As any parent knows, buying a first phone for your child can be a surprisingly emotional process. I walked in not really wanting my daughter to have a phone at all, and probably changed my mind a dozen times along the way. Through every visit, question, concern, and moment of indecision, the entire team was patient, welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. What impressed me most was that I never felt pressured. They took the time to explain options, answer my endless questions, and help me find something that made sense for both my daughter and my peace of mind. Every single employee I interacted with was fantastic, but INDIA deserves a special shout-out. She was incredibly kind, professional, and somehow managed to make the whole process feel easy--even when I'm sure I wasn't making it easy! It's rare these days to find a team that consistently delivers great customer service, but this store does exactly that. If you're looking for a new phone, upgrading, or trying to navigate the world of giving a phone to a child while secretly wishing carrier pigeons were still a thing, this is the place to go. Thank you to India and the entire team for your patience, humor, and outstanding service. You've earned a customer for life! EMMA appreciates it

This place is a real hit and miss, it just depends on whether or not you get lucky. For basic…read morerepairs I would not recommend, but if you need something specific done they may be a good option. My experience was largely positive. I requested a repair on a game console a while back. It was a 15 minute job, but required some equipment that I do not have. Labor was vastly overpriced (15 minute job, $10 for parts, $90 for labor), but it is understandable. They have to have a price floor, and the repair I needed done was short and specific. Overall, it turned out fine. The device has not had issues since, and none of my data was destroyed. Regardless, I recommend always making a backup of your data before consulting any repair company. 10/10 for my specific instance, but look out. If you are on a tight budget or do not know how to back up your data, I would perhaps practice extra discernment in your search.

I took my phone in because my phone wasn't charging, either by cable or wirelessly. They took my…read more$50 diagnostic fee and asked for two hours to investigate - I gave them four. When I returned, they said it might be the battery ($83 repair and they'd have to order it and could have it back in 7-10 days), but said it might be something to do with the screen assembly (or something like that), and that would be $178 and they had that in stock. I said fine, just get it working, as I had a surgery scheduled and needed a way to communicate with my support team. I gave them more time, and their assessment was that it wasn't that either - they said my phone showed no signs of life and I'd need to buy a new phone. But they didn't charge me the $178 after testing it to see if it would work. So, I went to Best Buy and chatted with GeekSquad for a second opinion - they told me UbreakIfix was now a mainstream repair shop, doing mainly warranty work for the major carriers, and anything beyond simple repairs wasn't their thing...and that I'd probably be able to get it fixed at a "mom&pop" shop. GeekSquad said they couldn't work on a phone as old as mine (5 years), and recommended a shop in Folsom that their customers had success with. I bought a new phone for $750 since I was already there, and was willing to risk forfeiting a $45 re-stocking fee to return it if I managed to get my phone working. I didn't go to the shop recommended by GeekSquad, but found Salmaan Phone Repair in Rocklin and he had my phone working in less than 10 minutes (I'll write a review for him, too). The issue was a bad FPC (Flexible Printed Circuit) cable - the cable that connects the charging port to the daughterboard. 2 stars for not being able to diagnose a basic power issue -1 star for telling me my phone would never work again +1 star for positive experience with the uBiF person that followed up with me when I complained about their non-refundable diagnostic fee when the diagnosis was 100% incorrect.

They were absolutely Free iPhone 16 Pro Max since the 17s were about to come out. The only stipulation was to port our numbers in, no trade in required. Verizon sent us the wrong phones just iPhone pro not Max, I was advised by multiple customer service reps that in store would be quicker and this all during our move, selling a home and purchasing one. So I go in the store met this young lady, for some reason they just couldn't do the exchange even after multiple calls to customer service 800 number, the rep insisted that there was a restocking fee but it was supposed to be waived, she ended up taking $80 for a restocking fee from my return and had to pay all over again for taxes, then she changed my plan, now my bill is $46 higher because the plan she put me in was different and it added the phones. The phones went from $9 to now $23 each. This place needs to fire everyone in here! These people would rather get over and resign you up to get a "commission" instead of doing the right thing by the customers. Yup cancelling, filling a complaint and maybe talk to someone who knows about laws, these people and company is very unprofessional and unreliable! Spent hours just trying to get my plan back where we were in the beginning and nothing! Good thing I have everything in writing so this should be an easy win! 2 tips: Don't do business with this store! And if you decide to do it GET EVERYTHING in writing! Or they will SCAM YOU!

I believe his establishment also sells used phones, phone accessories, phone plans, and cyrpto too if your into that sorta thing. When I brought it in, the owner immediately put the watch on the charger and he says, give it a few minutes. I was very grateful and thanked the owner for being honest and not trying to just take my money. I would highly recommend University Wireless.
