We arrived around 12pm and it was raining. The service was good. We were quickly seated and the servers were attentive. The ambiance is relaxed and casual. When we first got there we were the only people there and when we left it was packed. I ordered the combination fried rice, we got spicy fried chicken to share, I also got wonton soup and we got egg rolls. The spicy fried chicken was spicy but not too spicy for me. The wonton soup was flavorful. I really enjoyed the combination fried rice. It was delicious and did not disappoint. One friend came late and got the beef dry hot pot. I tried it and it was delicious too. This spot is top notch and the food is delicious. When I'm in the area again I will want to come back and if you're in the area and enjoy Asian cuisine try this place. read more

Food poisoning a couple times now. Have sent dish back probably 5 times sent they opened. Chicken used to appear white. Every so often, I have had to Complain that chicken smells bad like an industrial chemical cleaner and looks Gray & stringy. Lady immediately will tell you "it is fresh today." Nausea and Vomiting in restaurant and they just stare at you as an inconvenience. They do not show concern. Won ton soup never tastes right. Like premade can soup. Fuya Cafe has a little bit of everything. From looking at the menu, it has Authentic Chinese, Szechuan Chinese, Americanized Chinese and Thai food. It's also has some good vegetarian options. First impression when you walk into this place...it's not your typical Chinese restaurant. The seats were these big comfortable chairs for the tables, and the booths looked to have comfortable looking benches. Plates had their logo on them. It just had a nice feel when you walk in. My family and I ordered five dish. Since we have one strict vegetarian (no fish) and others who eat meat, I'm going to break them down into a Veg and non-Veg group. Vegetarian - Stir Fried String Beans (5 stars) This is a simple dish, string beans stirred fried in a delicous sauce. - General Tso's Tofu (5 stars) When I think of General Tso's, I usually think of big battered fried chucks of a protein, instead this was your fried tofu (no batter from what I can tell) mixed with a spicy General Tso's sauce. General Tso's at other places in the area were a lot sweeter than this....and I liked the level of spice in this one. - Assorted Vegetables (5 stars) A simple classic healthy Chinese dish. Mixed vegetables in a white sauce. Non-Vegetarian - Salt and Pepper Fish (4 stars) Presentation of this dish looked nice. Pile high of fried fish with garlic, fried onions, green onions and other herbs. Although, it lacked a little flavor. You have to eat the fish with all the other stuff to get some flavor. If it had some more salt and pepper (either jalapenos or white peppers), this would had been a lot better dish. - Mango Chicken (5 stars) Surprising a very good dish. I expected a chicken dish with some mangos, and what we got was soft sliced chicken mixed with chunks of mangos, bell peppers and carrots, in a brown sauce. This was simply delicous dish. I've seen this restaurant in the neighborhood for a couple of months and decided to try it out. 1st was the passion fruit tea and it was excellent. From the appetizer section I tried the Red oil Wonton. It was flavorful and bold. The chopped nuts, oil green onions, garlic, and spices made this a treat. Although it's listed as hot, I found the heat to be more in the medium range. From the lunch menu I tried the General Tso Chicken. Before going further, this was a favorite dish of mine 20 years ago. There was a restaurant in what is now uptown center that made the best general cell I had ever had. I've been trying to re-create that experience ever since that restaurant closed down. The Chicken was tender and the outside provided a much crisp crunch. The vegetables were nice and crisp and the sauce was not too sweet. This dish is hard to pull off successfully and they did a pretty good job. There is soft Asian music playing in the background adding to the experience. I'm absolutely hooked on the salt and pepper shrimp. I've tried it at just about every restaurant in the area, and this place gets it right every time. I know it's traditionally served with the shell on, but I prefer it without the shell so I can really enjoy it. The curry chicken fried rice is also incredible. I tried three different varieties of the dim sum and it was delicious. The soup dumplings with that pop of broth just hits! Spicy is my thing while the wife is not. Her Szechuan chicken was a bit spicy for her but perfect for me. I like it when spicy doesn't overpower the flavor. This was perfect. Waitstaff was very pleasant and helpful. It had apples and candied walnuts as well. I am pretty sure we had a whole apple chopped up on there. The tangerine chicken was literally just chicken, breaded and fried, but the sauce was epic. We felt like we ordered the best choices on the menu, but seeing how we have never been there, it could be all the food is that good. The service was perfect. Alrighty - this is a new spot in a newly opened strip center. I have a standard of judging Asian restaurants by their Peking Duck if they serve it. I was introduced to the dish at a place called The Peking Duck House as a kid and it set a bar that is Heaven High lol...... I have to say this place is the closest to my original spot I've ever had. The duck is cooked perfectly, the slicing and presentation is perfect. They serve it with the traditional authentic sauce and green onions. The ONLY thing that is slightly off for me is the pancakes - many years ago, most restaurants stopped making these from scratch, some use bao buns, but this spot uses prepacked thin pancakes which get the job done, but I still miss the tried and true real deal. BUTTTTTTTT - The order also comes with duck soup!!! I have NEVER had that before and either I am getting old AF or that was gooder than a mug because after one bowl I literally took a nap! We tried this for the first time last night. We ordered the Sizzling Seafood, Flat Rice Noodles with Beef, and had the Crispy Milk for dessert. Overall, the food was alright. The Sizzling Seafood had an excess of bell peppers and onions and had very little seafood in it aside from calamari rings, a few shrimp, and three thin slices of scallop. I don't think it was worth $16. The Flat Rice Noodles with Beef were pretty good--they were a bit different than traditional flat rice noodles with beef, but it was flavorful and cooked well. The Crispy Milk was more crunchy than crispy, but the flavor was pleasant. The service was fine. The two waitresses were quick and checked on us throughout our evening. We noticed, however, that the owner seemed to be checking on other tables making small talk, asking how they liked it, but didn't seem to bother checking on us. We were intrigued by the new Chinese restaurant that just opened in Missouri City, because not only do they offer Americanized Chinese food, they also have authentic chinese dishes like Peking Duck. I loved that they have a nice variety of food, although I'd say it's 80% Americanized chinese food great for takeout...which I understand because this is America and you gotta appeal to the taste buds here. I recommend the house special wonton soup, filled with veggies, chicken and freshly made wontons. My kids loved the Peking Duck, other than the addition of celery it's pretty authentic. The string beans and chicken were sweeter than I expected, and we didn't order any of the Americanized dishes like orange chicken or sweet and sour pork because they are usually too sweet for me. We did like the dumplings and bun that were handmade by the chef here, another authentic dish. We loved the interior with Jiang Nan scenery on the wall and on the plates, although their food isn't from Jiang Nan, but mostly what you would get in a Chinese take out place. Decided to do a solo dinner here after getting their brochure in my mail. Was greeted by a nice gentleman who told me to sit wherever I wanted and gave me a menu. About 2 couples were sitting waiting for drinks and to order. The waitress took everyone else's order and completely ignored me. I was just about to leave since I sat there for 12 min with a menu and no one ever came by. Upon turning around multiple times the man who sat me asked if I needed anything and I stated service. He apologized got my meal and drink order and came back quickly with my lemonade. The food arrived within 8 to 10 mon of ordering. I ordered the spicy chicken wings and the flat noodles with beef. The wings were delicious but I'm sure they gave me the regular fried wings since they had no heat taste at all. The beef noodles were amazing. Such a large portion. Amazing dinner tonight at Fuya Cafe! Our waiter Zoey was very helpful on picking out menu items as it was our first time. We started off with the chicken egg rolls for the appetizer: best egg rolls I've had! For our entree we ordered the sesame chicken and teriyaki chicken. 10/10 for both items I personally prefer the sesame chicken more ( not a big teriyaki fan).
