First time visiting this bbq joint and we were so impressed! The tri tip sandwich was loaded with meat and it was tender and juicy with great flavor. The hamburger with a slice of tri tip was unusual but loaded with deliciousness! Their jalapeño cole slaw had a nice pop of flavor and the beans were some of the best we have tried. It's pretty good, but super expensive. $75 b4 tip for the 2 of us. Hubbys ppate lasted 2 meals, tho! The potato salad is the highlight for me! They moved the tatables around, so it's inconvenient to get to the bathroom now, but other than that, it's cute inside and there is outside seating, too. Used to come here several years ago and the sauce was so good you wanted straw. The second owner kept it just as good. Then a few years go these new owners changd the sauce. Tastes like katchup, worchestershie and black pepper. No real good flavor. Entry is dirty. No lemons for iced tea and the soda machine was out of order. Whole place was just dingy. Sandwiches were ok but fries were loaded with a seasoned salt. Could not eat them. Need to find a better place. read more

Out of towner here, originally from SoCal, and an absolute admirer of good bbq. The inside is cozy and intimate, you can feel the warm reception from the employees soon as you walk in through the door. They'll give you some recommendations on their menu, but I personally loved the sampler sliders and the beef ribs are giant and delicious. Also, they have a selection of interesting sauces besides their original house sauce. I loved the Doctor Pepper & Honey Habanero. Service is on point and would highly recommend to anyone who's staying in town or driving through. I'd say make a pit stop for grab some bbq. read more

Not enough MMs in mhm and mmmmmmmmmm to describe their barbecue: the sauce was not overly smoky or sweet, and had just enough fire in it to tempt me to nick my lower lip with my razor so that I could get that tangy zinngggg that the spicyhot sauce has. Very nice people: cool weather tables out back to eat on when it's not too hot and/or windy. A bit pricey. They didn't waste our time despite it being busy at 5:00 PM: our order was on the table in front of us before we finished hearing the first untrue tale from out good friend and mentor, Jim. Just kidding. About the untrue tale, not the food. Excellent service, busy place. Get there early if you want to park within walking distance when they're busy, especially when the temps are over 100°. read more

Went in the get the one usually consistent meal I enjoy for a to go order. Ordered said meal, clearly got something that wasn't what I ordered. Yes made from the same bird but not even close to what I wanted. Called to ask about it and was given one of the worst uninformative answers I've ever heard. I guess its to hard to have employees know their own menu well enough to let customers know "that item isn't offered any longer, would you like to try something else". I seriously feel bad for any business these days, they have some of the worst people in the gene pool to hire from. The mystery chicken sandwich was not good either. Pasty and bland, one small sad tomato slice with a comically big piece of lettuce. The mac and cheese was good! Im all about supporting local small businesses and even paying a bit more knowing its for a local business. First, I must mention: I admire, from a customer point of view, Eric's BBQ joint. He did something ain't been done and he did it very very well. He brought real smoked BBQ to us! I just got the Sampler Platter and a side of brisket to check the new flavor profiles out and I am well impressed. So impressed I'm gonna say it. I liked it just a sliver better than BDE's. Loads of similarities, but... I dunno... did y'all change wood as well? The meats were tender, very juicy and flavorful. Seasoned perfectly. Sliced perfectly. Smoked heavenly. Someone is paying attention. Super nice. (To be sure: I had the pork ribs, the pulled pork, the tri-tip, and the brisket.) The portions were honest and plenty. I actually had too much potato salad, but ya know... I ate it all anyways. I even ate the very moist and tasty corn muffin. Yes, it's heresy for some with curses and abomination following my days. Really great food still and love the new menu options! Being able to get shredded chicken on our salads was awesome! Chipotle ranch just as good as ever too! And those croutons were even better! I was not impressed. First of all, after seeing the pictures on their facebook page I was excited to try the onion rings, but actually they don't sell onion rings. Hmm maybe don't stack onion rings next to your food on a plate. I ordered their specialty burger for the day, a guacamole pepper jack cheeseburger. I took the Guac on the side because it was a to go order. First the Guac had No taste, second the burger had NO cheese, and lastly my Medium requested burger was Beyond Well done. Very disappointing. Totally shocked Chino valley has a bbq spot this good. Great prices, huge portions, and delicious. Food was ready in 10 minutes and my 2 year old daughter and I are very satisfied. We've been customers of Big Daddy's for years and gave the new owners a chance. The order we picked up yesterday was overcooked and dry. The sampler plate has always been good to share but this time the pulled pork was so dry, the brisket overcooked and tough and the ribs burnt and dry. They gave us a big amount of BBQ sauce to offset the dryness I guess? Sides were ok, mac & cheese and beans...just overall not the same quality. Sad. I eat here every once in a while and I had to call them today just to let them know how dang amazing there food is. The chicken skin is crisp and the meat is moist. Everything taste so damn good from this place, from the bread to the ribs. I'm not trying to over hype them before you go eat here but quite frankly if you don't like their food you probably can't taste and should just keep eating whatever trash you usually eat.
