This is quickly becoming my FAVORITE fast food Mexican restaurant. It is Good; it is Clean; and it is reasonably priced. Their tacos are terrific and NOT routine. Consistently, I have found the staff to be friendly and helpful and very nice! I love their retried beans and rice side dishes. The casual atmosphere is relaxing, and a screened and roofed patio is a great option. I picked up plastic utensils by mistake and one of the employees offered to bring me real utensils! DISGUSTING is all I can really say, in every single way this place is absolutely disgusting. When we arrived a woman working screamed at the top of her lungs "FOOD WILL TAKE 1 HOUR" to the entire restaurant. Against our better judgement we decided to stay. By the time we got up to the counter to order the woman had screamed maybe 4 or five more times how food orders would take up to an hour to get to your table. It was busy, but not that busy. When we got up to counter another woman working informed us, and I quote "just so you know food orders will take up to an hour" Ummmmm wtf we definitely got that...it's like they wanted customers to leave and NOT spend their money there. Wtf. Food arrived in about 15 minutes to the table, and quite frankly I wish it never would have arrived because as soon as I ate it I wanted to walk across the sticky ass floor to the restroom and throw up. It was disgusting. Tasted like boiled rubbery chicken on a tortilla soaked in dish water. The rice was literally scraped off the bottom of a burnt pan. Anyone who thinks this place is good seriously has never ever tasted good authentic Mexican food. Taco Bell is better. Dog shit on a tortilla is probably better. The health department should close this place down. The building was better as a 7-11. And I've seen management comment back and all these bad reviews, please don't bother...how about change the way you do business and make better food? read more

I was completely disgusted, tonight. The manager of this Fuzzy's is completely disgusting with her staff and very sarcastic with customers. I was embarrassed by the way she spoke to people. I watched her interact with others during my entire meal. I was completely disturbed and couldn't even enjoy my meal over her rude remarks. The only reason I stayed was because of the busser--Quincy Davis. He exhibited more professionalism than the manager in charge, as he greeted every guest and asked them if he could do anything. The manager seemed to be annoyed that he wanted to help out and said repeatedly, "let me do this!!". The truth is-- she needed the help because the food was piled to the ceiling and several orders were wrong. I love Fuzzy's but this manager needs more training. Tend to go here fairly frequently but today's service was different. They gave us the wrong tacos from what we ordered (which we didn't know until getting home) and filled the to-go margaritas 1/3 full unlike every other time we have been there. Upon asking why there was so much less than usual the sales associate said "I don't know this is what I was told". I'll still try to go back but for a dinner this experience was a bit ridiculous. read more

One of my favorite places. The ease and speed of the ordering process and service is what I like. The breakfast burrito with chorizo is good. The chicken nachos are awesome with plenty of chicken and warm gooey cheese drizzled on top. I prefer the Habanero sauce over the butt burnin sauce for the heat. My friend always gets the tacos. They are crispy and look good. We always get the queso too, it is very good. read more

After waiting 20 minutes past the time my curbside was supposed to be ready the wrong order was delivered to my car. I then went inside to see that our order has not even been started yet. I understand being busy and/or short staffed but it is imperative to communicate with the customer, which The fuzzys staff chose not to do. Very disappointing. It takes FOREVERRRR to get food. Whether u dine in or carryout, I've never gotten my food in less than 25 mins. Absolutely ZERO sense of urgency here. They give you pagers, and half the time they dont page you. Then your food just sits n sits. I never see anyone managing the orders coming out. I typically get takeout bc the layout of the store is stressful, and even then theres no good place to sit to wait for food. NOT GOOD. I've lived in Los Angeles the majority of my life and needless to say I've had some wonderful Mexican food. St. Louis has very few decent Mexican restaurants and Fuzzy's is not one of them. Awful just awful service. Took half an hour to get our food. Rude staff and depressing atmosphere. My burrito was soggy and cold and everyone in my group was disgusted with their food. I wouldn't say it's authentic Mexican food, but for cheap takeout food, it's much better than average! I like the people there as well. I wish they would consider offering more sauce options (particularly vegetarian ones) -- I really don't like the queso cheese on my enchilada, but they don't have a vegetarian red sauce. Very friendly staff; with it being our first time here, we had no idea what to expect. The employee working up front was very patient about answering our questions. Service is fast, everybody is friendly. Definitely coming back to this place!! On a side note, the guacamole could have had a little more flavor, maybe some garlic and salt, definitely more lime. Mayo on Everything. they call it garlic sauce, because they mix a little bit of garlic into mayonnaise. If that's your thing, this is your place. If you actually like tacos, go anywhere else. I've been going to this Fuzzy's since they opened, used to go here a lot, but now not so frequent due to horrible service. Their food is actually bomb, they have some of the best nachos and their tacos are really good. Every time I go, there's a wait, I get it, they're busy, so you should expect to wait. But waiting upwards of an hour to receive your food is ridiculous, especially when there's 6 cooks on line. The worst thing is seeing people who ordered after you, receive their food before you. The workers are 50/50, there's nice ones and then there's very rude ones. The last time I went (7/22/19), the place was busy, waited for my food for over an hour. Every time someone asked the girl giving out the food if they could check on their order, she would look at their receipt and then look the other way and pretend to look through empty boxes. There were literally more people waiting to receive their food than people actually eating. Fuzzy's, work on your system of getting the food out, and then work on how to page your customers. That day, everyones pager didn't work and then the girl would call out their number or name once in a very loud restaurant, there were trays just sitting around getting cold or people thinking that their food came out and touching trays that didn't belong to them. I straight up saw a guy touch a taco and realize it wasn't his, put it back down, I mentioned something to said girl and she didn't remove the taco (vomit). read more

Terrible. First of all, the first time I came was with a fresh pair of Js. They were no longer fresh after stepping on the sticky floors of this place. Then I ordered some food, almost everything was overpriced for the quality that you get. If you want chips and salsa just go to Taco Bell and save yourself a few dollars. For example, when I ordered my 3 dollar taco it was nice and large but also flavorless. They only have two hot sauces and both are SWEET. When I ordered and enchilada I got a bland piece of dough and inside of it was flavorless chewy chicken. The sides of beans had no flavor and were stewed in their own juices and the rice was UNDERCOOKED. Uncle Ben could do better than this place, just don't go there read more

Ok I am just going to say it. Baja style Mexican food is totally under-represented in St. Louis!! Fuzzy's does help fill that gap with their wide variety of Baja style tacos including the tempura fish, grilled fish, tempura shrimp, and chicken fajita with their special sauce. I usually order a side of chips & salsa because I CANNOT live without chips & salsa with my Mexican food and their salsa IS tasty. The tacos are very small so surprisingly you will need to order more than what you might typically order at a Mexican restaurant. Their burritos are also amazing according to my husband who said "this is the best burrito I have ever had"!! Next time I come in I plan to try the Torta style sandwiches which is another of my favorite Baja style dishes. While I am not a beer drinker they have a broad selection of beers on tap if you enjoy having a beer with your tacos. They also have a variety of margaritas and who doesn't love a good margarita with your Mexican food from time to time huh? One more thing to love: they have these plastic cups that you can bring back with you that are refillable..... they say "Oh Queso Lets Do This!" Ingenious!! read more

The good: -$2 margaritas (12oz frozen or rocks) between 2-6 every day. -Frozen margarita had a decent amount of alcohol. -I like feta, so I enjoyed it on the tacos -Price is "fair," not super cheap but not overpriced -Nachos and queso were better than expected based on other reviews. Chili/paprika power on chips was ok. The bad: -A little turned off at the tip line on the receipt, I mean I'm ordering at a counter and you have a single expo person who is calling me up to get my own food. -Tacos overall were bland (salsa helped) -Exception to the statement above is the "garlic sauce" on the bottom of the taco that did not belong there from a taste standpoint - Wait wasn't a deal breaker but it was slower than it should be for tacos - Tempura shrimp wasn't really tempura shrimp - it might have been shredded shrimp coated in an over-cooked panko breading. I could taste shrimp a little bit, but I looked at the taco after every bit and there was never half a shrimp looking back at me. I mean, the shrimp must have been smaller than popcorn shrimp. Will I go back? Maybe. If they did deal nights on Tuesdays like the south county location it might help. I'll probably swing by and get chips/queso and a $2 margarita for a snack but that is most likely it. read more

First off, this is a fast casual taco shop. And the prices reflect that. For fast food Mexican this place is FANTASTIC. The taco sauce is absolutely addicting. And the tacos are really some of the best I have ever had and any Mexican restaurant. If you are tired of fast casual Mexican burritos, try this place. The enchiladas (not really true enchiladas) are really good non the less. Especially the ones with green sauce. And the tacos really are nearly perfect, regardless of your meat choice. As far as sides go, the Barracha beans are a super star. Most of the other sides are pretty much so-so. But the Barracha beans make this place more than just a fast casual restaurant. After a terrible first experience here back in April 2016, we gave it another shot and were quite pleased we did! The first time, the place completely ruined our order by forgetting my burrito completely and putting a garlic sauce on my mothers tacos when she asked for none and is allergic to it. The manager gave us a 10$ gift card for or troubles and was quite apologetic about it. This time was much different and it appears that they changed the way that they run things. The person expediting the orders made sure the orders were correct and was communicative and helpful. We went on $1.50 tacos where ALL of their tacos are that price! My wife had a veggie taco that was surprisingly awesome and our other folks at the table had the tempura fish and regular beef and chicken. Together we fed 10 people (6 adults and 4 children) for under $40! Drinks included... Will definitely go back here after this place has apparently fixed its mistakes. read more

I've been a frequent customer of the Watson Rd location. This location is rather new and I decided to give it a try. As expected, the service is top-notch (maybe even a little faster than the Watson location as I feel Manchester hasn't reached Watson's popularity yet). HORRIBLE SERVICE......FROM THE GM RYAN! I called and was ordering nachos to go and I asked for all toppings on the side I don't live close and don't want them to get soggy. I was told "we will see what we can do" I said well it's almost a deal breaker if you can't do this, I don't want soggy nachos. I was then told " we are busy I'll see what we can do" so I did not say anything until I get my order and in my car. I get the nachos and guess what they have the meat on the nachos. So I call back and the person who took my order was the GM. He didn't seem to care at all that they messed my order up after I was very specific. Not to mention I've only been to this Fuzzys 5 times and EVERY SINGLE time it has been messed. (They forgot 50% of my order last time and had to return TWICE to make it right, not once have I even gotten an apology or ANYTHING) Now I have not called before bc I try not to be petty. Not going to lie I cussed when first speaking to RYAN which he asked me to watch my language and I respectfully did. But this pushed me over. I said I will not return to this place and don't be surprised when I go online to trash them. The GM RYAN said it was ridiculous I was so mad over nachos and hung up on me. I called back then and only then did he offer a refund but it was way too late at that point. I said I'm so mad over nachos I want your managers number and he said he doesn't have a boss, he is it. I asked if he owned Fuzzy's to which he replied "I know the owner". So I said well then you do have a boss and I want his number. He REFUSED to give me the number and said "if I wanted it I need to figure it on my own." He said I yelled at him for 10 mins, (my phone log says different) and he wont give me anyone's number and HUNG UP AGAIN. I am waiting for a call from the owner but I will not returning to FUZZYS while they employ someone like this. I actually like the food but out of principle I will NOT eat there for the REST OF MY LIFE bc I will not give business to someone who acts like that! Just not impressed. Tacos are served cold? Why? Who does that? Had a soft shrimp tempura. It was a bit greasy but ok. Chicken Soft Shell was cold and no flavor. Pork taco left a filmy taste from the grease cause it was cold. I may give them another shot and try a burrito or something but I doubt it. Tacos are average but don't come if you're hungry because the tacos are VERY small. They weren't shy at all about showing me the tip line on the reciept when I paid for my party of 3. When I went to the window because you have to retrieve food tray yourself TWO employees looked at me. Knowing I couldn't carry 2 large trays on my own. Neither offered to assist. They just watched me. Good thing they got that tip up front I guess. So I order myself, pick up myself, and then clean up tray myself after I'm done eating. They don't even refill drinks. What EXACTLY am I tipping for??? I doubt we will be back. They don't speak English worth a damn at el maguey but at least they try and help. Disappointed. read more

For the type of experience my family was looking for, this was very close to 5 stars. The line to order moved swiftly, I had a huge mug of beer in hand before heading off to secure a table ... and the food and alcohol prices were beyond reasonable for such high-quality. It really can be hard to find a place that features good Mexican food, cheap prices, fast service, has plenty of drink options ... and is comfortable and family-friendly. The only shortcomings were not listing beer prices (though at $3 for an 18 oz. beer, it's all good) and not keeping tables cleaned (though it was dinner time on a Sat, very busy). I decided to give this place a two star rather than one only because of the uniqueness of the building, but the food was rather gross. And the service was even worse. I had the kid I nanny with my friend at out table and she told me I was to old for kids menu even though i had a child at other end, I waited 30 minutes After ordering for my food. And when they called my number they forgot everything but one taco. I would not be taking the time to talk about this place if I had not spent $39 on three tacos , chips salsa. Oh and also the lady handing out the orders accused my friend and I of not ordering our salsa when we paid for it and had proof but she threw the receipt and rudely handed out cold food! read more

I just finished my second visit and tried their soft fish tacos with grilled fish. Last visit I tried the fried fish soft taco. Wow, have they "dumb downed" the taco. Let me tell you something. I totally and completely love all the food at Fuzzy's - however, this location is always a little rough. The main issue seems to be the turnover in employees, I'm there all the time and the staff is constantly changing. Not sure why this is such an issue here, but it causes an issue due to lack of training. Half the time I go there's something wrong with someone in my party's order. This time we went for the Tax Day $3.00 large margaritas and they had one person working front of house. They had a guy on expo, running the food and two cooks. The front of house guy was too busy taking orders to be making drinks (as was his responsibility in this location) which caused a huge backup in tickets. Fuzzy's was advertising this special so they should have had an extra person to help run the bar, but they hadn't so the expo guy tried to help but confused the salt and sugar for the margaritas and didn't wash his hands before he started making drinks and stick his hands inside a glass when grabbing it and was putting limes in the margaritas. Overall I'll be back for the food because I'm addicted, but I don't go here for a quick meal. read more

Was in STL for business. We ended up at Fuzzy's for lunch and I'm glad we did. It was super busy and definitely looked like the spot to be. I got the taco plate with tempura fish, rice and black beans. The rice was bland but the beans were well seasoned. The tacos were fresh and delicious.
