Outstanding "cantina"-style Mexican restaurant based out of the Webster Groves area. I've been a frequent customer to this location for awhile now. The staff has always provided a pleasurable experience and the manager once paid for my entire meal out of my loyal appreciation for the establishment. The tacos are certainly where it's at with Fuzzys. I suggest the Tempura Fish and/or Spicy Pork taco if you're new. Their use of fresh tomatoes/pico alongside feta cheese goes over great. Beware of the Nacho plate...while it is good, it's very very large in helping size. Draught and bottled beer is plenty alongside the margarita concoctions. Definitely try the latter. read more

Fuzzy's definitely does not live up to its hype...I've heard so much hype about this place for many years that I finally tried it out yesterday (08/16/16)...omg this place can get disgusting. Where do I start? It took me 15 mins to stand in line to order the food and there were probably about 6 people in front of me. It took over 30 mins to receive food. It looked like the people that ordered their food Togo got their orders first. We finally got our food The trays they served our food on had water all over them, like they just rinsed the trays off with water and reused them. Trash was over flowing and flies all over the place. There were a ton of tables with trays and trash on (common people clean up after your self). People raved about their nachos. We ordered them, there was barely any meat on them and less than 10 jalapeños for 50 cents extra? I mean I asked for extra jalapeños. Nachos were average, they went omg yum like everyone raves about. We also ordered street tacos, couldn't really tell what was what. They have a funky smell to them....maybe it was the tortillas. But way too much lettuce and not enough meat. Prior to this visit. We tried to dine here a few days ago on a Saturday. The entire place smelled like bleach/cleaning supplies and food mixed. We had left because I couldn't stand the smell. I cannot believe we have just discovered Fuzzy's and its been around for awhile! In the mood for mexican, we didn't want to go to the regular places, we wanted something new. Thanks to the Yelp app, we saw that Fuzzy's was near by and decided to try it. Seeing how long the line was, we knew we were in for something good and boy were we right! The location is great, and easily accessible. The restaurant itself is airy, and welcoming and ready to show folks a good eating time. You order at the front, be sure to keep your soda cup if you order that as you can get refills with it each time you come. Their beer and margaritas are to die for and their prices fit budgets perfectly. Their menu is huge - and with a wide variety. We ordered their jalapeno appetizer, then a bunch of different tacos and their chicken nachos. All came out hot and ready to eat with nothing left on the plates. Our first time to Fuzzy's Taco Shop located at 8073 Watson Road, just west of Laclede Station Road. Heard of it from several friends who had already been and thought today was as good a day as any to try Fuzzy's. I'm glad we did! Andrew greeted us at the front counter and was VERY helpful since this was our first time to eat with them. Ended up getting the nachos for $5.99 - HUGE order of VERY fresh chicken, some kind of special sauce and cheese . . . boy, it was good! Also ordered the Taco Plate with two hard shell tacos (one chicken and the other ground beef) and they were loaded! REALLY, REALLY, good. The Taco Plate comes with two side choices - I chose black beans and the fiesta rice. Great choices too. Normally wouldn't order all of this food, but since it was our first time, decided to sample. Great selections and thanks to the hospitality of Andrew . . . he mentioned that he is heading to Boulder, CO pretty soon . . . so you had better get over there before he leaves! the burritos here are fine, if a bit bland. you know a mexican restaurant is really defined by the queso dip though, and the queso dip here is nasty. we've gotten it three times now and it just tases like someone mixed a bunch of flour, skin milk and processed cheese together without adding any seasoning or anything. queso should taste like queso, not milk dip! read more

Fuzzy's is a super fun place. Not the fanciest, but sometimes that's okay. Keep in mind, it's all counter-service - you order at the front and they say your number and you pick it up. At the end of your meal (if eating in), you pick up your tray and clean up your mess. No waiters/waitresses. Fine. I've tried many of their tacos (which are street style, unless you request flour tortillas), but my favorites were the spicy pork (which is a hit-or-miss), shrimp, fish, and crawfish. I haven't ventured out to far into their menu past the tacos, but I have also tried their nachos and chicken quesadillas. The nachos were typical - nothing special, as were the quesadillas. I have better of both, but that's why they're called a "taco shop". The show stopper here are their drinks - they literally stick a small bottle of champagne in one of their margaritas! Beer-ritas galore! So many concoctions. It takes me back to my undergrad days. They have a really good "Sangrita" (Sangria + Margarita). Even the basic margarita is pretty strong. And it's a lot of drink for cheap - $3.95-8.95. Makes for a fun, low maintenance night out. Both locations are great - Manchester and Watson. I'll definitely be back! read more

The front of the shop is set up awkwardly to create the line, making it difficult for people to come in sometimes. I was amazed at all the drink choices and noticed they have some awesome specials. I'll be back for the drinks, not for the food. The chips are good. Another review suggested the queso, which was just okay. After a few bites, I decided it tasted like American cheese and that pretty much did it in. The salsa was fine. I got a chicken taco, which was super bland. To be totally honest with you I didn't really expect much from Fuzzy's Taco Shop, however since stopping by to just give it a try I have to admit I was wrong. Fuzzys offers really good food with a friendly staff all in a fun and festive atmosphere. I haven't had a chance to try any of the drinks, however they do have a bar so you can enjoy a beer or margarita while watching Sunday football or even over a quick lunch. Very slow service for a few tacos. Even after it had calmed down. The tacos were pretty bland, like they hadn't seasoned the meat. The chips and salsa were decent, hence the second star. Great product but not so great staff. We ate here the first time a few months ago, dine in. Waited 25-30 minutes for food. Food was good through. Kitchen staff looked lethargic and disoriented. Tried again today, alone, take out order. This time waited 20 minutes, not as bad. But again kitchen staff was looking slow as molasses. Older gentleman wiping trays at a rate of about 1 per minute let out a big phlegmy cough into his glove then continues to grab the next tray. Some of their Mexican food is delicious (try the pulled pork nachos, and burritos), great drink specials, and prices that I SWEAR must be from 1990! Free Wi-Fi and a spacious dining area make this a cool place to hang out, or watch the game on the ample TV's. I've been here multiple times, and you HAVE to get the Pulled Pork Nachos. It's an interesting mix - pulled pork, queso, salsa fresca and feta cheese - but it's a great pairing! And at only $5.99, this is the most nachos I've seen at any comparable place. Their breakfast platters are also a deal - a full plate of food, including breakfast potatoes and beans for only around $6. I don't recommend th ear tacos; although they put a great selection of sauces and favors in their burritos and nachos, the same can't be said for tacos, they're simple, but also not very flavorful. They have a solid selection of beer, including the regular expected big boys (Bud Light, Coors, etc) as well as some unexpected surprises, like 2 drafts of Goose Island for only $4 for a HUGE 23 ounce mug. I kind of like this place! I still don't really understand the feta being used in a Mexican restaurant, but the shredded beef on the salads is awesome. Everything is pretty good-and the kitchen staff is hilarious. Lots of TVs with various games on, but not as loud as Buffalo Wild Wings. We seem to stick with an order of guacamole, and either the shredded beef or grilled shrimp salad. It's iceberg mix, but the dressings are good and the portions are huge. This is my new favorite for non-fancy Mexican food. The place has a family or group friendly vibe and laid back atmosphere. The food is super fresh and you get tremendous value for the price. I am actually from Fort Worth Texas, the location of some the original Fuzzy Taco's. When I heard they were going to open up shop in STL I couldn't have been more excited. The mexican food scene in STL really SUCKS but Fuzzy's Taco has come to save the day with a healthy dose of Tex-Mex!! Forget what you know about mexican food and come enjoy a fresh fish taco or perhaps a filling breakfast burrito! I have now been to this location 4 or 5 times (as I live in Wentzville). I have never been disappointed. I normally order the cherizo, egg, and potato burrito for breakfast and it is SOOO good. I always have a cup of the Texas Pecan coffee and enjoy a delicious breakfast with friends that reminds me of home. read more

Should of been a EEK! by the customer service, or shall I say attitude that I received by one female cashier and the GM; but I gave it a Meh...since the food overall was pretty decent. I am going to start out by saying that I am forty plus and in food service (don't pre-judge me now...I am not a food snob by any means, I said that their food was pretty decent). My experience was later on a Friday evening, well after regular dinner hours. I started out by getting one their burritos with a side of rice and a nice Mexican beer. Well, since I had started eating so late, this did not yet satisfy me; therefore I ordered their chicken nachos. My nachos took a very long time for them to prepare (I am sure that the two cooks were probably at this point pretty tired from their long evening of orders); so I went up to the self service window to check on my order and the one of the cooks sort of rudely tells me that they call out your name or whatever as soon as your order is ready. Cool, I was just checking since nothing had been coming out of the window for a while now. Nachos finally ready...looks good at first glance...two bites into it on the right side a hair, no huge deal, although kind of a long piece, stuff happens, like I previously mentioned I too are in food service. Several more bites, now working onto the mid-left section of my nachos. Another hair. This time, shorter and black; but the hair is stuck within the melted cheese sauce. Now, I have had enough and just want my money back at this point. So, I proceeded to go back up to the cashier and told her my story about the two hairs and how I had excused the first one and that I understood that things happen. Next comes out one of the cooks and he starts out by looking at me, then looking at my almost half eaten nachos and tells me that "this isn't my hair" and looks at me some more....oh, I have black hair as well. I then said to him "hey, just give me my money back, end of story". No apologies, anything, just a lot of body language out of the cook. I finally was to my wits end and asked to see the manager, he tells me that he Is the Manager. Well, I come from a customer service background and proceeded to tell him that this is not how you handle your customers. Did I also mention that with me came two entire tables of adults that each had two drinks a piece and some more than one dinner each. Well, I can't stop the others in my group from ever coming back; but for me I am done. I will be going to another establishment that for the same price or less takes your order, brings me my Mexican or Tex-Mex, has real salsa, not hot sauce and appreciates my business. If I could no star for this place I would. On Sunday 2-10-2019 we decided to stay inside and order food. After searching place we agree to try Fuzzy's Taco. My husband called to place a order and they told him it will be ready in 5 minutes. That moment we should of said NO to the food, but didn't think any of it. Figured since it's a crappy weather they're just not busy. When my husband brought food home for us to eat every single idea was cold. The potatoes look like they where cooked 2 days prior and dried out. The rice head green peas in it you really head to look up really close to tell it was peas because they where dry as well. The side of beans where so disgusting the first bite I tried I end up gagging it was making wane puke. It head to be couple of days old. That will be the last time I eat there. read more

Mixed review. I used to frequent both this location and the Manchester (Old Orchard) location. Now I'm not sure which (if any) location I should return to. The reason being? Inconsistency. On one occasion the meal was outstanding. On my last visit the meal was questionable. Like, is the queso sauce that drenches the cheese and bean nachos just warm milk? Seriously, that's what it looked and tasted like. In addition, what's with the couple of black beans randomly scattered on top of a mountain of soggy tortilla chips that tasted like stale grease. You guys are better than this. The latin fried potatoes that accompanied my taco platter were also cold. I got my order to go. Lukewarm fried taters- somewhat excusable. Cold nachos- inexcusable. False Advertising. I am from Arizona. I have spent about 7 years in Mexico just in travel/work/vacations alone. This is NOT Mexican food- not even close. I can deal with the fact that this is the mid-west and they should stick to BBQ, so anyone from here would fall for this joke and think they're eating Mexican food. Honestly, Taco Bell has better food than this place. I was unimpressed with their "everything covered in cheese" slop that they served. Taste was bland and my toilet paid the price shortly after. I went on "Taco Tuesday". I waited in line for about 40 minutes, as each person got to the front of the line to place their order (they had 40 minutes to look at the GIANT menu) each and every person stared at it like a deer in the headlights and said, "Ummmmmmmm......". I felt bad for them, I was thinking that just breathing the air in there made everyone stupid. Turns out it's just mid-westerners. Just kidding... not really though. I realize I am biased in my review but was incredibly unimpressed with EVERYTHING about this place. It was a real let-down for me and I won't be back. I also think they need to re-label their "restaurant" to "modern mid-west Mexican cuisine" so outsiders like myself know what they're getting into. I truly want to say something positive about this place but I simply cannot. What's not to love? Fast, fresh, friendly, tasty and super inexpensive, $10 or less per person! I'm hooked! I've only been to this location during the lunch rush and as busy as it was recieved my order in 5 minutes or less every time. Surprised by how generous the portions are, the Lil' Salad is hardly lil'... I've tried a few things, like them all but I'm in love with the Queso and Chips. Be prepared to wait. Sometimes there can be extremely long lines. But the food is worth the wait. This is so much better than many Mexican places out there. The cheese enchiladas and shredded beef tacos are what I usually get and they are so good. I will go wait in line for seconds. Friendly service and a cleanly atmosphere tops off a great experience. Please just don't expect quiet, there is a lot of noise, especially, on trivia night! If you haven't tried Fuzzy's, it's definitely worth the trip. read more

Just ate at Fuzzy's and this is the second time now that the service has been absolutely terrible. It's as if they forgot our order - we had to stand at the counter and wait for them to make it. I'm judging this purely as a family restaurant/place to bring kids. My standards are lower for this category. Would I come here if I didn't have a 3 year old? Probably for lunch or breakfast tacos. For dinner - it has some solid points: 1) Affordable kid's menu with different choices. My son is a very picky eater but he ate his taco and some of his rice. It was a lot of food for a little kid but older kids (like 10 year olds) would probably be fine with it. 2) Lots of options: I got the shredded beef taco which was pretty good. The queso was also good. Chips were a bit too salty. 3) It was fast: We probably only waited 5 minutes for our food. Not long at all 4) Very kid friendly. Almost every other table had kids. Plus, instead of napkins, each table has a roll of paper towels. Dream come true with messy kids. read more

It's not fancy. However food is good, the staff is always nice the drinks are cheap and strong and for these reasons it's always packed! In fact everything here is priced cheap with great portions. It's been so packed that I've waited in line outside the door during rain. I'm giving it 4 stars for the combination of things not just food alone. Things I love here, quesadillas are stuffed with the fixins, chips and queso are divine and their salads are huge. I only prefer their fajita chicken in my salad. In fact their salads are the craveable item. They're served in metal bowls to keep them chilled and less soggy. Their secret ingredient is cilantro in the salads that brings out the flavors of the dressing etc. It's my go to item. I just don't feel their ground beef or shredded pork is seasoned well. Being a traditionalist, I know Mexicans don't eat ground beef we only do well seasoned shredded beef or pork. But hey this place is a mild form of TexMex with cheap food and drinks that's fun to hang out in. Just what we need sometimes. read more

We ordered from Fuzzy's for a birthday dinner on a Thursday night when we work late at my office. Everything was great - chicken had good flavor, boss loved his brisket burrito, and the portions are ridiculous! The chips were very disappointing, though. I was so excited for the chips and queso, but I wish I would have passed on them, actually. Hardly any of the chips had the special fuzzy dust, but they all had an abundance of grease - very shiny and tasted stale. Disappointing since I passed on other side dishes and was hoping to use the chips for my burrito bowl, too. The portion was huge, but it will all go to waste. read more

An interesting spot that is almost like qdoba and almost like a tex-mex bar. There are some unusual options and my favorite is the shrimp tempura (fried shrimp that you can put in most dishes). It is a much wider menu than chipotle or qdoba but you still order at the front. I've only been for lunch so I haven't tried their margaritas or anything. Their guacamole is pretty good but I still haven't figured out this texas chain's niche. I will be back at least the next time I crave shrimp in my mexican food. Check it out.
