappointment. Two stars because the food was quick but it was not very good…read more We got the papa noodle (Dan Dan) and it was fine but kind of bland. The beef noodle soup however was not good. The soup was way too thick and heavy. I enjoyed the speed of service and everything they leave out for customers though - soy sauce & vinegar packets, floss, ginger candies, etc. Also appreciated the vegan options!

One feature item is their Yunnan Crossing the Bridge Rice Noodle, which features a hot peppery broth, rice noodles, and an array of different ingredients including chicken, luncheon meat, pork slices, fish slices, bean sprouts, cilantro, scallions, pickled vegetables, enoki mushrooms, and quail eggs. Each of the ingredients was presented separately at the table before our server mixed everything into the hot broth, which brought everything together. We also had the "Single Small Pot Cooked Noodle Soup" (directly translated), which featured the same rice noodles in a numbing spicy broth along with tofu skin, ground pork, scallions, and bean sprouts. As an appetizer, we had the BBQ Lamb Skewers, which had a lean, meaty texture and a tasty chili/spice seasoning on top. Overall, the food here was decent, though the ingredients didn't seem to be particularly fresh or of the best quality.

We have our favorite dim sum spot in the South Bay, but we had yet to find a favorite in San Francisco, until now. There's a very famous one in the City where we used to dine, but our last visit left us disappointed. So, we had our fingers crossed for Harborview. Conveniently located in Embarcadero 4, Harborview is next to the Hyatt Regency, just steps from Embarcadero Plaza and directly across the street from the Ferry Building. If you're stopping by for the bar only, and yes, they have Happy Hour (Tuesday-Friday, 4:00-7:00pm), enter from the second floor. There are escalators and an elevator inside the Embarcadero 4 building, which are also convenient options if you're unable to navigate the circular staircase leading to the dining room. The main dining room entrance is on the first floor, with the courtyard facing Drumm Street. After checking in, you'll be guided upstairs to your table. We had made reservations, so our wait was minimal. When our table for two was ready, we made our way through the bustling main dining room to the outdoor patio in the back. Every table was shaded by an array of large, tan umbrellas, making the patio especially inviting on such a beautiful day. When it comes to dim sum, we tend to order the same familiar dishes. We do this intentionally, mainly so we can compare how each restaurant interprets these classic favorites. We ordered: * Baked BBQ pork buns with crunchy sugar crust ~ This is their signature dish, and it was delectable. Michelin Bib Gourmand recipient Tim Ho Wan in Hong Kong makes the benchmark version of this style of bun, but Harborview serves up a very tasty one of its own. * Shrimp har gow dumplings ~ Delicious, with that satisfying, delicate crunch of shrimp when cooked just right. * Glutinous rice and assorted meat wrapped in lotus leaf ~ Well-seasoned, fragrant and wonderfully moist. * Jellyfish cold plate ~ If a restaurant has this on the menu, I'm ordering it. Harborview prepares it beautifully, with just the right amount of spicy kick and that irresistible, crunchy texture that makes jellyfish so enjoyable, somewhat reminiscent of wood ear mushrooms. * Steamed chicken feet with black bean sauce ~ Exceptionally savory and tender. My favorite preparation includes slices of fresh green jalapeño, whereas this version came with red chili peppers. It still had plenty of flavor and heat. * Barbecued pork rice flour rolls * Black truffle & Kurobuta pork dumplings ~ Din Tai Fung still holds the title for my favorite XLBs, but these were a tasty rendition. Overall, every dish was very good. The restaurant was packed and clearly in full swing, yet the service remained attentive and efficient. Plenty of servers were circulating throughout the dining area, so whenever we needed something, it arrived almost immediately. With the gorgeous weather, dining on the patio was the perfect choice. It was noticeably quieter than the bustling interior, and the views added another layer of enjoyment to the meal. I think we may have just found our new favorite dim sum spot in San Francisco.

Thin and crispy pineapple like crust with the thin breading and flavorful bbq pork filling. Buttery cod that is flaky and bursting with richness. I went on labor day to celebrate a birthday and was hoping to sit in their outdoor area for the view of the bridge , but there wasn't enough staffing so we had to dine indoors. The view wasn't as nice, and plus they built pickle ball courts in the open field.

The rice noodles with shrimp were amazing, all the shumai were some of the best I've had. My biggest discovery was the hot mustard AND chili crisp combo...so good. I asked if they sold the mustard - they did not. They should. I ended up tipping my waiter to let me fill a to go container with mustard!!! Definitely going back!!

Instead, the food was brought around on a basic plastic cart, and everything came out cold. The selection also felt very limited compared with the usual dim sum favorites you can find elsewhere. For the price, I was hoping for a little more from the food quality/presentation. We were seated right by the entrance next to the hostess stand, and we felt a little rushed to order as well. Between the hostess and the aunties coming by with the carts, they wanted us to order everything at once. The tea was decent at least, and the establishment was clean. I have tried quite a few other dim sum spots nearby in a similar price range that suited my taste a little better.
