I feel fortunate that I found Future Auto Care when it was a new business. The owner, Sean, is knowledgeable, competent, ethical, and just plain nice. I feel safe when driving my car because I trust my mechanic. I have never known him to try to upsell anything when my car is in his hands. He does not nickel and dime stuff either. For example, on my way to an appointment at Future Auto Care, my car's reverse camera screen quit working. He looked up diagnostic information and got it working again without charging me anything for doing that. Just to the right side of Future Auto Care's entry door is a slot to put keys into outside of business hours. If and when my car needs to be towed, I plan on having it towed to Future Auto Care. This gives me absolute peace of mind to know what to do if I get stranded somewhere because my car is disabled. read more

After making an appointment a week in advance and getting a coupon to change brake pads I called (and they finally picked up after 6 tries) to confirm I understand how long g it'll take. To find out they can take me in today. initially it was about not doing g oil change for BMWs , I explained I needed break pads changed, the. Oil change with safety and maintenance inspection. The inspections revealed a list of needed repairs and maintenance issues. The prices were reasonable and Sean was able to get the work done after ordering the parts the same day. The receptionist, Yolanda was kind enough to drop me off at the AMC Movie Theater during her lunch break so while my car was being serviced, I enjoyed my self at the theater. He also ran a diagnostic for me and identified the reason why my dashboard has been throwing all kinds of indicator lights. OK, first off the top I think this shop is pretty good and is just going through the motions of doing business and not checking the small stuff. I am not 100% positive that the mechanics are up and up with the front office or that the front office is not listening to the mechanics. I will say they are upfront and seem pretty honest with their cost. A big plus for me when it comes to mechanical repairs. When people come and ask for my advice about a good mechanic I have recommended this place a few times. I HATE doing home oil changes because the process of getting rid of the oil sucks ass in California. I do timing chains, replace water pumps, change out alternators, replace brake pads and rotors, drum brakes (They suck), and almost anything else. I will not do two things: oil changes and automatic trans. Other than that I keep my cars up. I change the brake fluids, power steering fluids, radiator fluids, air cabin filters, and motor air filters. I did my service on the car before I had them change my oil. When I went to go check out they said I needed a new Cabin Filter, a new engine air filter, and my break fluid flushed out. I did all that before coming there. I wonder who didn't look. Was it the front office just trying to up sale me or did the mechanics not check that stuff? Did they check everything else they said they would? I will say the work they did was good. It is not hard to change the oil and rotate the tires (If they did that). I guess the hard part is keeping their schedule. Don't schedule so many people and take shortcuts on the customers' behalf. read more

Groupon coupon for Oil change, 35 point inspection. No multi point inspection was provided. When asked for one I was told business doesn't provide it. Many other shops provide a complete inspection report with items marked as Green, Yellow or Red. Even brake pads measurements are mentioned. When you buy Groupon, expect only the quick oil change. Don't expect 35 point inspection or a tire rotation. Customers will be better off buying just the oil change. read more

I made a 12/17/2022 Saturday 11 am appointment few days before for oil change and tire rotation. I got there early around 10:45 am. Mechanic with a beanie and glasses took my car in and put it on hoist and lifted. He opened the drain plug. While draining, he went back to his tool box and fiddling around on his cellphone for very long time. I didn't notice any attempt on his part to try to rotate tires. There was no more oil coming out. He was still on his cellphone. I went and asked him... Me: "Hi, can you please do tire rotation?" Technician: "you don't need it." Me: "I already paid for the rotation service." Tech: "your tires are new. you don't need it." Me: "I already paid. Look. I know they are new, but I already drove about 5000 miles on them. Can you please do the rotation?" Tech: "You don't need it. Talk to office." Instead of keep repeating myself, I went to the office. Estimator was on the phone and asked for a moment when I tried to request for rotation. I went outside to wait. Office person (estimator?) came out and handed me an estimate paper and said that my car needs all of these services especially needs a water pump replacement. LOL. Estimator tells the the technician so he finally gets onto doing rotation hesitantly... and very slowly. At this point, I am very nervous because this technician seemed very lazy, nonchalant, and does NOT care about customer's cars and what happens to them. I looked at the paper. Technician never even attempted to check for even cabin air filter or engine air filter. And yet, they claim to diagnosed other maintenance issues such as water pump replacement, brake fluid, antifreeze, and transmission fluid. Some of these maintenance lists they said my car needs right now, I have done them on my own. Now I am more alarmed because this is a dishonest business practice. It is a shady tactics these guys are playing. I just wonder how many people (who don't know about cars) became victims to these lies from the estimator. Now while I wait for the technician who moves in slow motion, I noticed that my car electronics are on and is lifted on hoist. Apparently the technician, lifted the car on ON ignition position which is right before START position for cranking the engine. I went back to office and informed him. Estimator makes noise like... "man! tsk!" then thankfully comes out and informs technician. I guess at this point estimator noticed that they don't have my engine oil filter. It seemed like technician never bothered to look for it or even bothered to notify estimator. He goes back into the office. I wait for technician to lower it and turn the key to lock position. He doesn't... I went back to office. I find out that the shop never ordered the filter and he was ordering it then. I asked him to turn my car off before battery dies. His response was... "It's not hurting anything. Don't worry. We cannot lower it since it is up there." I just told him, "ok." But I knew the part about them not being able to lower it was a lie. I go outside. I wait for technician to turn it off, but he is on the phone or looking at other car. After some time, I noticed estimator saying, "I will be back" to technician and driving away. While he was away, technician FINALLY lowers my car and turns off the car. My car electronics were on for more than an hour at that point. After some time, estimator comes back and hands the tech filter. He replaced them. Lowered the car and put some oil in. THEN the tech proceeds to tuck in 2 swing arms on only driver side and gets into the car and turns on the engine. He tried to back out with 2 OTHER swing arms under my car!!! I RAN and yelled, "WAIT!!" then I tucked in 2 swing arms on passenger side of my car myself. I still thanked both of them as I paid for the service, but I decided never to return here. I cannot recommend this place. The technician was not careful and nonchalant. Estimator's estimate was outright deceiving. I spent almost 2 hours for an oil change at this shop. Updating: No complaints about the completed work. No push on getting new brake pads, as one gets at every location after an oil change. Scheduled a groupon-purchased oil change that included a tire rotation and 35-point inspection. The oil change was done but the inspection and tire rotation was not. The explanation given me by the office admin was that I did not need my tires rotated. After driving my car for two years, I am told I do not need a tire rotation??? Really???? For real????? I did not even bother to reason out with him and his lame excuse because my car was already driven out oof the bay and parked. All their bays were full. I had already waited for 45 minutes past our scheduled appointment. I guess discounted Groupon coupons are just baits to reel in a customer. Avoid if you bought it from Groupon. I saw a deal on Groupon on brake service ($199). I called them and asked for a quote on the brake and rotor and provided the year and model of my car. They were being evasive and unwilling to provide the quote and asked me to come in because they needed to check the car. When I came in, the receptionist gave me a quote of $660 on top of the Groupon price I have paid for my car without checking my car. They don't really need to see my car. They just want to lure you in. They know if you paid the Groupon price, you have no way out and have to put up with whatever the price they provide. They already got my money via Groupon. No refund available thru Groupon. No service can be done unless I paid an addition $660. So that's probably it. I hope others can be aware of their business model and understand why they are always offering a deal. Lesson learnt but here is another tips: it would still be cheaper if you do your brake and rotor in other stores nearby after you gave up your paid coupon. read more
