DRY DONUT IN THE MORNING? The cleanliness and organization of the inventory was excellent and the bakery looked fresh and amazing. Watched as customers removed fresh bread from the bins and ordered pastry. The huge vanilla frosted cinnamon buns looked wonderful, but the employee could not remove the wax paper from the bottom of the bun, just watched in awe as the paper tore. Out of desperation, I went with the glazed donut. The woman placed the donut into a plastic clam shell container and went to devour it inside of my vehicle. I asked the woman to please heat it up but refused. The first bite was a massive disappointment. The donut was dry dry dry and the glaze was cracking. This was early morning, so no way possible they baked this donut the last few hours. The bakery prices were excellent but the taste and quality of the final product was bad. read more

Wow, over a year since my last update! Store is pretty much the same. Prices on most items have gone up 20% or more, just like other stores. Items which were a "bargain", are no longer so. Their prices are lower than other stores on many items, but a good deal is few and far between these days. read more

This place reminds me of Presidente and Bravo down in Broward. Upon arrival into store, I was greeted by several workers, great customer service. Love the seafood area, being a pescatarian that's a huge plus to be able to get fresh seafood. Store was organized and clean, I was able to find exactly what I needed. And the prices were reasonable as well. I will be back. read more

This supermarket does not honor its advertised prices or sales. I visited this morning and they refused to sell items at the price shown in both their flyer and on the seafood counter display. After about 15 minutes of discussion, an employee came over and changed the posted price, but the right thing to do would have been to honor the advertised and displayed price. It felt like a bait-and-switch tactic to bring customers into the store. The employee at the counter was very polite and helpful, but management made a poor decision here. Refusing to take a small loss to uphold advertised pricing risks damaging customer trust and creating negative publicity. read more

I was getting my car washed and noticed Western Beef has been replaced by Gala Fresh Farms. Excited to see a new produce market I couldn't wait to go inside. Not sure if Western Beef changed their name, or if this is a new company that took over the location. The big difference is, it's definitely cleaner than its predecessor, other than that, it looks exactly the same and gives the same Western Beef vibes. I was never a fan, so this new store just doesn't do it for me. read more

I ordered groceries on uber eats for my home, per my niece's request I got her the Scooby-Doo! fruit snacks. I opened the box and gave her one of the little bags, she came back and asked me why they tasted funny. I love the meat and the produce here. They have a large variety of fruits and vegetables that you cannot find nowhere else around here and it is also very well organized and clean. The meat section is also amazingly well organized and with great prices. I was just told in my last visit that they can also clean the meat and cut for you if you need which is wonderful. And last but not least the fish section is absolutely fantastic with knowledgeable people working there and fresh fish with unbelievable prices. Oh I almost forgot the deli !! Boars Head cold cuts much cheaper than Publix. I love this place read more

I started shopping here just when Gala opened. I like it and enjoy shopping here. The variety is fun. I love that they sell cracked corn I use to feed ducks. The cold room full of meats etc is cool. (Bring a jacket if shopping in there). One has to know the prices around town to come out ahead. And you have to find out like anywhere whats good and whats not. Conveniently located in a shopping center with thai food (Chow Thai), a dollar store and Jiffy Lube. Cashier Service has been great since they have not been busy when I shop there. I just wish they sold fresh lemongrass and galangal but maybe there are not enough thai food cookers and asians in that area to buy it. No one else has it either, just some asian markets I shop at. read more

I just visited Gala fresh Farms and in no way is it anything like its predecessor. Newpredecessor new shelves,beautifully stocked. More inviting than many other markets in the area. The only reason I had not given it, five stars is because I have not done any comparison shopping. If you don't go and see for yourself, you are really missing out on seeing how things can change. read more

I went in to buy some seafood that was advertised for a great price. However, I lost my appetite when I saw that the entire uncovered seafood display area was in a cloud of construction dust. I don't understand why they'd expose the seafood to these elements! Luckily wine was on sale & I purchased that. I'll give it a try in the future, but management should reconsider this unhealthy operation. read more

I stopped going to this location when it was Western Beef because of the poor quality and high prices. I noticed that this location is now Gala Fresh, so I decided to shop here and see what it was all about. Nothing has changed except for that the old dusty awning above customer service and the Bakery is gone (but the support beams are still there...?), and all the yellow sale signs in the store still say Western Beef. The receipt said Western Beef. The tag on the chicken I bought said Western Beef... I am confused to if the store actually changed or if just the sign on the building changed. Prices are still high and quality has not changed. Not sure if they are still in the process of switching the store around, but I was honestly not impressed at all. read more
