FYT Gym is the only gym I've ever been a member of and felt that sense of community. All of the coaches are welcoming, knowledgeable, motivating and great teachers. They focus on not only giving you a great workout, but also making sure you have fun doing it! There are classes for everyone - boxing, kickboxing, FYT Camp (bootcamp style workout stations), TRX, and even Yoga and Pilates!! The addition of Yoga offerings at this gym has been a real GAME CHANGER! They have a new Tuesday 6am Pilates and Yoga class with Coach Krista that will leave you feeling lighter, taller and more agile the next time you come in to box. It's the perfect add-on to all the demanding workouts, allowing your body to recover, stretch and strengthen in ways you can only accomplish on the mat. If 6am is too early for you there is Yoga on Saturday morning at 9am with Coach Melanie too! Such as perfect way to start the weekend. If you've been avoiding gyms in the past because they seem intimidating or pretentious, pop in for a free class at FYT GYM and you won't regret it!

The coaches somehow manage to keep a room full of energetic kids focused, which honestly deserves its own championship belt. Rumor has it that after a few months here, kids stand taller, work harder, and suddenly start cleaning their rooms. I can't confirm the last one, but the confidence boost is definitely real get it

This is based on lack of professionalism. And a business that has coaches who are not being a multi-faceted role models and be involved. Coaches not not fully engaged in the indivuals training. I understand that coaches may be overwhelmed with multiple responsibilties training many athletes, managing schedules , or handling commitments. But this place needs improvement with communication, coaches need to be actively involved (NOT JUST PRESENT). Since January this year I referred one of dear friends to this place and pay for the invidiual sessions. Only to be disappointed that the trainers dont create training plans and understand feedback or show motivation and support. We validate by improvement and monitor progress because this is needed as this is a skill development by encouragment and positivity. In this case Coaches need to understand everyones perspectives and be more involved. (NOT ALWAYS ON THE PHONES) I am extremely disappointed and hope this business can be more involved with their customers. I have launched an investigation and a follow-up.

I repeatedly told her we were there to sign up for the gym, but she continued being aggressive for absolutely no reason, all in front of my children. She got out of her car and tried to fight me. Seemed to be on some type of drugs. I went inside pissed at this point to ask who was running the place because this woman was causing a scene outside. Instead of handling the situation professionally, she jumped into the boxing ring and told me to fight her. This place is trashy, low-class, and completely unprofessional. I walked in ready to spend money and left disgusted. As a nurse, I would never attend a place like this or bring my children into an environment where this kind of behavior is tolerated. If this is how potential customers are treated, I can't recommend this place to anyone. Don't bother.

Man, was I in for a rude awakening! I ended up booking an Advanced Bagwork class, which the staff recommends attendees doing 10 of the Undefeated, Strong & Champ classes before attempting. All the classes at Mayweather are HIIT (high intensity interval training). Short intensive sets, followed by a few seconds of rest. Having my hands wrapped up, boxing gloves on, I was ready to throwdown. The Advanced Bagwork class is exactly what I wanted. Mainly throwing punches on the various heavy bags & BOB's (body opponent bags), with some cardio from rowing machines, ropes & balance trainers. A few seconds of rest before moving on the next station. I kept switching from orthodox to southpaw, balancing out my stances. Loud hip-hop music blaring through the speakers helped the energy remain high, as we threw different combos & punched until exhaustion. The staff were great. They were friendly, accommodating & eager to wrap hands & provide support, when needed. Damian was the Advanced Bagwork instructor, and he was easy to follow & motivational. Mayweather Boxing + Fitness is located on the 2nd St. side at the Marketplace Long Beach, left of Stretch Lab & CPK, behind Trader Joe's. I was huffing & puffing for air, deltoids on fire, with my first two fingers on my left hand going numb from punching too hard/too much. And, it was all good! I felt great throwing all the jabs, crosses, hooks & uppers. The tension of the day melted away with each thump on the bags. No problem with parking and next to it is the Trader Joe's. Across the street is Whole Foods. Healthy restaurants and cafes are just few steps away. I cannot complain. I have conveniences around me. Cleanliness,a major part to the gym quality,is not an issue here. Bathroom is super clean! They always go around and hand you sanitizing wipes. Full service! After researching several places, I found this one, and I can honestly say I highly recommend it. My background is mainly in fitness classes at the gym and dance classes--I have zero martial arts experience. I initially signed up for a trial, but then I saw they offered a six-week challenge with three classes a week and monitored nutrition. I thought, "Why not?" and decided to sign up for the full six-week challenge to get the complete experience. I've been blown away by how much my life has changed. Not only did I lose about 10 pounds in just three weeks, but it has also helped with my mental health and allowed me to learn so much about myself. The instructors are great at guiding you--they correct your form in a way that helps you learn how to throw punches and do combos correctly, so you can defend yourself properly if you're ever in a dangerous situation. The other students in the class are incredibly supportive, no matter their level. There's a strong sense of community, which has made learning the drills and combos much easier. Alan and Candace are awesome teachers and do a fantastic job instructing. I completely recommend attending this Krav Maga school if you want to learn self-defense, be in a comfortable, family-friendly environment, develop new skills, get in shape, and find a sense of community. At least take the free trial class to see if it's a good fit for you! But if you want to lose weight, I highly recommend the six-week challenge. Invest in yourself!!

He has challenges with focus and self-control at times which is precisely why we wanted to enroll him in the Krav Classes. He started in the Lil Dragons program, and after about 4 months he was promoted to the Juniors program because he was doing so well. HERE is where it gets sad...he was told we would "trial" the Juniors class to see how he would do. After 6 weeks, he having difficulty with focus and self-control in the larger setting, but was making improvements over the last few sessions based on staff report and my observation. This past Tuesday, he wasn't paying attention and accidentally punched another kid in the face with his glove on (not hard but I'm sure it still hurt...he apologized to the child and resumed the class). I recommended that we put him back in the smaller class considering that my son was thriving in Lil Dragons, and he was consistently practicing safe partner work in Lil Dragons so there is no reason he would not thrive there again. Trying out lil Dragons to see how he does again posed no risk to anyone's safety. He just has ongoing challenges with focus and self-control which impacted his performance overall in the larger class. My son in a smaller class size would have more adult support and less distractions which would ultimately help him focus. This issue with the partner work the other day was not aggression, it was a lack of focus that resulted in a punch to someone's face (focus is precisely what a smaller class would support and DID support as of 6 weeks ago). 360 Krav's response was that he wouldn't be appropriate for the Lil Dragons class either (even though he was doing so well there 6 weeks ago that he was promoted!)...effectively expelling him from the program altogether. How 360 Krav has handled this is totally unacceptable. You promoted him to "try" out a new class...it was not a good fit, and now you are not letting him go back to the class that he was successful in. This is a disgraceful way to teach...you are literally punishing a child for being brave enough to try something new and then failing at it.
